I've received the following update from Izzy regarding the AA show at Key Club and the possibility of him re-joining Adlers Appetite for more shows :

"I will not be playing with Adlers band in Argentina. I played a couple songs Saturday night w/Adlers band....... was fun.... they are going to Argentina to play August 2nd and 3rd I believe..... Just want to let fans know I will not be playing in Argentina in August. Cheers.... Izzy"

from chopaway.com

I'm guessing that no recordings have surfaced yet  Undecided Izzy also mentioned that the Key Club gig was "a good laugh", but jokingly added "hope it wasn't recorded" rofl

The Key Club show was filmed and recorded for a possible release,

From Adlers Billboard interview.

It sounded like Izzy was really energetic.

A solo tour in 2007 still a dream?

It's time Izzy got back out on the road with his solo material  Cool For that to happen he needs a record label, and for that to happen he needs to go and find one.

Unless we bring the record label to him....  nervous

I don't think he needs a record company to tour, unless he's planning on filling arenas...

A small clubs tour would be really easy to book. I can help him do a tour in Europe. Not the US though, don't know many people there...

Even though I don't think Izzy needs anybody's help. All he has to do is show up...

As I've said, if Izzy comes to England, I will travel nearly anywhere to go and see him, and drag friends with me as well.

His music is definetely THE best of any music made by Gnr members after UYI and some of my favourite modern music as well (mainly, i guess because it has a great 60's/70's vibe to it).  But to a tour, I say "FUCK YEAH" and even opening for Guns would also be very cool.  Prefer clubs though, with just Izzy and the band.

Do you have a source for this?

As far as I'm aware he hasn't referenced this himself in any interview. The last time he mentioned touring (Nov 06) he said "if people start pulling the downloads off the net then yeh we could try and set something up".

I would like nothing better than a solo tour but not getting my hopes up unless someone can show me a source.

Oh dude, don't even take my statement to be something official.  NO WAY!  No credible sources or anything, that's just the word on the street and at the clubs.

Please, don't get your hopes up.  If you don't expect anything, the surprise is so much better.  ok

Speaking to Mark the Shark of the TK101 radio station in Florida, Slash stated about the July 28, 2007 gig, "I went down there for a minute to say 'Hi' to Steven [Adler, original GUNS N' ROSES drummer, who was headlining the show with his band ADLER'S APPETITE] and what-not. What happened was Steven has finally come out of that sort of haze that he's been in for the last 17 years ? I don't think I need to explain it any more than that. I was sort of instrumental in getting him out of the place he was in into a little bit more sober kind of environment. So I've been hanging out with him and supporting him and stuff. He had that gig that was about to happen, and I'm really jazzed that he's gotten back on the drums and he's gotten ambitious again and he's gonna go out and play. And then at some point he went public and said? Steven's just an excitable guy and he meant well when he said it, but he said that there was gonna be this reunion, that I was gonna be there and Duff [McKagan] and Izzy [Stradlin] and Axl [Rose] possibly, and that just fueled that already rapid-fire kind of GUNS N' ROSES rumors that goes on. Once I started getting phone calls and e-mails from all over the world about this gig, I said, 'You know what? I can't support it as such 'cause that's not what it is.' So I went down there but I didn't wanna get up and play because I didn't wanna fuel that any further. So I think Duff got up and played, and Izzy got up and played, and it was what it was, but I don't see any reunion happening for real."

Wow, Slash is agreeing with me!

Just like me, he couldn't support the gig because of the whole reunion bullshit.

Well I think the differences is sometimes you make Adler out to be a giant liar and stuff of the sort but as Slash said its in his nature to be over excited and etc.. Good move on Slash's part , but I still would've loved to see it.

You're putting words in my mouth. I consider it an attack on me.

Slash sticks up for his friend.

Maybe the fact that Steven's been talking about this reunion ever since he got to hang out with Axl last September kinda makes it difficult for me to see his good intentions?

Just because every time he does, the press writes about a reunion that's supposed to happen and it's supposed to make Steven a lot of money.

Maybe there's some good intentions hidden there somewhere. All I can see is a guy who wants to make a shit load of money.

He's creating confusion and spreading mistruths about a reunion, maybe that's all about his good intentions.  Roll Eyes

Like I said you make him out to be a liar with no good intent , and the only difference is slash said he had good intentions , he is an excitable guy. I mean I should trust you though because you did know Adler on a personal level since high school and played in a band , toured the world, and help set an intervention up for Steven because you knew him very well , oh wait!!! Once again you're using this as a reason to make me seem like the bad guy and Slash is the good guy just because he's friends with Steven. Even though we both agreed on the fact that Steven's way of promoting the show was bullshit.

I really don't need to be friends with him to see what his comments caused.

But that makes me the bad guy who says Steven is a liar.

Everything to attack me and try to discredit me while your hero Slash is always cool because he say Steven gets excited. Slash would never say anything bad about his friends right?  Roll Eyes

Wasn't it established that you have no clue about me already?

Good on Izzy for making it clear where his involvement with Steven's band begins and ends.

I hope that if an official recording of the show does surface that Steven takes into consideration the wishes of all those performing that night and that the marketing for the product isn't as misleading as some of the publicity surrounding the gig itself.

Credit as well to Slash for clarifying his reasons for not playing that night.? I don't frequent his own site nor that of VR but would be interesting in knowing from anyone who does visit them, whether he made it clear that he wouldn't be performing before the show or whether the explanation was only given after the event.? ?Undecided
