Not enough salt on the pretzels to make it sweet and salty.  Not that I wanted a soggy pretzel but it's really crunchy when you do get a pretzel piece.

This is not an improvement on the Peanut Butter cup if you ask me.  I'm wondering who thought we could love these more anyway.  hihi

Coke and pretzels if you want sweet and salty.  Not chocolate and peanut butter.

I agree with both assessments.  The prepackaged versions just....aren't great.

So...here's the right way to do it:

Preheat your oven on 250 F/ 120C

Lay out a layer of pretzel minis on a baking sheet.

put one mini peanut butter cup on each pretzel (I prefer the dark chocolate ones).

Put in the oven for literally a minute or two, til the cups get melty.

Take em out of the oven to cool. If you're feeling super fancy, while they're still a bit melty, you can push a reeces pieces into each peanut butter cup.  I'd leave them for at least 30 minutes (still a bit melty) but if you really want them to set, give them an hour or so (like they'll last that long on the counter...LOL).

Trust me, these things are like crack

I'm just going to blame this sudden urge for chocolate on GNR.  They're starting the tour in Hershey!  I could be in real trouble if someday they decide to start it in Lynchburg, Tennessee.   hihi

Kit Kat Key Lime Pie.  This is pretty good.  I'm a lime junkie to begin with.  Tastes just like Key Lime.  Hurry, limited edition.

Never though of that but I do occasionally like hot peanut butter.  I do have the skill for roasting the perfect marshmallow.

Halloween candy is out.  I can buy a whole bag of Peanut Butter cups for almost the same price as two, two packs.  The great thing about that is I save money and it's way too early to buy Halloween candy so I'll just have to eat the whole bag.  Cheesy

They have peanut butter cups with green bottoms for Halloween.  Not sure if it's suppose to have a minty taste, might have covid, but I didn't taste it and I sampled a whole bag.   hihi  I blame GNR, it was a long show.

The Reese's float in the Rose Parade was a little scary.  The Fighting Cuppie looks like something you need to call the Ghostbusters for.  hihi

New peanut butter cups for Christmas.  Giving them a try.

The Christmas Tree shape, excellent.  Lots of peanut butter in them.

The Santas, leave you a little flat.   hihi  They are flat, very little peanut butter but still good.

The Nutcrackers, I would say about a 50/50 ratio between the chocolate and the peanut butter.  One biters.

The White Christmas Tree, more like a fudge taste.  Has the most calories, not that anybody cares but they do make that obvious on the package.  hihi

Still need to check out the bells.

Reese's Popcorn   Huh  Are they on drugs?  hihi

I didn't find a heart shaped peanut butter cup.  Surely they make them for Valentine's Day.  I've decided to extend my holiday taste testing to the rest of the holidays.  They should have some Easter shapes.

Didn't find any St Patrick Day shapes so onto the Easter ones.

Little Bunnies, more chocolate than peanut butter.  Not a bunny shape but a weird little one is in the mold for the chocolate.  Easter Egg shape, equal amounts of chocolate and peanut butter.  The peanut butter isn't as light and fluffy as it is in the cups.  Comes in solid colors and tie dye.  Not really feeling it.

Christmas tree is still in the lead for most favorite.  I don't think they do shapes again until Halloween.

White Eggs, white creme chocolate and peanut butter filling.  Good stuff, the peanut butter filling is light and fluffy.  I'm a fan of white chocolate and can go either way with the white or dark.

They had one with a marshmallow/peanut butter filling but I wasn't feeling that today.  I'll grab it later.  Still a long way to Easter.

Oh I never should have told people I was doing the challenge.  Today somebody gave me one.  I think it might be for St Patrick's Day by the design on the package.  Might have been a caramel one.  It was one of those passing things when I was busy and I just popped it in my mouth.

You tell folks you're doing shit like that and they start to give you stuff.  How I ended up with everything flamingo.  Er, I don't really like flamingos.  At one time I got a kick out of covering people's yards in flamingos but I'm over that and I'm over the whole covering people's yards in other shit too.  Stop giving me shit!

But back to the peanut butter challenge, 6 pounds folks.  Between that and the girl scout cookies, 6 fucking pounds.  The extra luggage and the overdose on sugar, I'm done until Halloween.  I'm onto squash.  Don't tell anybody.  I'm going to be done with it by the time they start harvesting it from their gardens.

Dairy Queen does milk shakes in Girl Scout cookie flavors during the summer.  Probably a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup one too.  I like milk shakes.  I might have to make that a new challenge, try all the milk shake and ice cream products that come in the Reese's  flavor.   Cool
