Yes, everything I have read and a few people who seem to be in the know, are saying that AC/DC will have a new album and tour in 2008.

Picked up "Plug me In" and I LOVE IT.

Here's my question:

Anyone found any mp3 boots of the DVD's?  Or know how to extract MP3's or .wav's from the DVD's?

I want an audio only version I can listen to in my car......

AC/DC will reportedly play special "secret" club gig on January 25 at Glashaus in Reinach, Switzerland. Only 400 tickets are apparently available for the concert, which is part of a short mini-tour of small venues the band is planning on undertaking at the end of the month.

According to the Spanish web site RafaBasa.com, AC/DC has been quietly working on its first all-new album since 2000's "Stiff Upper Lip" with Robert John "Mutt" Lange, and is planning on releasing the effort ? which is rumored to be titled "Strap It On" (a name that has apparently been bounced around for at least the last couple of years) ? at the end of April. The group's guitarist, Angus Young, is also said to have fully recovered from a recent knee injury which had apparently contributed to the delay in getting the new record completed.

According to the Spanish metal webzine The Metal Circus, AC/DC will tour during the second half of 2008. A source told the site that some of the AC/DC tour crew was informed that the group will hit the road later in the year. There are currently no details available regarding where or when the tour will start.

In other news, Total Rock has reported that there's a fair chance that AC/DC will play one of the so-called "secret shows" in the UK in late January. Speculation is running wild regarding possible cities that will host these showcases, but the group's record label, Sony/BMG, is keeping things quiet, with Sony BMG Italy going as far as to deny that there are plans for an AC/DC album and tour at this moment.

I wonder what Brian Johnson's voice is like nowadays. On Stiff Upper Lip, you could tell they were having to hold back a bit due to the lack of power in his voice. Dude's 60 now. Shocked

Yeah, I really liked Stiff Upper Lip when I first got it, but listening to it today, it sounds pretty tame compared to their older stuff.

But I still wanna go to their shows. headbanger

Anyone else a fan of Ballbreaker? It has some cool stuff on it and IMO is underrated. Cover You In Oil and Burnin' Alive are two favourites of mine from it.

Might be my favorite Johnson fronted album. I have to listen to it from start to finish it's all so good.

I hope AC/DC does something this year (or soon) before they're too old to put on a high energy show, but nobody should hold their breath regardless of the current rumours - at least from things I've heard from people reasonably close to the band. Hope I'm wrong.
