Title: "Rocket Queen" outro and Led Zepp's "The Rover"
Post by: Smoking Guns on November 03, 2007, 01:05:14 PM
at about 48 seconds in to about 1.08 sounds just like rocket queen to me.  Am I the only one to ever notice this?

When? :hihi:

I seriously never got the whole Led Zeppelin/Aerosmith/GN'R connection, since they sound nothing alike apart from the same bluesy structure in some certain songs. (That same thing goes for Black Sabbath and Metallica)

As for Rocket Queen being a rip-off of "The Rover" by Led Zeppelin... It's most likely random.

maybe, Izzy might have been listening to that song, and came up with an idea for a slightly different chord progression that sounded cool, ya never know.

Well Led Zeppelin's originality itself is often a subject for debate so...

I think Zepplin quite happily admit that a lot of their ideas came from other sources. Like GN'R they had a knack of blending styles and yet having their own unique sound.

yep so I don't see the need to get defensive abut that.
