yeah like could axl be refering the old band as Riad N the bedouins, had a plan and thought they win, but I don't give a fuck cause im not crazy.  It just kind of dawned on me last night listening to the song. I could be completely wrong.

Man o man....Anything Axl writes is always either attributed to the old Guns or Stephanie Seymour.  As if those 2 entities were the ONLY ones to cause emotional turmoil in his life.

Yes, it could be about the old Guns, but it could also be about something else.  From the recent things he's said, it also sounds like each song could have multiple inspirations or not be related to anything at all!

In any case, I get my own inspiration out if it and enjoy the hell out of the song Grin  yes

ps, this is not a bash on anyone, just my personal opinion Smiley

Intially it reminded me of Zeppelins Immigrant song... and it still does in a way. The imagery used, sort of foreign, mid east sounding mideast vibe, sort of substitutes for the tales of Vikings and Valhala... and then of course the AHHHHHHHHahhhhh ah, you know what I mean.

Now that Ive listened to it more, its taken on a life of its on and I definately agree its a reference to the old band. Its not a favorite, but I like it. It adds musical diversity to the album.

I think so. I guess ppbebe was talking about Ron's quick slide with Brain drum loop.

How do you do that in media player?

'Now playing' > 'Enhancements'> 'Graphic Equalizer'
> 'Turn On' the equalizer> click 'Default' to select an option from a list of 'preset' equalizer settings.

Did anyone notice the little bit of the intro from Scraped during the intro to Riad?
At about 42secs into the song

Think I know what you're talkin about but it's very vague and drowned out.

I didn't like the bootleg versions I heard from 2002, but I'd certainly be willing to give it another shot.  I like the studio version MUCH better.
