70   86   82   Guns N' Roses, Greatest Hits  2
Geffen | 001714 | Interscope | (16.98)

I found this pretty wierd, cool , yet Im not sure what cause this jump, this is for next weeks billboard, I was just checkin the charts on the web, and GH jumped 16 places. People may note know whats goin on or what the state of the band is, but clearly, people are liking it. 86 fuckin weeks this has been on the charts.

IT pales of course in comparrison to say Pink Floyds Dark side, but damn, its time to unlease CD, obviously the music buying public are interested.

Can anyone tell me how close the Greatest Hits is to selling 3million?  It seems like it has been on 2million for ever.  It has to be pretty close.   It's been in the top 100 for over a 103 weeks.  Anyone? Huh

Last I heard it was on 2.81 million. So it needs less then 200 hundred thousands to get to 3 mil.  It will eventually believe me.  It would almost be impossible for it not to go considering they have a new album coming out and that will boost it.  I believe it sells anywhere between 15,000-20,000 a week.  So I say by the end of the summer, if not before, it will be for sure.

I suppose selling 3 million albums of old material has made Geffen decide it was time for " Greatest Hits : Vol.2" now. Might as well make all the money we can off Guns n Roses.  Wink

I'm still dying to know who is still buying this album, how do they know about it..? I use to go to the mall a lot and local record stores and always check the gnr bin for new stuff since the net wasn't around and you weren't as informed.. I wonder if it's partly impulse buying..

I think a lot of is impulse buying, i see it on endcaps for 10 bucks all the time, which makes it pretty easy to pick up if you don't already own the songs on other cds. I personally don't own it since i have everything else, but i can see average jow liking it a lot.
