Title: Deleted Post?
Post by: Booker Floyd on June 03, 2007, 03:33:24 PM
Im curious if there was a particular reason my post in the "June 2nd Update" thread was deleted.

Because as usual, a bunch of people who weren't at the shows are whining about which songs they played.

If that's all you have to say, then stay in the VR section.   :P

You once said this (on the subject of VR):

I also think they could be more entertaining if they mixed up their setlist a bit.  :hihi:

Was this an allusion to the GNR criticism?  I cant see the relevance of such a comparison in 2005, three years since GNR had last played.  Or was it an honest critique?

Was I one of those people?  In fact, I countered that criticism: people who havent seen the same setlist performed more than once shouldnt complain about it.  Could you explain whats wrong with that; what rule was broken and what made it worthy of deletion?

Resorting to name-calling, huh?

Yes, I saw the smiley (very funny and clever, by the way); its actually the reason I asked you to clarify.  If its a joke, whats the point?  GNR hadnt played in three years at that point, why would that criticism be relevant to VR?

You also avoided answering my questions:

No, but you're lame attempts at bringing in a different situation into this is just boring.  :-*

It was a joke on the unpredictable dangerous rock n' fucking roll band from Hollywood, Velvet Revolver.

We cleaned out the thread of all the posts whining about the setlist. It's been done to death last year.

Your post was one of them.

If youre saying that all posts on the issue, positive and negative, were deleted, then I understand.  But if youre implying that my post was one of the whining ones, then Id like you to explain.  Maybe you misunderstood it.  I disagreed with the people criticizing the setlist.  Your attempts to characterize that as whining are either completely misguided or just dishonest.

As I said, we cleaned out the thread and your post was among the ones that got pruned.

You can quote me on that.

You also said that I whined about the setlist.  Thats a lie.

No. Show me where I said that.

I said a bunch of people were whining and we removed a bunch of posts, including yours.

Go on quote me on the post where I mentioned you specifically.

Thanks.

We cleaned out the thread of all the posts whining about the setlist ...

Your post was one of them.

My post was one of what?

That whined about the setlist.

In your case, it was on that subject.

You can quote me on that too later.

You said you deleted posts whining about the setlist.  You then said that my post was one of them.  Therefore, you said that my post was whining about the setlist.  Then you said thats not what you said.

You could have easily said that you simply deleted all posts on the subject, even the ones that werent negative or critical, but you instead tried to characterize my deleted post as whining, even though you knew it wasnt.  Thats dishonest, but Ill just construe your refusal to be direct about it as your own special way of recognizing that it wasnt a whining/negative post.  The issues resolved on my end   .

I didn't know exactly what your post said word for word, I know it was on the subject with all the whiners.

It would make no sense to remove everything and only leave your post.

Because there's already a seperate thread discussing what you're trying to discuss?

By the transitive propery I gotta go with booker.

I was joking! He used the transitive property! I recognized it you dont have to think its funny. Its not my place to say anything. I really dont feel that way.

Why do you have a lurking suspicion that im a homosexual?
