Now i'm not asking anyone to post any mp3 up or anything like that, but does anyone have the recording of GnR doing Down on the Street by the Stooges?

It's been rumoured to have been recorded, but there hasn't been anyone able to 100% confirm that.

actually, when I talked a bit with gilby after one of his solo shows in '00, he did say they recorded another Stooges song, as well as a Hanoi Rock tune ( I thought he said Beer & a cigarette, but I'm not sure anymore)

This is what Mike Monroe said years ago before the Hanoi Rocks reunion:

Yeah, ?Beer And A Cigarette? but they thought Andy McCoy was too much of a prick to deserve the publishing money.

I remember reading about the covers back in 1993 when there were rumors about the cover album coming out. Down On The Street and "a Hanoi Rocks" song were mentioned.

There's a cover of that song on Gilby's "Pawnshop Guitars" album. Duff plays drums and bass on it.

I guess it's possible that Duff and Gilby recorded it while GN'R were doing "TSI?" sessions.

When Gilby went to Argentina in the 94. He told to the press that he recorded in his own album, because that was the one song of all of the TSI that he and Axl's like it. But for some reasons it was never published Sad no
