           Axl ,

If ya missed it....why did you change the demo version of "Catcher in the Rye" from its Beatles type fade out (Ala Hey Jude) to the finished version on the album ?  I always wondered it...

Bumble really made Catcher in the Rye so much better, I mean it was good, but he took it over the top, fantastic song

Hey Axl,

Are you checking your PM's???

Not rt now. It's a bit slow getting around on here rt now.

Let's talk about Catcher!!

Who's 1st?

Why did you add a La to the Na Na Na?

Are you paying tribute to L.A.?

Louisiana?

Or are you telling us to put our money on the Lakers this June?  10 GAME SERIES BABY!

Maybe you think Ann Wedgeworth did not get a fair shake on Three's Company.

I love the end of the song when you sing along with Bumblefoot's guitar, it really sounds awesome!
I thought that was Robin playing and Ron playing the main solo.

I'm a multi-instrumentalist 'DIY' type and I've had really bad writer's block the last couple of years. I overanalyze, come up with stuff and don't know where to take it...it's real frustrating but I don't want to give up because going to law school and becoming a lawyer would suck.

Any advice?

Thanks for taking the time tonight...

Axl,

I know Detroit isn't the cleanest place in the world, but do you at least have a good time when you perform here (or metro area), or is it one of those cities you dread visiting?

What is Catcher about? Alot of people seem to think its about Kurt Cobain, which i disagree with. Was Robin's solo picked to keep the whole album a Gn'R record, free of external influence?

Axl

what do you think about the Raiders losing to the Chargers for the 11th straight time?

P.S. Catcher in the Rye is my favorite Guns N' Roses song of all time next to Sweet Child O Mine (speaking of, my partner in crime says "aloha!")

Who's 1st?

The last 2 minutes of the song is some of my favorite music ever made...one of the highlights of the album. I really like the poetic style of the lyrics and the way the song seems to blend a lot of different influences and styles into one cohesive piece is a true work of art.

The lyrics seem to be about many different things that center around a theme of loss of innocence specific to the Lennon murder.

Bravo, sir. You and the band hit it out of the park (both the song and the album).

Catcher is simply my all-time favorite GnR song, next to Prostitute, November Rain, This I Love and Estranged. Simple as that. Wink
You must play the song live. You must!!
