A couple of shows Tommy is doing with Soul Asylum have been posted.
Also if you check out soulasylum.com you'll see the new band promo
shot with Tommy in it.

Tommy will probably be updating after the holidays. He's very busy.

GNR news: You'll have to wait for Tommy.


What the last line really means is anyone's guess.....

Maybe this whole GNR saga has made me this way, but am I the only one who sees this as being possibly bad news? It starts off about Soul Asylum dates and promo photo which could explain why he's busy. If he's busy with that, maybe the news we are waiting to hear from Tommy is he's gone, done with GNR. Like I said, I hope this is good news, but after watching this mess for the past however many years, I see the worst in everything.

Well, i dont wanna focus on the negative. And there is NO CHANCE IN HELL that Tommy would leave GNR. Why should he! He is Music Director in the band. And plays a important role..

Well, this update was NOT written by Tommy. So you can choose how to read it.. "You`ll HAVE to wait for Tommy" .. i think that sounds promesing...
But think for yourselfes...

Right.  The Webmaster doesn't know anything, therefore, wait for Tommy.  It doesn't mean anything good or bad.

Im not saying that it means that something IS happen, but the reason i think it is good new is because of all the thing
rumbeling around right now.. Like the Spanish show rumour.. Fortus back in GNR.. Tommy is Busy.. why should he be busy with Soul. A. if he is only doing 2 shows with them? And a promopicture means nothing...
Fortus mention tour, and early 2006.. i see no negative things happening..that just dont make sence to me

And as far as that SA 'promo shot' goes, Tommy sure does have a prominent position in that pic for just a 'temp'.

Probably because the clever webmaster knows that we jobless GN'R fans will be lurking around web sites hosted by band members, hoping for tidbits on CD and the like. 

Admit it: Fans concerned about Tommy and SA < Fans looking for GN'R info.

I took the last line as meaning, "There is some news on the GnR front, but you'll have to wait for Tommy to give the official news".
Could be that they're ready to release the record early in '06, or it could be that he has "officially" parted ways with the band.
I don't exactly think that the Soul Asylum gig is that great, but if they want to work and perform, and GnR continues to be a mystery, I can totally see him leaving GnR.
But I hope that the news is good......him leaving GnR would be diasterous for the band and any chance of hearing CD in the near future.

I feel the same way. If you're only doing a few shows, why do promos when you're only going to be in the band for a short period of time. Not very good news.

I don't see the big deal about all of this, it is obvious or at least, highly likely that the webmaster for Tommy's site has simply not heard any GnR news from Tommy, and by, "Wait For Tommy" is just referring to when Tommy gives him news on the situation.

Maybe the webmaster just said it because he knew we would all go crazy and wonder what the hidden meaning is?!  Maybe he is right here on the board watching our reactions... 


But seriously - Its not a big deal I dont think... as Jamie said, its just a person saying there is no news.

No, its a person giving info about tommy doing photo ops with another band. If Axl did photo ops with Skid Row, would you consider that 'no news'?
