Would've been interesting to hear Slash's thoughts on his band though.

Why are you keeping track of when I'm logged in and who's in my Myspace "top friends" then?

Come on....

Everything you say is bullshit. You act one way and post claiming the opposite.

You don't care about me, but there you are trying to make fun of me elsewhere.

Obviously you care enough to spend time mentioning me on other sites!

I don't care what you think of me or what you use your valuable time on, but stand for what you do and don't act like you "don't care".

 :)

aren't you the same guy that always complains about axl coming up in this part of the forum

Yes!

I apologize for making a joke.

for some reason, i think you are doing all of the above to me. again, i dont care about you, bro! you should live and be well, but i want nothing to do with you. im not tracking/following you around. i dont have enough time to do that even if i wanted to. you come off as though you "own" gnr and are the end-all , be-it-all of the band...and yes, regarding that aspect of you, i do not feel you are the guy for the job and i dont think the band feels you are either..just my gut...

Title: Re: Slash @ The Grammy's

i dont care about you, bro!

Of course not!

But too bad I know the opposite is true!

and yes, regarding that aspect of you,you should live and be well, but i want nothing to do with you.

Likewise!

you come off as though you "own" gnr and the are end-all , be it all of the band...

The most amusing things is, I don't recognize that description at all.

The only thing I see is somebody claiming he doesn't care about me, but he has my name in his signature on another forum, he keeps track of when I'm logged in, he likes to post in threads I post in, once told me "you're not the only insider (or something similar)" and thinks he knows what I'm about....

and yes, regarding that aspect of you, i do not feel you are the guy for the job and i dont think the band feels you are either..just my gut...

Priceless!

I get attacked for "thinking I'm representing the band", which I never did, or something and here you are telling me you know what the band thinks.....

All this from a newbie who just registered a few weeks ago.....

Pre-Grammy glamour infusion

Davis' annual party packs in the stars and the top-name performers at the Beverly Hilton.

By Chris Lee, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
February 11, 2008

Arriving in the final stretch of one of the bleakest awards seasons on record, Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party on Saturday night arrived as a reminder of certain inalienable Hollywood truths.

Then there were the performances.

"American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry ran through a short set with Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash and Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger that included a cover of Credence Clearwater Revival's "Born on the Bayou." "I was here last year and I had to sit in the audience," Daughtry said, "and it sucks watching everyone else perform."

I think for the most part, players like to play.  When you've reached icon status like Slash has, everyone imaginable will ask you.  Playing Clive Davis' party is a virtual no brainer, when he asks - you just do it.

With things looking less than positive on the VR front, he better get his live Jones on whenever he can...

Yeah, playing to help a charity and playing at Clive Davis's party (one of the most influential executives in music industry history) is really something Slash should avoid to save some credibility. Lord knows the recipients of the charitable aid from money raised at the Peapod Foundation Event are heart broken he would whore himself out to play with Fergie regardless of the spirit of the event. It is good that Slash uses his celebrity for positive causes, even if it means playing with fluff artists. If you are Slash and Cljve Davis invites you to play at his party, you do it no questions asked. He did alot for Slash and the VR guys by giving them a deal and believing in them when VR first started. Loyalty to those who have done well for you in the past is an admirable quality, and only someone totally self-absorbed would avoid either of these situations if they were a musician.

Yeah, playing to help a charity

Nothing wrong with that.

and playing at Clive Davis's party (one of the most influential executives in music industry history)

Yeah, I guess you have to play at the party for the man who got you your record deal and Grammy award. :)

Edited to add: I just dislike Nickelback.  :hihi:

So this did not happen after all?

Fergie & Slash Will Perform Together At Grammy's?

Artist: Fergie

It has already been reported on MOG that Fergie will perform at the Grammy awards ceremony this Sunday and that she will sing with RnB star John Legend. But according to inside sources who have been attending the rehearsals, it looks like Fergie will also be performing a duet with Slash:

has anyone in the history of music had worse luck with lead singers than slash and duff???  they go from axl, who tried to turn the most kick ass band in rock history into a symphany orchestra techno shit band to scott weiland who is the biggest drugie piece of shit in music, who embarrassed slash and duff's reputation with that "bad stp" album libertad.  axl might release new music before slash and duff ever find a singer that's worth a fuck....ok, that's stretching it, axl will never release anymore music, he'll just tour off of 20 year old songs and waste more studio time.  slash and duff should just get back with izzy and let him do the singing, now that would be some good shit!!!

-1 for bringing Axl up in a thread that has nothing to do with him just so you can try to get a reaction from GN'R     VR fans.

It's trolling. Which we don't like.

So thats funny because you did the exact same thing to get a reaction.....

Supposedly, it was three (3) years ago, but he got it back ...
http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=18858.0

But I don't know how true that story was because last year his luggage had been lost when he was flying from Canada to London and he claimed it contained a lot of expensive jewelry.  A few days later when his luggage was found, he said something like he was just "joking" about the missing jewelry.

Man, Slash is on fire here.  I love how he sounds during the Sublime song!  I like the looks of his new Epiphone Signature series.  Looks good!
