1. This would be the first band Axl sang a full set with outside of Hollywood Rose/LA Guns/GNR since he was in Rapidfire .. 33 years ago

2. If he doesn't do it I nominate Billy Joel crew member Chainsaw http://youtu.be/Cj0uC5UdfHY

When I first heard Brian was stepping down I immediately thought of Axl doing Whole Lotta Rosie. With the new GnR tour about to take off though I didn't think it'd be possible. The way things have been happening lately though I'm thinking all things are possible. This may happen for a song or two, I don't think Axl would commit fully to do ten full sets with AC/DC but you never know. I'll be very interested to see what happens here. He might need his karaoke monitors installed on their stage.

From talking to people, the reaction to this is pretty divided. Some people think it's amazing (fans of both bands), but a lot of AC/DC fans hate it. Most of the negativity is aimed solely at Axl, as if the band had no say and he just decided he was going to be the singer. Personally, I think it'd be interesting; I'd go if it was close to me, but I wouldnt travel for it. It's also the only way I'd pay to see AC/DC. The message boards and comments seem to be way more anti-Axl. I kinda wish he'd just stick with GnR right now (a year ago, or during other down times, I'd definitely be more for it). But hey, Axl's a fan and if he thinks it'd be a fun opportunity, fuck it, go for it. Busy time to be Axl Rose all of a sudden. I love it!

Somebody said AC/DC would open for GN'R on the tour and that Axl would sing with both bands...

I just find this to be to crazy to even think about... Has this been discussed?

If you actually read that article, you can clearly tell is a joke piece.

However, I have had more people ask me about this rumor over the past 2 weeks than ask me about the actual GNR tour.  That's sort of annoying.

I don't think any vocalist is able to do this, pretty harsh on vocals, maybe one night but a whole tour?

Even one night would be rough.  AC/DC has precisely zero ballads.

I can't see a singer doing this either... Richard has done this in the past on Guitar, and I could picture a scenario where Slash or Duff play with two bands on the same bill... but not Axl, he is his instrument... there is not changing strings or swapping between A and B amp rigs for him.

I don't know what this proves, but both Axl and AC/DC are spotted coming out of the same building, reportedly AC/DC's rehearsal space.

I wouldn't say I'm worried, more...concerned.

I assume we are all in that boat.  So long as this doesn't negatively impact any aspect of GNR even .001%, hey, great.

But if it does, this was a horrible idea.

Did love this line in the TMZ story though :

Not even a little bit.

I think AC/DC even with a guest singer would make for a great opener on the tour, but I'd prefer Axl to rest and just do the GNR part

Its also a bit weird, and takes away from when you first see him for their set.

I've been to several Pearl Jam shows where Eddie wanders out with the opener for their last song.  And its sort of weird.

The AC/DC opening for GN'R part of the TMZ article, they got from that recent joke article lol.

That will never happen imo.

By the way, this rumoured ACDC tour will probably happen by the end of the year... maybe GNR world tour will be pushed to 2017.

I know I read the article, but still it would make sense to have a heavy hitting opener for a stadium tour....would help sell tickets  peace
