I'm as happy as everyone about the recent news (gnr.com + tour) but,I was wondering about what will next year bring? It is the 20th Anniversary of "Appetite for Destruction" being released. Will we see a special enhanced cd come out to celebrate? Remastered,with a DVD,ya know,all that stuff. Maybe a one day truce among all of the old band members to do some Hard Rock Cafe party. It is a monumental album,so it would be fitting to do something cool to celebrate it. Just thinkin'........ I wont hold my breath but that would be the epitome of kick ass. imsorry put together a live version of the new band performing the AFD songs not too long ago and I play that to death.. I wasn't thinking about the old band playing (although that WOULD be something) I was just picturing them hanging out with a bunch of fans and celebs,while AFD played overhead and with the extra stuff touted.
I understand that Axl has no such plan to play with them again (he doesn't need to) but he should still remember WHY he is where he is and that is because of that groundbreaking album.? - the album will be out - gn'r continue the cd tour taking in more u.s. dates, south america, asia/australia, and hopefully another european tour - 2 or 3 singles from the album - live dvd i think thats a pretty realistic list... but this is gn'r, so who knows right! Post by: A Private Eye on October 03, 2006, 01:03:17 PM If everything happens in a logical order from now on and CD does come out in the next couple of months the tour continues etc then by the end of 07 I would expect there would be rumblings of a possible release timeframe for the followup album. I don't think we'll see it in 07 but talk of an 08 release is a possibility.

More on topic, I would think that if the NA tour goes as well as Europe, they would continue to hit the rest of the world, especially if we have the album. Lots of bands on the Universal label have deluxe editions of cds come out on special anny's of the album (like the NIN - Downward Spiral deluxe edition, or the Rob Zombie Hellbilly Deluxe edition).
