Why do you think they are doing this show?  Seems kind of random, no?

When it was announced, I assumed that others around this date would follow, but they did not.

Does Axl just have an overwhelming desire to see Bethlehem, PA?

ha i really dont know.....

it is super random location for a GNR show being that there are no other shows around it ...its not THAT close to the festival show they are doing either

im at the Sands all the time... and furious that I cant go due to it being on a Tuesday

im sure he will be busing it back to NYC after the show

funny- I can only go cause it is on a Tuesday-my 1 day off! only a 2.5 hr drive for me. I'm sure it's just a warm-up & an opportunity to to a smaller venue close to NYC.

Wow, I only pop on here to lurk once in a bit these days but it will be cool to run into some familiar faces at the show!  I am just glad this one off is close enough for me to get away to overnight since Vegas isn't in the cards for me right now.   ok

I really thought there would be more shows added around this one. It is pretty weird that it's a stand alone show. But... it is only an hour & a half from my house, so i'm psyched! Plus, it'll be me and my girlfriend's first GnR concert together!

Not necessarily.
You could bring the bare essentials to the show (production wise) and the festival, and then have something completely different built up in Vegas for the residency.

They have professionals that could setup anything without testing. Just speculation on my part. This casino brings in a lot of big acts and GnR is just one of them. I hope they do something like last years residency.

I'd be fine with no pyro and nothing fancy.  I don't think pyro adds very much.   However I don't mind it either.   This show is getting closer by the day.  I am ready.  I have been ready!

Very true. Especially in computer software we see professionals releasing anything without testing. And it all ends up in tears.

The staging and production at the last residency was unlike anything the band has traveled with on tour. So I think it's not unlikely that we will see something different in Las Vegas later this month.

But for the two shows prior, it might be scaled down... Maybe something similar to last year's US shows. Who knows.
