hey mario one question ...

some poeple says the 90% of the tickets were sold...

and some shitty channels says there where a few fans out side...

WHAT DID YOU SEE ??

MY understanding is the company  (28 producciones) was saying that 90% of tickets were sold. This could be to scare people into buying tickets...An old marketing technique. I dont know which channel did an interview of a fan who was already at the stadium two nights before the day of the concert, he was suprised he was the only one there. I did see a lot of people after noon going with gnr t-shirts towards the concert, that was just minutes before I found out the concert had been cancelled.

But lets wait for marito's reponse Tongue

Dj ASHBA? I was devastated when I heard the show was canceled in Costa Rica. Unbelievable to me that over 20,000 tickets were sold, we come to town ready to play, and can't. The stage was deemed "Unsafe" I truly am sorry and bummed for each and everyone of the fans that bought tickets and were looking forward to the GN'R concert .... I am in El Salvador, we are very much looking forward to the concert. Hope to see you all there!

People stop thinking that GnR would cancel a show due to poor tickets sales that would not fucing happen.  In Stoon they had maybe 50% sold and they played for almost 3 hours.  However as it was reported by band members the show was close to being sold out.   The stage collapsed because the people putting the stage together fucked up.

Bumblefoot:
After the show didn't happen in Costa Rica on the 9th, I took GNR fans
in the hotel with me to a remote spot outside and gave them a good
2-hour-ish personal acoustic show, with their wonderful help on vocals,
acoustic bass, and a guitar for me to use. Had to make music that
night, I wish it could have been as it should ha...ve been, but at least
tried to bring smiles to the group that was there, as they did for me Smiley

Don't think I've ever seen a guy that cares about his fans as much as Ron does. That is awesome.

Ok he is my story i'm one of the guys in the picture. I was really depressed that the concert was cancelled, i live like 2 kms from the Marriot Hotel, i decided to go there to see if at least i could meet the band, and at 3:00 pm i went to the hotel. I was there from 3:00 to 10:00 pm, i met everyone but Axl Sad , the band was really sad that the concert got cancelled, i asked DJ if they were working on a new album and he said that he is always writing, that was cool to hear. Then later at night i met Ron, there were very few fans, life 5 or 6 fans, he said that he was very sorry what happened to the concert, then i asked him to play an acoustic show for us, he went to eat something, i was at the same restaurant with the whole band, i also met Jarmo, cool dude. Then Ron came to my table and said that he was going to get his guitar.

When we were going up the stairs to the lobby and told him that i wanted to go to El Salvador show and he gave me a free ticket and a backstage pass, how amazing is that? out of this world, well i couldn't make it to El Salvador, sad.

Ok then we took some pics with Ron and we werer looking for a spot to play the acoustic show. He took us to his hotel room, that was unbelievable, i was the one that told him what songs to play, kinda like he gave me the leadership because it was my idea to do the acoustic show.
Then we went at the parking lot and more people came, the ones that are in the picture, and kept playing till 9:00.

Thank you Ron, you are the greatest person alive, an example, you are humble, down to earth so talented. I love you my friend.

Private Concert Setlist (not in order):

(Some Jammins between Songs)
Don't Cry
Madagascar
Catcher in the Rye
Better
If the World
Street of Dreams
Patience
Used to Love Her
Cover song (don't remember wich one)
Paradise City

Inspiring moment, the energy and vibe was ubelievable
Cheers!!!

What happened to the show in Guatemala?  Is that not taking place anymore?

according to the article from la nacion, that's one version, though unconfirmed... weird that they would cancel one and favour the other..
