from www.velvet-revolver.com

The shows in Montreal, Canada (11/13), Rochester, NY (11/14,) Chicago, IL (11/21) and Moline, IL (11/22) have been cancelled today, according to the Blue Cross Arena website, Ticketmaster, and the Allstate Arena website. The shows have also been taken down from the Ticketmaster website. Due to the recent rescheduling and cancellation of shows, more and more rumours are rising about other cancellations as well. Please note that whenever I receive additional or new info, I will post it immediately.

Maybe some premature arena booking action and some rethinking along the way???

Before those four, they cancelled two shows (WI and MN).

All of them were "pairs" I believe. WI and MN were one, now Montreal and NY plus the two IL shows.

This tour is a complete mess thus far. They should have scheduled and booked every date ahead of time and really launched the thing, rather than this rag tag add and subtract a few as you go. This has been an overwhelming dissapointment thus far in terms of organzation and promotion.

19 - Minneapolis, MN @ Target Center
20 - Madison, WI @ Dane County Coliseum

No idea about the WI show, but Target Center is an arena right? GN'R played there in 2002.

Yes, it is an arena.

I spoke with a DJ buddy of mine from Z104.5 (sponsoring station of Edgefest show 10/19) in Tulsa last night and he said the only cancelation on their bill thus far was The Distillers (that hurts as much if VR no shows for me) and VR was good to go...

Hopefully is just a logistical problem although I fear the worst...

This really sucks.  If they were gonna have such a problem with these dates, why did they announce them????  I was really looking forward to Chicago, now it looks as if I'll be disappointed again.  I mean, they're better off not announcing anything until they are totally sure that they can play there.  And the Chicago date, I checked the site, and they have no other events listed for that date, very strange.  Hopefully, they'll reschedule this shit and I can see them.

This is fucking bullshit!  Why the fuck would Montreal have a presale yesterday (for which I bought a ticket) and then cancel the show the next day.  What the fuck!?!?!  Not only that, I am not sure but i don't think I was fully refunded... I was in such a panic when I read the email that I did not look at all the details fully.  Must check that out now.

P.S.  I was lucky enough to see GN'R twice in 2002... now I know how those of you who got fucked during that tour must have felt.

Yeah I was right, they only refunded me US$55 instead of the US$62.40 I spent on the ticket.  What the fuck is that?

I got fucked that tour (cancelled one week before Greenville, SC), and now this tour as well.  Also, the first leg of this tour I missed as well.  Something has to change for the better.

Did anyone in management check the schedule for possible hockey games? The Toronto date (Nov. 16th), had a game scheduled, it's dumb to assume it will be cancelled due to lockout-I hope they don't print my ticket with the wrong date (16th)-oh brother.

I know it's the rumour going around but I don't think the change in the Toronto date has anything to do with a hockey game.  Anyone who follows hockey knows that the NHL has given each team permission to book events a month in advance.  Since today is October 16th, that means November 16th would have been alright.  Also, there is no way the NHL labour dispute is gonna be solved any time soon.  So this rumour is just an excuse for someone else's bigtime fuck-up!  Has anyone looked at the tour schedule today?  I think there is a 9-10 day gap before the Toronto gig.  That is very strange... makes you think there might be more dates added.  Well, after I got fucked by Montreal I decided I had to try for Toronto.  They better not pull the plug on this one cause I gotta book my flight and I don't wanna get fucked again.  I'll stop rambling now, bye.

Yeah, it's BS. Ticketmaster gets to keep their fees even though you didn't get your tix.

Me and my friends bought 3 tickets for the Montreal show on Nov.13. The next day, they cancelled the show and sent us our money back (only the price of our ticks and the shipping). So, we paid 22 $ US (about 30 $ CAN...) for absolutly nothing......

I think that 22 $ US is worth an anwser...

I just want to know WHY DID THEY CANCEL THE SHOW ???

Province of Quebec is known to be a good public in rock shows. Sold out for Metallica, Maiden, GN'R (in 92). Big bands always come to Montreal, even Quebec City. The selling of Contraband was good (in the top 10), the 2 singles were in the top 10 on the radio... People like GN'R, people like STP, and, more important, PEOPLE LIKE VELVET REVOLVER...

Maybe they though that they couldn't fill the Bell Center. Maybe they want to rescedule the show at another place, smaller like the Metropolis...

I think Velvet Revolver needs to give an answer... Otherwise, they will lose fans in Quebec...
