Hey guys,

I live in North Jersey and was listening to this broadcast. It ended at 2:48am. I never participate in anything, usually couldn't care less, but for some reason - I felt liek chimming in:) I also rarely listen to radio anymore (cause it sucks), but I was listening to 104.3 in my car (onlky time I listen to the radio), on route 17 in Jersey, and realized these annoying radio DJ's were NOT kidding, and AXL was really going to do an interview, so I listened. It was good.

But those dorky FKN radio DJ's ruined it, really. And what the hell is up with 'BAZ' or, I'm sorry, is it 'BAS'. HE IS SO ANNOYING! Ya know, the guy is a minor B-level 'rock legend' in his own right, but you'd never know it, because he's so damn annoying, and talks like a hyper California surfer kid from the early 80s, and wont ever shut the hell up. Anyone else think he sounds like a parody of Vince Neil, at conversation - not voice? He does to me. I thought he was a DJ pretending to be Vince Neil for a while. Then I realized, that was actually the SKid Row frontman? Anyway, I hate almost all radio 'DJs' - they think they're so witty and funny, but they're almost only just annoying and ruin interviews.

Instead of everyone letting AXL talk, and share some seriously entertaining stories about his fkn life, we have to be constantly interrupted by really lame DJs, and BAZ himself. Bas, or Baz, was as gitty as a little teenage schoolgirl when Axl entered the stuido - dude Baz, you were embarassing yourself. You'd never have imagined this was the guy that 'also' sold out areans and sold millions of records... (although Skid Row had some cool tunes back in the day, so whatever - he just was annoying).

The point is - when you're interviewing a bonafide rock legend (let's be fair, Axl did earn that, along with a very small handful of others in the music business) - he may have some entertaining and funny stories to tell. But no, DJs (and Baz acting like a DJ) ruin the interview with really annoying and unfunny interruptions every two seconds. They wouldn't let Axl just fill in any 'dead silence', no, these idiot DJs believe dead silence will kill ratings... Instead the ruined what could have been 2 straight hours of Axl stories, and gave us a very choppy, scattered, meaningless 2 hours or bs. Q104.3, fire all those dorky DJs. Please, they suck at interviewing.

Notice when Stern has a cool guest 0 he lets them SPEAK. He doesn't run all over the place with non sequiturs, or allow every Joe Schmore nobody chime in and waste the time you have with the guest.

Sorry, to rant and rave. And sorry to be harsh on Bas, but he was acting annoying. Ok, otherwise maybe he's alright. I don't know. I really never pay much attention to the rock scene anymore. I am still in the 80s, and just hate everything since the 90s and currently. So, when I do hear a throwback from my era on the radio, I just wished we could hear him speak, and not have to listen to bs.

That would be a disaster and last all of 2-3 minutes before he excused himself from the interview.

The Baz was not that bad tonight, you guys make it seem like Axl had so much to say and all the guys ruined it. He really was just playing off of their stories and whatnot as he didn't exactly have a ton to say himself. He wasn't going to talk about his album, tour, band or ex-band at all......so what should the hosts have done to keep the interview moving other than jump in with new stories here or there?

It just happened that I heard Axl might be on this show tonight and I fired up my Live Sound Recorder program and captured the entire thing.

From the buildup Bach gave to the surreality of Axl arriving, it was pure excitement but they actually delivered with a really fun and informative interview.  All the guys - Bach, Ian, Trunk, Jericho and Axl himself - created a fun atmosphere and it translated into good radio.  The Piazza call toward the end was great as well.  The interview went surprisingly smoothly with a lot of funny moments...no, its not a hard-hitting interview, but it shouldnt have been.  Axl was just hanging out and he came across as very cool and down-to-earth.  Id love to hear him do Opie & Anthonys show, they have a very similar vibe.  Or Ron & Fez, who do great interviews with musicians and other artists.

By the way, is there more to the interview?

Totally agree. Sebastian's energy amplified the excitement and made it THAT much more surreal, awesome, and hilarious. I don't know how anyone could not get a kick outta that guy. Jericho was pretty cool also. I loved his autograph story, lol.

I really liked how the whole interview had the vibe of a couple of old friends kicking back and reminiscing. No real pressure, nothing formal, just spontaneous and wild stuff that was entertaining to listen to.

What programme do you need to play it cos everytime I try to open the files it says I need to search the internet or summat to get the programme.

I listened to the whole thing on the radio, and it was great.

But I kinda' understand if nobody recorded it, because it wasn't like they played any new songs or anything like that.   Not something that you'd listen to over and over again, you know?

But it was damn sweet to listen to!

all the stuff about the making of the Use Your Illusion albums, no wonder Axl lost interest in the band. It sounded like GnR were pretty much over then, even before the UYI albums were out. No wonder they kept themselves to themselves during the UYI tour and split at the end of it.

how come nobody has the last 15 mins.i had to go to work halfway through the show so i missed the last half or so.

The web stream died, but the live FM broadcast played the whole thing.

i can?t believe it, a small part of the interview is missing and already people begin speculating and making up things. Axl said it clearly that they had a new guitarist, but it was no one from the past, and he mentiones that Izzy might show up at the shows, but he didn?t say that he was playing anything, so this is all more rumours, i suggest you stick to what Axl states in the interview, which is a whole lot............

OK everyone. Earlier today people on here provided a link to Q104.3's website with 5 parts of the interview for download. I downloaded them all, took out the crap at the beginning of them, and fused them together into one file. It's around 19 MB and is a WMA file, so you'll need Windows Media Player to play it, and if you're using a Mac, I'm sure iTunes will convert it for you if you import it.
