Just saw that! So happy for Mickey (this was a great little film) and thankful to Axl for letting them have the tune.

That was so cool.
Mickey won glob award for the leading role in Wrestler and thanked Axl for that. Said something like: "we didn't have money and Axl came and gave us Sweet Child O 'Mine" (correct me if I'm wrong)
Sweet
Cheers!

Making a serious comeback in the final round, 'The Wrestler' star Rourke was named Best Actor in a Motion Picture ? Drama, pinning opponenets Frank Langella, Brad Pitt, DiCaprio and Sean Penn. "It's been a very, very long road back for me," he admitted. "Several years ago I was almost out of this business." He thanked song contributors Bruce Springsteen and Axl Rose, his dogs and director Darren Aronofsky, who "brought the best out of me; he's smarter than the rest of us." http://www.etonline.com/awards/goldenglobes/2009/2009/01/69570/And part of his speech, not the Axl mention. I don't see that...yet anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5p9swQBfT8

Trust me, u don't have to be a wrestling fan to like this movie. this really isn't a "Wrestling" movie just like "Rocky" really isn't a boxing movie. sure it has it in there but its way way more than that. It is a great human struggle/journey type struggle that everyone can relate to.

I don't have to say how happy I am at the moment.
My all time favorite actor won a GG after years in hell, and he mentions my all time favorite singer.
Can life get any better today ?
