Yeah, I don't know why he can't just say "Oh My God was played" or "Oh My God was not played"

I can see me in the second picture below!! I was one of the only people in my section (304) who was standing for almost the whole show. I see me clearly in the balcony on the right about five rows back. The blob with the brown shirt is me.

They did not do any surprises that I heard. The so-called "new song" was probably the cover of AD/DC Riff Raff which they did in the encore and was after Better if I remember correctly. OMG definitely was not played. It was the same set list, in a different order, that has been played during this tour.

Another fantastic three hour show. The sound mixing was the best I heard of the three times I saw them this year. Not too much bass and drums as before. Vocals were perfectly clear. Guitars sounded great. Axl's voice was great, as during this whole tour.

My wife is not even a Gunner and she liked the show. I loved it. Stood the entire time, people in back of me be-damned. My section 304 was lame and most everyone just sat there. Seemed to be a lot of casual fans who knew only the hits from days past. Who sits for an entire GNR show? But in general the audience was energetic and especially the floor. Axl seemed to be in a good mood and engaged with the audience more than I saw earlier this year.

My main complaint is that the Joint allows smoking--no fire hazard? At one point in the show, about half way through, there was a strong burning smell like something was on fire and the place became extremely smoky. It was hard to see the crowd on the floor. But no emergency. We were surrounded by smokers (not even the right stuff) so our clothes smell (stink) and I got a headache. I cannot believe that in the 21st century in America there are venues that still permit smoking. Nonetheless, it is a great venue for a concert.

My personal highlights were Estranged, Civil War, Madagascar, and Nightrain. Better sounded the best of all the times I have heard it live. The wife loved This I Love and November Rain, so she was happy to hear her favorites.

Just a great night all the way around and I cannot think of a better way to bring in the New Year. I hope this portends of a great 2012.

Longest review in here and 50% of it is about folks smoking?  I quit years ago but I'm actually quite stoked that some place in this pussified country still allows it! GNR represents what little is left of RNR...I'll be damned before I whine about a few cigs at a show.

Best GNR concert I have ever been to. I am an old school gunner and yup I am confident in saying this no matter how fucking bold it may sound. Big fucking public thank you to axlrosegnr.

Just to list some things:

- couple of knuckleheds standing right next to us on the floor starting fighting over a chick I guess and got thrown out. Kind of funny I guess. This during Youth Gone Wild from Baz's show no less.

- GNR ...I am still trying to sort through in my head. They really are fantastic. This band right here right now... perfection. Tight as hell and Axl ... he is a beast. Knocked shit right the fuck out. I think it wasn't till last night that I fully just got won over by DJ Ashba. There is something special with him. On friday I talked to this dude wearing a GNR shirt on a monorail and he said something to me I found striking at the time. He said for him DJ Ashba is also AKA Slash who? After last night, yea.. The dude completes this band. They have this chemistry that is kind of hypnotic.

The songs have this punch to them. I think a lot of that has to do with Frank. The Appetite songs are jsut punchy now as all hell. No bullshit, they sounded better last night then they do on the album. When Baz was doing his thing during his show, it was fun. The songs all sound very 80s style and I felt like I was in a timewarp. The dude still kind of looked the same and sounded the same, and the songs took me back but sounded very 80's (not necessarily knocking that).

GNR... their songs all of them Appetite right on through Chinese D... fucking modern and hardcore. Powerful stuff. I was really blown away and for as many times as I have seen GNR live, last night was like a statement. This band is Guns N' Roses the best fucking band in the goddamn world. No gimmicks no bullshit lean mean ... they are the best band in the world today. I really can't believe how great they are. They are special and I really can't wait for new music from them. They are the real deal.

After Paradise I was literally an inch, fingers reach from catching Axl's mic. But I did catch a bottle of water that Ron through out. I wasn't sure I should drink from it . I think I will and stuff the streamers and confetti I took and keep it in the bottle. That's almost as good as catching Axl's mic...right axlrosegnr?


- afterwards Baz walked right in front of me and the wife as we were waiting for a cab. He might be a goob but he is fun.

What a night. I feel so thankful.


Anyone know if there is a way to download this show like with iclips or something like I guess they were able to do on the other night. I would love to have the show all proshot. It was a perfect Guns N' Roses concert. I feel so lucky to have been there and got to hang with some cool motherfuckers. What's up Ray! Thank you again axlrosegnr.
