It Might Get Loud (2008)

Guys With Guitars, Trading Riffs and Metaphysical Musings (http://movies.nytimes.com/2009/08/14/movies/14loud.html)

"THE centerpiece of the music documentary ?It Might Get Loud? couldn?t be simpler. Three guitarists share a soundstage to converse about making music: the instruments, ideas, methods, ambitions, memories and inspirations."
Three Schools of Rock, One Shared Passion (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/09/movies/09jon.html)

"Instead of interviewing astronauts or molecular biologists, Guggenheim chose three world-class guitarists -- Jimmy Page, the Edge and Jack White -- who not only play some wonderful music together but ponder their place in the world as well."
Wanna be a rock star? Career advice from Jimmy Page, the Edge and Jack White  (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/the_big_picture/2009/08/guitar-talk-from-jimmy-page-the-edge-and-jack-white.html)

there's a GNR mention

Jack White:... But the kind of music I loved made me an outcast in Detroit. When I grew up there, in the '80s, it was a minefield. There was Prince and Guns 'N Roses -- and otherwise, just a lot of bad music. No one in my neighborhood liked Guns 'N Roses. All the white music had left Detroit and gone to the suburbs. If I would play guitar on my front porch, everyone would make fun of me. I guess I just took the hard road for no reason. I don't know why I didn't just get a turntable and a pair of Adidas like everybody else.
