If you can't see my scan, you need to add www.heretodaygonetohell.com
to your firewall/security setting's "ALLOWED" list."

Well Axl has been seen like 5 times in a few weeks now. Plus there is that RIO rumor that they are close to signining. So this could finally be the year. If all the rumors are true like Rio and DVC then May/June could be when CD is released. That is the earliest we will prob see it.

Thanks gypsy!

Says Roses Manager Merck Mercuriadis "He's almost finished and he's confident that it will come out this year."

I'm confident of that too! hooray! :lmao:

Funny how he's spent $13 million dollars and that figure hasn't changed in years.

Good article. Anyone have the latest Blender Magazine? I have a subscription, but still haven't received the most recent issue. Blender makes a GNR mention about every other issue, and with the recent Axl sightings, its pretty much a guarantee that they will have something to say about it.

He should release it on the exact same day the next VR album comes out. What a day that would be!

The record company stopped funding the project .. so who knows what axl has spent from his own pocket.

I know Im stupid and all, but I can't find any allowed list in my firewall settings!
do you mean the windows one, or the one on our various anti-virus programs and such?

You're NOT stupid (or maybe it's just that we both are).? I was never able to figure out the "windows" one so since I have Norton, I just turned off the windows firewall.

The instructions to add to the Norton "allowed" list are posted here:
http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=18595.0

If you use a different one, maybe someone in that thread can help you if you post the kind you use.

thanks SO much Gypsy!
my windows firewall was turned off, so I kinda figured it had to do with the anti-virus program.
luckily I have Norton, and Ive followed your instructions now. it doesn't work still but I probably have to restart, which Im not gonna do yet cos Im downloading stuff, lol.
but Im sure it will work when I do!
thanks for thinking Im not stupid too :)

POP CULTURE MYSTERIES OF 2006
WHEN CAN WE HEAR 'CHINESE DEMOCRACY'?

In 1994, Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses entered an L.A. Studio to begin recording their new album, Chinese Democracy. Twelve years later, there's still no new album - and the reasons why are cloudier than Lake Erie. What's certain is that in that time, Rose has parted ways with the old band members, worked with dozens of producers and musicians, and, according to reports, spent more than $13 million on studio time, recording gear, instrument rentals, and support staff - while releasing just one original recording back in 1999. The cornrowed singer gave GNR fans little hope in mid-January when he promised that "people will hear music this year", but the band?s label, Geffen, doesn't have the album on its release schedule. Says Rose's manager Merck Mercuriadis, "He's almost finished and he's confident that it will come out this year," though he wouldn't confirm a date. Or a month. Or a friggin' season.
