Tons of interesting events related too December 19th and Chinese Democracy Movements....more after the jump!!

Older Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Chen Guoxiang Dies as a Result of Persecution

The persecutors detained him twice in Wuyuan Forced Labour Camp in Bameng City. Because of suffering torture in the labour camp, Mr. Chen became emaciated, and developed excessive fluid accumulation around the heart, in the lungs and abdomen. He died on December 19th, 2005.

Practitioner Ms. Li Ruiying, in Her Fifities, Tortured to Death

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Ruiying, 54, lived in Dingxing County, Hebei Province. Because she steadfastly practised Falun Dafa, Ms. Li was tortured, brutally beaten, and shocked many times with electric batons. She was tied up for four whole days inside the Baoding City Forced Labour Camp, and later cuffed onto a bed for four days. In September 2004, she was bailed out on medical parole because she was dying, and she passed away on December 19th, 2005

Canada: Falun Dafa Practitioners in Ottawa Request Argentinean Police to Arrest the Assailants

On December 19th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Ottawa, the capital of Canada, presented a letter to Argentine Embassy, requesting to have a meeting with the Ambassador about the recent situation in which Argentine police did not carry out their duty to stop hired thugs from assaulting Falun Gong practitioners. Ruffians harassed practitioners and stole their banners and truth-clarification materials during their peaceful protest on the occasion of Luo Gan's visit.

By the way, your conversion has to do with one of the Kings who tinkered with the original Western calendar. This King was trying to correct the calendar so that certain stars would be aligned when the millenium came. So it only means is that December 19th 2006 is actually Jan 1 2007 if that dude hadn't changed things. Long story...
