Its hard for me to type this with Slash's cock in my mouth  :rofl:, but I will try.  Since every VR fan and VR fans that like/love GNR apparantly worship Slash, we can talk about it here.  So there are certain people (posters) I expect not to lurk in this thread and ruin it by talking about somebody else.  These are to be PRO Slash comments with NO mention of anyone else.  Period.    : ok:

I will start.  I love Slash's guitar playing and attitude. 


Since he gets bashed in every other thread, this will be a positive thread for him.  Lets see how long this lasts.

Yep, Slash is and always will be the epitome of everything I love about rock guitar.

Although I'm not too fond of his latest offerings in VR, his work with GN'R is flawless as far as feel and style goes. Even the not so good songs shine thanks to his playing.

Slash influenced me to play guitar. hell i even drink JD as a sort of toast to him (oh an coz its the meanest drink in the world).sayin that, i never got into heroin  :hihi:

Metallex, I want Slash teamed up with great hard rock/ heavy metal vocalist that sings with a huge pair of balls but that can also sing.  He has the chops still to write his classic solos and leads, just give me some true hard rock one last time!

I don't know that I'd worship him, but he is a legend in rock n' roll!  Let's see how long this thread lasts!   

It seems to me that since he has gotten clean, he is learning that humility is an attribute that he should have strived to achieve many years before.

It is almost like in times past he just didn't give a damn; now, be it from fatherhood, or sobriety, it seems like he has a much more positive outlook on life.

Lynn, I don't "worship" him either, but since others say we do, I started a thread to only idolize him  and not talk about "you know who". 

Fuckincrazy, I want to see slash take his new positive outlook and melt people's faces with blistering solos.

He's was a major influence to my guitar playing, from his solos to his rhythm guitar work. Without his solos on Rocket Queen and Estranged, my life would be bitter. :)

I bet you became a Gn'R fan when Slash was still in the band, so you could show some respect, even if you have come to dislike him.
I'm not a V.R. fan but I respect Slash for his awesome work with Axl and his talent as a guitarist and  I'm posting in this thread  because this respect is sincere.

Slash has one of the most unique guitar tones ever.  One of the most recognizable.  That is difficult to achieve.  His tone is absolutely beautiful on songs like "Sweet Child O' Mine" to "November Rain" to "Estranged" to "Messages".  His sense of lyricism with his playing is impeccable.  His mean bluesy riffs are second to none with examples like "Welcome To The Jungle" to "Paradise City" to "Don't Damn Me" to "Set Me Free". 

He is one of the most complete rock guitarists ever, being able to handle the aggressive rockers to the emotive ballads.  In short, he is perhaps the best guitarist in the history of hard rock.

Thanks.  His phrasing flows beautifully like water down a calm stream on the ballads.  On the rockers he can create this nasty aggressive riff without ever slipping out of the groove and feel of the song.

Besides the fact that had I never seen what Slash looks like he would still be my favorite musician ever, the guy just has a fucking aura about him. The top hat, the smokes, he just personifies rock n roll more than anyone I've ever seen or probably will ever see. I could cite a million examples in my mind of stuff Slash has done in videos or on appearences that I have thought to myself, "If anyone else in the world did that they would look so lame". Take for example Synester Gates from Avenged Sevenfold. Great guitar player, but I laughed my ass off when he 'appeared' in that video and started soloing during the funeral. Slash coulda pulled it off.
