Design a Guns N Roses T-Shirt

I've been looking at the new GNR merchandise and I'm not really a big fan of the new t-shirt designs. I've always liked the old Appetite/Lies era designs, they just looked better. I'd be interested to see what type of t-shirt designs the fans could come up with. As I said I've always liked the old classic styles so I put one together...what about the rest of you? It'd be cool if GNR ran a competition to design their official merchandise...lets see what you come up with.

Apart from the AFD cover cross, I always found the skull, bones and blood tees and logos completely pathetic. For the most part.

Even as an angry 19-year old rebel back then... 

Now I'm old and grey 16 years later, and it's twice as lame.. 

For the most part, I love the new stuff.

Symbolism and lettering, and the new logo is really a stand-out. Love it. Ofcourse, some of the GNR Version 2.0 stuff could have used some more effort and some (bullet logo) of it harks back to the old stuff and not succesfully...

I'd love for a tee with the suicide/kamikaze bomber pilot tying his bandana (yes, I know he's japanese and it makes no difference), which also made for the greatest looking posters of the new era.

I also love my old and battle-worn GNR Lies cover tee.

Other than that, some new tees with imagery (like, say, from the Madagascar montage run at live shows) would fit the ticket.

I saw some fan created tees around the start of the 2006 tour I think - that had lyrics on them only (from Better and from The Blues). They were very cool and wholly original.

Yeah I know what you mean. But when I see the old classic skull and guns type t-shirts it always reminds me of my teenage years when GNR were getting big and thats stuck with me. As a 12yr old I thought they looked cool and I guess its a nostalgiac thing, when I see old metal t-shirts like that I think of rock n roll. I liked the Lies t-shirt but as a kid I wasn't into conceptual designs. I just liked the simple impact designs.

But I never really took to that heavy metal, skull and bones thing. I remember back in the mid 80s, most of my friends had denim jackets with back patches on. Piece of Mind (Maiden), Screaming for Vengeance (Priest), Last in Line (Dio) and so on.

I had.. Prince Purple Rain 

I loved all the metal but Prince was just THE SHIT to me (still is). Some thought it gay and weird. I had it on a black non-denim jacket to. This was maybe 1984. 1985? Two years later they were ALL rocking out to Prince and getting his albums 1999, Purple Rain, ATWIAD, Parade and Sign 'O The Times. I'll never forget that.
