This might be the wrong place to ask, but.... Has anyone else had problems to join "Nightrain" ? When I try to pay it, it always says " The charge authorization has been declined".
In Guns n Roses.com they just said, I should contact to my bank.... Creditcard is valid!

Are you using a credit card with the same name you have registered to Nightrain with? For example if you have registered using your own name (duh) but are using someone else's credit card to pay for it (always a good idea), it will most likely cause an authorization issue.

Yes... Absolutely. Same name...

I encountered a probem because I had a different billing address to the address I wanted the shirt sent to- I had to go back and sort it by filling in the addresses separately.

I would say though, that if you're doing it for pre-sale access, I'd say it's pretty unlikely there will be any tickets left now, and you'd be better off taking your chances in the general sale on Friday.....

It's fraud protection by your bank.  Call the customer service number on the back of the card and confirm it was you making that particular purchase.  Until you do, that card will continue to be rejected by all merchants.  Even though your creditcard is valid, during this time of year (Christmas/Hanukkah) when people make not only more but also more unusual purchases, some banks put this extra layer of security on their cards for your protection.  It's a pain but it's a good thing.

Surely it could be that, it happened to me when I made an online purchase in Kazakhstan. But sounds very weird why that would happen in a US shop when trying to pay $45.

My bank screwed up that nicely. The purchase was authorised and they did not contact me but simply locked my card. I went to my local supermarket right after and I don't care so much how embarrassing it was but I had to leave all my groceries including beer there rant

Yeah, it saved my ass. Not the same thing, but Amazon warned me and rejected a purchase: someone hacked my account and bought an iPhone 7 128 GB unlocked (and a screen protection, lol) in US. And I had made purchases before in US, but somehow its system recognized it was someone else (maybe because she failed to put some info about my credit card).

Just a PSA: don't use the same passwords for different things. I was probably hacked in Linkedin first, and then the person used the same login/password to use my Twitter and Amazon accounts. Sad

So going to the London show and also slane in ireland. Just managed to book a hotel not far from slane but it was hard work finding availability. Also got a car hire to get me there from Dublin airport etc, pretty expensive overall but will be worth it. Particularly looking forward to my first experience in the apparent golden circle! Hopefully with the price I've paid I'll get a good view haha.

I honestly believe they will come back to the uk again at some point. I live in the north close to Liverpool and I was a bit surprised with only one show announced. I thought the Etihad stadium would be a good venue as I saw him there with AC/DC last June and it was amazing.

If you're hiring a car to get to Slane. Be prepared for a bit of walking as they won't let you drive into Slane village without a resident pass. There's usually a few fields outside reserved for parking but still a bit of a walk to the venue. Hopefully we'll get nice weather for the day, see you in the circle.

Can anyone give more info about presales, prices, etc?

I'm not a Nighttrain member but willing to sign up today if I can get hold of standing (possibly gold circle) tickets for the London show (am I too late to the party?).
Where can one check availability, prices etc?
Also, pretty sure they'll add 1-2 extra London dates on either 17th / 18th / 19th beer

PPS I'm also considering Dublin, Bilbao and/or Imola, can anyone post more info about these please? ok

Cheers

Imola is hard for both tickets and accommodation anywhere closer than some 25 miles from Imola with no public transport apparently available. Unless, of course, there are some special buses for the show, that I don't know.

I've got all that sorted already but I have no idea how is a Formula 1 track as a rock venue. Does anyone know about that? I must say I'm actually a little worried that it's just not at all good but never mind the darkness, we still can find a way smoking

The presale tickets for London (standing/gc) are not available anymore. I'm gonna try again in regular sale tomorrow or any other show that'll be added

I'd hazard a guess that Nightrain pre-sale tickets will be gone for every venue by now. I'd say it's not worth joining if your only reason to is to get pre-sale tickets now, and you're better off getting in on the general sale tomorrow.

19th? There's a show in Poland on the 20th.
Even the 18th would seem highly unlikely for the same reason.

IF there's a second show, it would be the day after the first one. Like in nine cases out of ten (Chicago was an exception).

Thanks guys for all the replies. I guess I'll just cross fingers and see if I can snatch tickets for me and my friends tomorrow morning at the public sale.

RE extra London date, Jarmo, you're right - more likely on 17th. Just thought that stadium tours usually happen with two travelling stage sets + use of local crews, so that they can set up camp somewhere and dismantle somewhere else pretty much at the same time. But not sure it'll be the case for this tour.

For all of you wondering about Imola - I've never seen a concert there. The first event held there was in 1998 - you can see here the magnitude of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biAYd0S2V0U

Depending on layouts, health and safety and other logistical issues my guess is that it'll host anything from 90k to 150k people.

AC/DC played in front of over 90k people there in 2015, an event organised by Italian promoter Barley Arts. Apparently since then they had an exclusive 3-year deal for the use of the Autodromo as a concert venue, and this deal has now allegedly been breached by Live Nation Italia (formerly Milano Concerti) for the GN'R 2017 event. There might be some sort of legal action happening soon. I don't think there'll be a change of venue, but you never know. Claudio Trotta of Barley Arts writes about it here (in Italian): https://www.facebook.com/dtrot/posts/10154785097394595?pnref=story

Anyway, if it does happen in Imola, it's usually VERY hot. Don't rely on local public transports, and expect lower organisational standards compared to the rest of Europe, but with similar (high) prices.

FWIW, there's a company specialised in concert travel in Italy, with coaches departing from all the main Italian cities.
It looks like they are setting up service for GN'R: http://www.eventinbus.com/artisti/guns-n-roses_48.html
And I'm pretty sure there will be a link from Bologna, so you can safely fly and be based there. The way it works, coaches drop fans at the venue before the concert and pick them up at the end.

I have a discount code I had set up earlier this year for the Deep Purple tour. Not sure if it's still valid, but feel free to try - it should give 10% off any bookings: "DEEP-2016".

Good luck everyone Smiley

Glad it worked out for you. I had probably the same problems when I tried to join Nightrain last april. I think the problem was that I had to use the bank app on my phone and change the setting to "allow all internet purchases for the next hour" then I think it would've worked.

I'm a Swede with a Nordea Visa card. I've only had troubles paying for something on the internet twice, once with Nightrain and later on when buying a T-shirt from E-bay. I asked the bank how to solve it and they told me to try and change that setting, and it worked, I paid for the shirt.

Got my friend to join Nightrain instead and get tickets, used his code again this time for Stockholm and Copenhagen tickets.  beer

My experience joining Nightrain filled pages 3 and 4 of this thread http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=67223.40

Anyway, try that next time and hopefully it will work, sorry for rambling on. ok

Yes, probably at least two sets of steel that travel. But usually on the day before the show, the traveling crew will be setting up for the show.
Rarely would this all be done on show day....

Anyone any idea when the extra London show will be announced? Could it be as early as tomorrow morning if(likely a when) the first sells out within an hour?
