Yesterday in my country ( Uruguay) , DEEP PURPLE play a brillant concert and Steve Morse in a brillant solo play a intro os sweet child of mine.......for a few minutes.....i guess listening a slash in the concert. I know is stupid....but is nice to saw a great guitar player .....play a GUNS N?ROSES SONG. He played some Who stuff when I saw them just after Entwistle died. I'm sure I've heard him to SCOM also, don't remember if it was at a show or on a bootleg. For a long time now it has been my opinion that a lot of those other technical players (Vai, Satch, Buckethead etc) cannot touch him when it comes to a combonation of songwriting, taste and technicality. I'm suprised he's not more well known in guitar circles seeing as how he was awarded best guitarist of the year in Guitar Player like 5 times in a row, he's one of few now uneligible for it to give others a chance ;D
