I?m reading reviews and listening to those mp3/videos... man, Axl?s sound great!

BUT, try to sing for 2 hours... even if you are a singer, imagine how many shows Axl will do now (with these already scheduled) and when they release the new album and start the world tour...

every "normal band" plays lots of songs for the last album and some hits... SHIT, GNR HAVE THE "RADIO HITS" AND AT LEAST 10 SONGS THAT NEED TO BE ON THE SET !! ( Axl is fucked  hihi )

so, my question is... will u prefer they do an 1 hour and a half set knowing that every show you?ll hear the Axl?s best voice or "nevermind" the last 5/6 songs that Axl?s voice wasn?t "so great", but the band did keep playing and that?s what you wanted??

I read a few articles bashing Axl and the show, some journalists just want to make "news"... I?m just imagining some of these "journalists" saying "this is not the real GNR"... "Axl?s clothes, hair and etc etc etc... he?s weird now".... bla bla bla and "he can?t sing anymore, he can?t sing like the old days... just listening to this song (- journalist) (and pick one of the last songs of the show, where?s Axl didn?t sing so GREAT because he did 60 shows straight before)

what you think?

Honestly I don't think that will be an issue for Axl Rose. I really Don't!

Yeah, I know that sing 2 hours in a row very often is something that can fuck with any singer, but listening to the show I see that is prepared for this...

But answering your question: i'd rather se a 1 1/2 hour show and see the best of him!

This is why Axl has 3 guitarists and a kick ass band behind him now. He can sing 4 songs , walk off the stage and catch his breath. Relax his voice well enough and then come back after a solo by Thal or Fortus. Come back do 4 more songs , repeat...lol.

RIR is a "special" show, I think their idea is to do a long show... but I did mean the "normals" shows around the world

Don't think 2 hour will be a problem. Remember Springsteen who've been playing and singing 3 and 4 hour shows the most of his career..  Wink

How long was their setlist in 2002? He looks to be in as good - if not better - shape than he was in 2002. Shouldn't be too much of a problem for the Ax-man!

Stinson can sing too! Back in the day Izzy did a couple songs ( dust & Bones, 14 Years). Id be cool to see them do something where Axl is on backing vocals on a song or 2 to mix it up a bit.

I would hope they play 2 hours per show...don't most bands?  I haven't been to that many concerts, but the ones I have average 2 hours.

that?s what I was talking about  Tongue

(from the May 14 show):

how was his voice? was live and let die good?

I thought his voice was very impressive in some parts, but I really thought that he was still suffering on other songs from losing his voice just a day ago.

But on Nightrain the second to last song he had a little left in reserve and just killed it!!
But on some songs he sounded weaker and/or they were losing him in the mix.

But he seemed really pumped up and into his performance!!

Axl was dressed the exact same.

Axl said he had completely lost his voice yesterday. Everything gone!!
He said Baz pointed him to a vocal and throat expert and that it saved the day.
Axl was freaked out because he wouldn't be able to do the show if he voice never came back!!!!

since so far the 4 nyc shows are pretty much old songs, with 5-6 new songs, but they are called warm up shows so is it possible that more new material will get played during the tour or will be what we've seen in nyc?
