Title: will chinese democaracy be released under their original deal?
Post by: Wheres Izzy on December 02, 2004, 12:42:14 AM
I don't know how many albums they originally signed for in the 80's, but I don't recall ever hearing anything where Axl had to negotiate any new deal. Does anyone know if chinese democracy is going to be part of the original deal? With the greatest hits release thats 7 if you count illusions as 2. I doubt they signed an 8 album deal but it's possible.

i do know in the aerosmith autobiography "walk this way"  aerosmiths manager at the time Tim Collins talked about how horrible of a deal GNR had signed, so maybe they arent as rich as we thinkthey are, surely axl renegotiated the deal if it was as bad as Aerosmith's manager at the time let on.

Couldn't be that bad a deal seeing as it has been over 13 years (Did I really just type that) since we have heard any original GNR material, yet there is no pressure on Axl to get anything done. Especially when rumors float that the label has dumped 13 million into this project.
