On the all the albums the ex members have done since leaving gnr being average, I say like myself all of you haven't even heard them all.. It's such a cliche to say oh without axl this or without axl that or the material is average or mediocre.. People are haters when it comes to anything non gnr.... I'm sure everyone has all of duff's albums, all of izzy's, gilby's work  Roll Eyes.. Alone slash's work with snakepit, and all his other solos with blackstreet or his work on street child is enough to know the man has done really good solos post gnr.. Everyone hates on anyone who says a negative thing about axl as an artist -you people know the long list-  So it's just the forum ways to say oh axl is the only one that can make good music and everyone else releases crap... I will always say bulshit because some of you saying it's average don't own shit..  yes I know you are the exceptions hihi

I agree that some of the people who've been in GNR in the past are very accomplished musicians. To be honest the only solo stuff I really like at all is some of Izzys. Even though the two albums I have sound like about 15 tracks of "Dust N' Bones" clones each, I still like 'em.

I really do think that Duff, Slash and certainly Matt for that matter just don't have enough creativity individually to make some magic. I think the only reason VR was successful was that the 3/5 of GNR magic was flowing. You get alot of people kissing Weilands ass saying that when he became the frontman people became interested. Not true. Their biggest hit (Fall To Pieces) is entirely a work (save the lyrics) of that GNR rythym section magic.

Having said that, I still believe that songs like The Blues & Better show that Axl was definately in the drivers seat as far as the overall direction of the GNR sound. For all of those reasons I'll always believe that whomever he has with him playing the tunes, it'll be GNR.

There's like a 99.999999% chance Izzy will have nothing to do with these shows other than possibly showing up backstage so thats good that you'll still see them anyway.

It's not about intelligence, it's about common sense. Hoping for Izzy to play with GNR and it being even close to happening are two totally different things.

I'm just kinda indifferent to him now that he's out of GNR. I really, really, really disliked him in GNR but now that he's out he can do whatever he wants with his nunchuckus and it won't bother me.  Grin

Eh, hating anyone takes too much energy.  And I don't know the guy well enough to expend that kinda energy on him....

I'm not a fan of his solo stuff.  It's OK, and virtuoso material, to be sure, but I'll take Satriani's style of stuff for solo guitar work.

I like most of the stuff he did for GnR (the leaks, the boots, etc).

The unfortunate thing about Buckethead leaving is an absence of the most talented musician this band has ever had.

IMO, no Buckethead is far worse than no Slash, Duff, ect.

You are not a Guns N' Roses fan.
You are an Axl and Friends fan. Anyone who wouldn't want a reunion is not a Guns N' Roses fan.

Hell the band your a fan of hasn't even put out any material.

Listen sister, I'm 33 years old. I've was around in '87 for the debut of GN'R and have been a fan ever since.
I happen to like this lineup BETTER than the origional. That's my choice, having witnessed both sides live, demos, ect.
And you tell me I'm not a GN'R fan. Funny.

My question to you is; What are you doing here?

and in my opinion you should put down the tube of glue you're? huffing.

jackass, those guys are the reason you are here in the first place!! wake the flying fuck up!!

Ah, calling me a jackass. Hope that makes you feel better about no reunion.

FYI, I'm wide fuckin awake, and my eyes are wide fuckin open. Are yours? Those guys are not here!!!!
Axl Rose is here. He is the only reason why GN'R are still around. He got me here, not the quitters.
