Title: Buckethead out of GN'R according to Total Guitar
Post by: suicide on March 13, 2004, 05:36:25 AM
Just went to town to see if I could find the Greatest Hits album, but it's not in stores yet here. So I bought the Total Guitar Magazine (#121 April 2004 issue), Slash is on the cover, and on page 14 it says:
"Ex-GN'R nutter Buckethead has forged an unlikely musical alliance with the cast of Lord of the Rings. The oddball crew have recorded Pandemorium fromamerica, an album of experimental sounds and spoken word passages. "I do chipmunk voices," explained Elijah Wood (aka Frodo Baggins)."

It looks like Buckethead's really out of GN'R (not just because of this article) OR someone likes us to believe he's out, you never know with GN'R.

We've known about Buckethead doing this for ages it means nothing until he's announced his departure or Axl has he is still a member

I think you are wrong Bucketrose. I mean, c'mon, Buckets nopt just waiting around, he's got a thousand things going, it's not like his GN'R association is hurting him...and i think that GN'R revel in all these rumors. Axl has to love this, probably reminds him of the old days, when there was a new rumor every week about him dying or Slash overdosing

They prolly got that from the Net, just like we did.

I guess we'll just have to wait to see if Rio happens...then we'll know for sure.  But if GnR blows off the Rio show, then I think we can safely conclude that BH's involvement with Axl is over with.

I think it is safe to say that if GNR isn't at RIR4, then Axl has ruined his last chance at greatness and that GNR is over with.  This is actually a very likely scenario unfortunately.

Can anyone believe that Axl hasn't uttered a public word since 12/5/2002?  That is all I need to tell me things are not good in GNR world.

Well,I don't know about this if he is out then oh well it may be a good thing for gn'r image wise because BH is one of the reasons gnr is a laughing stock.I know this may sound a bit crazy but CD and the revolver album keep getting pushed back maybe a possible re-union in '05 or '06 just a thought

And dont belive what the mags say. By the time they write something about GNR, we have already discussed it for over a month, 6-7 pages, over and done with.

I think so too.  These rumors that become gospel once they circle around and  make their way into print journalism.  But with such little real news, what can one expect?

good I hope he has left GNR they dont need him. They already have robin     atleast gnr wont look like a circus act anymore. Anyway if buckethead does quit that leaves an opening for slash to come back.

Bootsy Collins introduced Buckethead to Joan Rivers on the Red Carpet Pre-Grammy Show as "the Guns N' Roses Guitarist".

And if you can't believe the word of a guy named "Bootsy" who can you believe?  :P

BUCKETHEAD IS GN'R [headbanger]

haha, nicely put

i can't wait till we actually get something confirmed with this band, like some sort of press release or something like that, i'm sure alot of questions will be answered come rir4, if they show, we'll get answers, if they don't show, we'll get answers

It is very easy to mistakingly conclude that Buckethead is out of the band because there is never any information. Combine no info with the usual GNR drama, and it's easy to conclude that Buckethead isn't with the band.

But, Buckethead is definitly with the band. ;)

From my perspective, I'm being positive, not negative.  I never thought BH was a good fit in this band anyway, so if he's out of the way, perhaps it will make room for a guitarist that could capture some of that good ol' magic and cohesion with Axl.  Slash and Axl had something great together.  BH and Axl....naahhhhhh!!
