I have caught myself saying it talking bout different things that I have been into, and discusisng with people...involving RE deals and poker. Basically I just think it's a cool statement, ya know. He was saying, I want to be as well prepared, as well organized, as good as I can be...not just fuckin wing it. It makes great sense and is a great way to say that all. He actually said it can't be shaq at the FT line but it's the sam difference

I reckon Axl would be a pretty intelligent guy.. Should make him do and iq test! He'd probably score highly!

I'm pretyy sure it was at the VMA interview...if not it was in a brief rolling stone interview

Exactly...you'd be amazed the people that end up graduating from college..no street smarts, just book smarts. Axl has both I think...which most people don't.....and I think he did take a IQ test before and scored around the 120s? (which is pretty freakin high)....seems like I remember reading it somewhere...could be wrong...(I have a feeling my ass wouldn't be scoring in the 120s on a IQ test) :)

120 is above average but not extremely high.

the average is around 100, to get invited into mensa you must have an iq of 131 and only 5% of the worlds population has that high iq, so 120 is in fact very high, but not extremely

i tried doing an iq test once............i got about 1/4 of the way through it and ended up with 13!!!? ?:no:?? (although i did only do 1/4 of the test)? ....though even though axl may have made some wrong desisions (and im sure not everyone will agree with me on that, but anyways)..he does seem like quite a smart person, i mean he wrote some of the best songs ive ever heard!!!it would surprise me if he had 120 iq? :yes:

sorry 120 is not that high i normally get 125+ on them tests and im am far from intelligent in fact some of the things i do really make me question my intelligence.

I do like that Axl quote but I thought Axl and Shaq were buds?? That's not a nice comment to make about a friend.  I mean they make music together and... Haha, kidding. The quote is funny and I'll try to remember to use that at least one time before I die.

As far as Axl taking an IQ test, I think he would score rather well actually. The last time I took a REAL IQ test and not an internet given one, I scored a 146. One of my best friends... I think she scored a 143.  I do confess however that she is probably more "book smart" than I am, although she does apply herself to her school work 100%.  I haven't really started applying myself at all yet (and I doubt I will in school) and I still get really decent grades. Point being that you don't have to be "book smart" to score well on an IQ test and Axl would probably score high. You also have to remember though that it's been a long ass time since he has probably even thought about those types of questions that would be on the test, if EVER.  If a person is a great critical thinker (and has enough common sense) and can think quickly, then they can score well on an IQ test. My last IQ test was timed and I'm not sure if they figure that time into a person's score or not??

I remember reading a Duff interview within the last few years and I think he said his IQ was around 88. But look at what he did with his life... he went to college and got his degree. That's awesome and I don't think he even graduated high school.

CheapJon, I can't believe you remembered Forrest Gump's IQ!!!!!  That's so great!!  Ironically enough, someone else had told me his IQ probably two weeks ago... weird.

who cares about IQs.  It is what you do with the smarts you have.  My uncle has a real high IQ and he is a professional jack off.

It is not ironic that you had a discussion about IQs 2 weeks ago, it is coincidence.

I don't know how anyone would know what Axl's IQ is and why anyone would care.
