Title: The Spaghetti Incident is Refrshing
Post by: privatereserve on May 18, 2004, 08:33:38 PM
I here so much of the hits of gnr on the radio and listen to Use your Illusions all the time, its refreshing to pop in the Spaghetti Incident.  I think it kicks ass.  They are all covers but who doesn't do covers in todays music industry.  P-Diddy for example.  Anyone agree?  Peace Out  :smoking:

I agree. It was a nice change of pace. I love 'Since I Don't Have You' and 'Ain't It Fun', though Duff had waaaaaaaay too much mic time on that album...

Though The Spaghetti Incident is far from the best GNR-album it has its moments.

"Ain?t It Fun" and maybe "Down On The Farm" could easily be included in a new Chinese-Democracy-Tour set list - IMO.

 : ok:

Yeah !  ;D Axl?s accent on "Down .." kind of remind me of Eric Idle?s voice.  :hihi:

I also love "Aint it fun" and "Raw Power" and all those but my favorit song after "Aint it fun" on this CD in "Hair of the dog"  and I think it?s very underrated song

I love Spaghetti.  For me it's their best Summer album.  what i mean by that is; The sun is shining, you have the ice cold beers and BBQ going on, ur mates are around getting a bit stoned and having a great laughect and it's like the best thing to put on.

Duff is great on there man, i am a Duff fan though.

I always think those who totally trash the album just believe everything they read in Kerrang! you know?  They go on side of the critic without really giving it time. Probably only played it once - when they bought it.

The Spaghetti Incident is great to listen to for a change of pace.

My favorite songs on it are: Since I Don't Have You, Down on the Farm, and Buick Makane.

;D probably true , i bought the album a few years ago just to have it i havent ever put it on the cd player , because i had heard that the album was horrible , and like i love all the other albums i just didnt care for this one , to be honest the cover songs thing was the main thing i didnt hear it , just covers in an album? but well i will give it a chance soon.
