Dizzy always puts on a great show, I'm sure this will be no exception.  If anyone is anywhere near the shows you won't get a better bang-per-buck that's for sure.

Saw Eric with Dizzy earlier in the year, and it was a GREAT show.   : ok:

Wasn't Eric Dover in "that former Guns N' Roses' guitarist's band" back in the mid-90's?

You can't say Slash's Snakepit? WTF? I guess Dizzy and Dover have played together for a while. No big deal just as it wasn't when BBF played with Duff. I have seen Dizzy solo and he kicks ass, this should be no exception. From what I understand this is only (for now) the month of June

You probably can, but don't be surprised if you're told to "fuck off" to some other section of the board.

I'm starting to realize that being a GNR fan these days is a pretty political affair. :hihi:

Who gives a shit if he played with Slash, Dover is an amazingly talented singer. If someone doesn't like him because he played with the big bad Slash, that person is not a fan of music. Judge the guy based on his pipes/songwriting not who he played with.,

I am surprised nobody has said anything about the whole "every Wednesday in June" part...IMO that makes any GnR dates in June unlikely...unless they were warm-up gigs near LA.  I continue to hold out hope that these side-projects do not affect GnR, or worse yet, are not born of frustration/inactivity with GnR.

As for Dover, I don't find it at all unusual or disturbing that he played in Snakepit...seems all these guys run in the same circles, or perhaps it is just a smaller industry/talent pool than I would imagine.

I'm all for this, but I have one complaint.  Even in the 80's, $4 for a PBR would not be considered a deal.  I'm sorry, there's a bar in town here you can get a can for $2 and I wouldn't even consider that a deal 20 years later.

You make a good point about these side projects that have sprung up after the rehearsals stopped. Is it possible that the rehearsals stopped because he decided not to go forward with a tour? I hope not, but it is a possibility. It is already June ans not a peep about a summer tour and the summer is pretty much hear. It is also possible because just look at what has transpired the last couple of months..Did Robin quit because there was no tour in sight? Maybe...Is Frank still here because Brain feels like there is no tour coming? Maybe...Richard, Ron, and Chris keeping busy with other projects...All of this outside activity does not seem to bode well for a tour anytime soon....

I think the plan was to tour, and maybe that still is the plan but the summer doesn't look very likely at this time.  Brain seemed excited at the prospects of a tour.  Azoff hinted at a tour, Axl said there were no plans but they were in negotiations or something to that effect.  They added DJ to the fold.  Why add a guitarist if there were no plans to tour?  Unfortunately plans change, as is often the case in the land of GNR.  Whatever the plans were, it appears that they have changed.

the prices are great for the location.  We are talking LA here not the Midwest.
Hell I can get good mixed drinks here for under $3 but I don't expect to get that deal in a major city.

That's all well and good, but I don't think a respectable bar in a major city even carries PBR.  That's like a 500% markup on a low class beer.

I don't want to stray OT - but just what defines 'respectable'?  I don't think the Whiskey, Rainbow, or most of the other Sunset Clubs would have been labelled 'repectable' in their day!  In some of the best joints to see a band, you would get a bottle smashed over your head if you called them respectable, or tried to order a tuna-tini or whatever the fashionable drink of the month is!   And they probably have PBR on tap...  :hihi:
