It's a 12 hour drive so I may look into flights but I'm reasonably sure they're going to be outrageously priced.  :-\

For me and I am further away from Toronto if I book now is about $300.00 taxes in one way, or from Buffalo is about $195.00 taxes in (I live near Buffalo)

Kinda wanting to wait and see if they come a little closer than that. Then if not, I can always grab something off Stubhub couple weeks before. I've never flown before... and the idea scares the hell out of me! LOL

I figure I could leave after work on Friday.. Drive halfway, stay in a hotel.. get up Saturday morning, drive on into KC, get a hotel.. go to show, leave Sunday Morning bout 10am.. get home a bit after 7 or 7:30.. very doable

I'm not gonna be able to swing KC but I may consider flying elsewhere as the tour rolls on. Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Grand Rapids and Chicago are in within driving distance for me so I may not even have to fly if any of those cities get shows.

Jarmo, are you going again to all/most gigs of this tour (US & south-america)?

Although the Guns N? Roses publicity machine hasn?t issued a complete itinerary, three U.S. shows are now on the routing with two going on sale today ? Orlando, Fla., at the Amway Center Oct. 28 and Miami?s AmericanAirlines Arena Oct. 29. Tickets for Kansas City at the Sprint Center Nov. 12  go up Sept. 16.

The shows will occur after Guns N? This is a 9 1/2 hour drive for me! Comin From Tupelo, Ms! I'm so there! Question does anyone know if this is a general admission floor show? I'm so excited! This will be my third time seeing guns! Saw them last year in Canada ( London and Hamilton ) !

I know everyone is saying that jungle is the presale code but, do you go to tickmaster to get presale tickets when they go on sale?  I just bought plane tickets from San Antonio, TX to KC and want to make sure I get the best seats I can.

There should be other shows announced soon.

Hopefully there will be some blanket announcement soon, instead of these date by date shows.

Hope so! I mean it's very easy to conclude dates in my area will be added, just sucks though and makes me want to pull a trigger for shows elsewhere incase, you know?

Date by date announcements are fair early on, because the tour is in the state of being organised. It should not go on for too long though.

If there is too much of a gap, fans feel pressurised into paying out amounts they cannot afford to see distant shows.

Most GNR shows have been General Admission Floor - I don't remember the last time they were reserved seating on the floor...

Great Venue, was there in 2008 to see a monster trucks show :-)

This is an incredible venue!  I saw Tool there last summer, and sat in the first row of seating on the side of the stage and it was quite a show!  Chris Pitman is from Kansas City (to be perfectly accurate, a suburb on the Missouri side of the city), and went to the KC Art institute with Danny Carey the drummer of Tool (Pitman has worked with Tool, and was in a side project with Danny Carey which I think is named Zaum--they are close friends).  Danny Carey is from Paola KS, a small town Southwest of KC, which is now almost becoming a suburb as Kansas City grows and sprawls southwards.  This will be a homecoming show for Pitman, who is actually well known by many of the record shop owners and hipsters who grew up digging music and art in Kansas City.  For those going, directly across from the Sprint Center is the Power and Light District, where there are over 50 bars and restaurants all connected in a five block area (blocked off from cars and with a squared off open roof area where bands will be playing, along with college  football games) in the shadow of the downtown skyscrapers.  It is a great place for pre-show entertainment and drinks, with only a quick walk across the street to the show (50 feet).  I would highly recommend the American Jazz Museum to any jazz fans, as Kansas City was one of the founding cities of jazz during the roaring twenties (Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Lester Young, Miles Davis, etc) when gambling was legal in Kansas City, liquor flowed during Prohibition, and the city was run by the mob and Boss Tom Pendergast (mayor who was tied to organized crime).  Also the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, is one of the top art museums in the United States, and houses many famous Andy Warhol works, along with countless other highly valuable pieces.  For food--get a Kansas City Strip, or any prime cut of steak (filet's, etc.).  60 miles West of Kansas City is where much of the world's Kobe Steak beef is raised, and is home of the most valuable cattle ranches in the world due to the unique grasses which only grow in the Flint Hills.  There is plenty to do, and no doubt, the Power and Light District will be rocking on this night.  Make sure to make your way to Angel's Rock bar in the district, where the waitresses only dawn lingerie, and the music is loud and only hard rock is the music of choice.  I would stay at the downtown President's Hilton Hotel, or the downtown Marriot, or Westin Crown Center Hotel (South of downtown in the Crown Center district, next to Union Station).

Yeah, www.kayak.com is good too.  It compares prices from a bunch of different sites.  I hear Jet Blue is the way to go though if it's an option.  Never flown it myself though, as they don't fly everywhere.  Just flew to Alabama last week and the closest I could get with Jet Blue was Orlando, so that obviously didn't work out.  Priceline does great deals for airfare PLUS rental car, but THEY choose your flight times, so you're at their mercy.  I'd imagine the times wouldn't be ideal, ie. early morning/late night.

Oh yes, how could I forget for those travelling to Kansas City--KC is famous for it's barbecue food. Gates and Arthur Bryants often are tied on the Food Channel's list of the nations best barbecue joints.  Both have very unique sauces, and their ribs are out of this world!

I hate the Kansas City Chiefs, but man every year I go to Arrowhead Stadium to watch them play the Broncos and the tailgate parties and BBQ in the parking lot is the best damn food I've ever had in my life. You cant go to KC and not have some delicious BBQ
