I don't really care about Steven. Izzy would have been more important for me.

If Adler is in, Izzy is out by choice.

Or disrespected because of low ball offer.  Adler has already said he doesn't care about the money.

I was originally concerned that the Adler gig was pulled due to other 'issues'... thank goodness it sounds like he is safe and well.

If Steve's in then that's amazing news!  The return of the worlds greatest hard rock band... smoking

Even if Steve's sharing the set with Frank I think that's great news too.   beer

Or a million other reasons.

the most obvious is Izzy is out by choice however going on history.

I think this means surprise gig at Whiskey...as warmup before Vegas.

That's my thought too. It all seems too coincidental for it not to be related to this. Is there any mentions of refunds for adlers appetite? If not, that could be a big clue.

The only weird thing about it is Whisky's tweet.

They first say we're to stay tuned for a big announcement, then proceeds to give it all away by hash tagging GNR?

If it is that Adler needs to be in Vegas, then I'd say that development has only just happened, due to this Adler's appetite gig having support acts announced and booked. Which gives us the frank issue- we're pretty sure he's in.

If it is a secret return gig, the whiskey saying that is likely to get it pulled-as we saw with rumored low key shows in London a few years ago.....

Man, people, including me, are flying from all over the world to be there at the first show with axl and slash. I have to say it would suck if they played a show before that.

I guess thats already happened in a way to people though? Some GNR fans bought tickets to Coachella thinking they were the first dates, then a week or 2 or whatever it was later the vegas shows got announced...

i guess you just never know wtf is going to happen next with GNR.  Wink

Well, the press release for vegas specifically said, it will be the first time the world will see axl and slash together

Yeah it was presented that way, selfishly speaking I was hoping that Vegas was the first show as well.  Either way, the potential of a warm up show at a club has always been a possibility, so we'll just have to see what happens.   I knew the potential of that when I bought the tickets, but I know what you mean about it being a bummer.    The bright side for some fans is the prices on the Vegas shows might go down a little since its not technically the first time they will share the stage together in 23 years.

Also Coachella was never marketed as the first shows back for the band,  Vegas was.  Either way, playing at a place like the Whisky is more of a rehearsal in front of a few people than it is a show.  So I don't think any fans should get to down about it if in fact they do play there first.

There is also the potential that the Whisky thing is a press conference or some other type of event.

You mean Whisky canceled Adler's gig because they wanted to pull a prank?

If this is some sort of elaborate April's fool prank, they haven't thought this one through. People will hate them.  hihi

Maybe Adler concert was cancelled due to health issues or maybe poor ticket sales...and the big announcement thing is just to cause an impact . Why would he cancel his show only to be a special guest? I dont think this cancelation has nothing to do with Adler in GNR.

So, Adler cancels and the Whisky sees an opportunity to pull a mean prank on the GNR fans?

It's a bad idea...

Perhaps it's a GNR press conference announcing tour details...

Could be. Black Sabbath did that at the Whisky.
