I'm assuming they met at the Freddie Tribute Concert. It's also amusing that Axl is always being called a homophobe in the press, but he likes Queen, Elton John, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and Liza. As for Liza, rumour was ( back then) that her and axl had spent the night together...
