For the people that dont think its gnr, then why did merck freak when this song was leaked online? If it was not gnr in this song those threads would have just been locked and not deleted completely. Also like I said its a rumor that its prostitute (or even another gnr song) but checkmate is not the title. And like I said, merck always chooses his words carefully. He said that checkmate is not a gnr song. That just means that there is not gnr song named checkmate. He NEVER said its not axl. And now that he caught the person who had the clip, its not going to leak untilhe gave it to someone else.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see, eh?

Fire and ice is easy to explain. It means the songs is slow and cold then fast and heavy.
And the main point is checkmate is not the title of the song that was leaked. It is gnr. The point is it might be prostitute. It could be another gnr song but the point is it is gnr

OK, well laugh all you want EFISH!!!!   but really, i don't know, i can read through and 'hear' the background music, and it sounds pretty good to me!  plus, you would think the same thing if you were to just go through and read interpretations of the lyrics to TWAT, CITR, IRS, Better, etc.  They might just look like a 9 year old wrote them becase they are incorrect (it's not always easy to understand what axl is singing).

I'm not saying they're correct, but they do make me excited to hear the whole song
