Jim Carrey Comes to Grips with New Blonde

Jim Carrey held fast to the possibility of a new girlfriend last night -- clinging to some woman we've never seen before outside a Guns 'N Roses concert in L.A.

Whoever she is -- she's really crimping his style.

Watching this over again now (starts with Easy though). Can't get over how fuckin' Amazing this band is. Don't have superlatives good enough to describe. Frank must be the best Battery Guns ever had beer And Bumble's awesome. Have he started doin' more background vocals on this tour than before? He got a good voice for sure. And about time Tommy play some of his solo stuff instead of old covers too. Motivation truly rocks! Wish Bumble could play one of his songs too, together with his solo.

Hey. I finally got time to post my review.

I was in the pit about 10 rows back (which is really only about 10 feet when you think about it.)  It was really amazing. It made me appreciate the new band even more, especially Richard and Tommy.  Tommy was really amazing on the bass the whole night.  I feel like he nailed the bass parts and Duff's sound(like Civil War for example).  He just had a great energy and stage presence.  I love the blazer he wears too, it is pretty stylish.  Richard had some amazing parts especially his James Bond solo, Another Brick In The Wall 2, and KOHD.   I also loved Ron's solo especially when he goes balls-out shredding on it.   Axl was also in a great mood the whole night.   He said something like "this show was a nightmare to make happen...but this is great and I want to thank every single one of you."   I also made a point to throw my hands in the air and whatnot whenever Axl would look in my direction.

My favorite part about this show was just the crowd and how much they were loving it.  EVERYBODY in the venue was into it.  There wasn't any kind of hipster LA vibe, like they were too cool or anything.  People were dancing to every single song...it really kept the energy going and I think Axl fed off of it.   I feel like a lot of the songs came off a lot better live than on record especially Don't Cry, and KOHD.  Axl had a few vocal parts that really blew me away.   He did what I call a "lyrical fireball" at the end of Rosie...which was on par with something from '92.   The ending part of Don't Cry sounded like an angel.   Really emotional performance. Also Axl looked really thin, which was cool.   Frank also looked awesome in the sunglasses pounding away at the drums, and the dude does a great job with the fills.  I felt like he really works hard at the kit.   Even though it was a similar setlist, the energy of the show was really amazing.

It's about great music, not costume changes, skits or whatever.  Something like KOHD is no longer a gimmicky sing-along.  Instead, it's a chance for some bluesy soulful guitar jams.  So much better than even the Illusions tour era.  AMAZING!!

What an amazing Christmas present the fans in L.A. got.

Possibly the best show on the tour (so far).  Smiley

To anyone that likes to talk shit about Los Angeles, the people of Los Angeles, and stereotypes about Los Angeles...

All I can say is that we filled up that arena.  No tarps needed for LA, we packed that place.

Best crowd of the whole tour, too.

Oh yeah, and the best Guns N' Roses show I've seen.

Later.

With all due respect, LA with a population of almost 4 million people, should sell out an arena.  The city has a higher population than many of the entire states that have been visited.
