On Jizzy Pearl's message board Jon talked about being approached to tour this summer with GNR, but the posts are now deleted

I don't know the guy, but IF they were going to tour they'd obviously need a replacement and from what Axl's been saying he still considers Robin and all others on CD to be the current members of GNR.  So a temporary replacement would make sense until NIN goes on an extended break.  Not sure it was all meant to happen that way, but if the shoe fits.

I thought Adler's Appetite had some members from Love Hate in the band.  Was Corabi in that band?  Every 80's tribute album has one member from the band Love Hate participating on the album.

Yeah I'm not necessarily buying this rumor, but I do think it's possible they could be looking for someone to at the least temporarily replace Robin if Buckethead isn't likely to return.  Otherwise we'll be waiting awhile to they hit the road again.

Pick Zakk Wylde for a 10 show contract.  That would be badass.

Approached, not signed.  Post was removed.  No one is replacing Robin.  Once NIN is done, he'll be back and the guys will tour.  Let's wait until the NIN/Jane's dates are final, but I think we are looking at late summer/early fall.

Strange his posts on myspace would be deleted off. Kind of like when Nick deleted the video of him saying he was doing stuff with Guns a day later.

I knew it! Jizzy Pearl was in both Adler's Appetite and every single 80's tribute ever, including the Appetite for Reconstruction Electronica Album Released in 1999.  Yes, I really did buy that album.

I hear you.  I certainly hope THAT'S not the reason for the holdup.  No disrespect to Robin, but I'd hate to think his absence is holding the band back.  On the one hand I certainly think things would've gone down differently if he never left, then again I don't think he's a necessity to move on.  Like you said, move on without him for now and if he's ready to come back in later on down the line and both sides are in agreement, then okay.

I don't think so. I think Guns N' Roses is waiting for Robin himself.

I know some people don't like the idea of GN'R depending of NIN touring but I think it is.

And I think is a good idea...Guns N' Roses have to wait for Robin.

Jon. E Love.

Was wicked in his youth when he was with Love/Hate, who were never the same after he left.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8oDt7VSkyU

I love how over the verse where the bass is playin that slap n pop groove. if you listen carefully (kinda hard on that shit bitrate though) i love how he is playing that awesome tap harmonic tune all over it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjyoa18MTD0&feature=related n heres a crazy rockin track

Now. The issue is, last i read. He was majorly fucked up like most guys from unsuccessful bands of that era. But if he is sober and kickin ass still, i see him having no problem.

Jon was fired in 1993. N replaced by some other guy.

Then it was that line up with other guitarist most of the time. Then the drummer n guitarist left. N it was just jizzy n skid. Then Skid left n it was just Jizzy n random guys.

Then they reformed for a few shows recently originals. Now they are touring all originals but Jon.

NIN tour effectively ended on 3/2/09?

They have two "one off" shows at The Gorge and Bonnarro, both festivals. They'll end up playing one long set each night needing little or no rehearsal.  It would make sense to hang on until now and bring back Finck planning for something later in the year.

If Axl can land Finck, Fortus and Bumblefoot with Brain, Stinson, Reed, Pitman, we would be in line to see some of the best rock and roll shows ever performed.  That would be a band thats familiarized with the material and hungry as hell.

NIN are playing with Jane's later on this year, but it is an amphitheater tour and will probably hit 15 to 20 markets at the most.  That could be covered in a month and I thought I read that they would start in May.  The festival dates could be the last and then an August or September start-up is perfectly within reason.  What do you guys not get about Axl saying that Robin is interested in touring?  He was the best thing about '06 other than Axl.  I think we should want to see the BAND and that band includes Robin.

I honnestly don't see how Robin could join GNR on an arena tour without rehearsing, like, at all ?
Ok, if the NIN tour ends on July 13th and if the GNR one kicks in August, how much of a preparation does it leave ?

Whoops...Seems I misread the dates. Then I'd say it would be very feasible and I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one  Grin

those love/hate clips are alittle crap, shit vocals and lyrics. music very 80's, but i think this guy could work some cool tunes with axl.
The band never professed to be genius's......

And these guys are a 90s band. I dont see how its "very" 80s.  Other than the backing vocals on the first song.  The second song sounds more like a Janes Addiction styled track.

I honnestly don't see how Robin could join GNR on an arena tour without rehearsing, like, at all ?
Ok, if the NIN tour ends on July 13th and if the GNR one kicks in August, how much of a preparation does it leave ?

Robin wouldn't really need a lot of preparation. All he would really need is a few days to get the pyro cues figured out so he don't catch himself on fire. He has been playing the songs for a long time so I'm pretty sure he don't need to learn them.
