Title: The Mic Toss
Post by: saltzy23 on November 13, 2012, 04:47:31 PM
I posted this on the thread dedicated to the Vegas residency, but think this deserves it's own thread.

My buddies and I flew out to Vegas this weekend and went to the Saturday night show.  I've been to like 10 GnR shows, all in the NYC area previously.  I'll give the band credit.  They really brought it.  3 plus hours.  Lot of intensity.  Sounded really good, although if I'm being totally honest Axl sounded better as the concert went on.  November Rain from the suspended piano 8' above my head was just ridiculous.

At the end of the show Axl tosses the mic into the crowd like he always does.  Every single show I have ever been to it has been my dream to grab it.  It lands like 10 feet away from my friend and I.  The guy standing next to us picks it up and my buddy immediatly says "I'll give you $100 for that right now."  Amazingly the guy says '"Sure". He gives it to us.  We have the fucking thing.  We are jubiliant.  We are extatic.  5 seconds later security walks over and orders us to give him the mic back.

I have seen Axl toss the mic at EVERY show I have been to, and I have never seen security ask for it back. Complete and utter bullshit.

Why throw the fucking thing into the crowd and cause a goddamn riot if you are just gonna ask for it back?  Forget about the thing breaking or getting stepped on.  The guy gave us our $100 back, but it ruined what would have been the single greatest concert experience of my life.

Here's the bottom line, at least from my perspective.  If Axl wants to come out at midnight and play until 3AM, that's fine by me.  That's how rock n' roll is supposed to be.  The hardcore sawdust and beer, late as fuck, rock music culture that I love and is one of the core reasons why I love Axl and GnR.  Basically maintaining that image is the only thing he apparently DOES give a fuck about.   It what Axl prides himself on.

You can't have it both ways though.  It's either balls to the wall rock n' roll, or it's corporate money making.  Throwing a mic into a crowd at 3AM, only to ask for it back is basically 180 degrees from what Axl and GnR stand for.

I understand Axl may not know they are confiscating the mic after he tosses it, but he should.  It's his image and good name they are fucking with when pull this shit with his biggest fans.

One last time.  Fuck you The Joint.

This is either one of 2 things...

1. The VENUE security were confused and thought that GNR have to get the mic back.

2. They wanted the mic for themselves, probably having noticed Axl throwing it at previous shows. (more than likely)

I nearly caught the mic in London 2010, but this little guy was down there first, he got it and he fuckin ran. I always thought, that he deserved it cause of how fast he was. a few months ago, I find myself in the same situation. This time I get it, and I fuckin' run. Don't wait around because things like this scenario will happen to you. You get it, you run like fuck. Simple as that.

After 1/2 the shows have been played I would assume that security would know the routine by now.

It was most likely #2, but my point is that if this has occurred a bunch of times at The Joint then Axl should know by now.  Honestly, I'm not gonna blame him though.  I just would hope someone on his team would tell him what they are doing and he would order them to knock it the fuck off already.

I'll say one thing for sure.  I'm never giving The Hard Rock another cent of mine again.  Fuck them.

...and yes.  If I am ever in that position again I am burying it in my boxers and making a bee line for the exit.

Last year in Omaha, my friend and I caught his mic and got the heck out of there with it. I've heard stories where security takes it away, so I wanted to make sure we kept it.

There is a clip of Axl telling security "let him keep it", so there has been some confusion with security..good thing these ignoramuses don't work security at MLB games..

Wait, for my show specifically or just some random concert in general?

Honestly, I'm just pissed cause it's a pretty fucked up thing to do in general.  It's my friend who is pretty much the biggest GnR fan on the planet who had the thing in his hand for like 30 seconds and looked like a 6 year old on Christmas Day only to have the thing ripped away from that I really feel bad for.

We have been talking about how sick it would be to catch the mic at a GnR show for literally almost 20 years.  Then, at fucking Saturday night Vegas show where we flew in to celebrate his brother-in-law's 21st birthday it actually happens, and some jerkoff takes it away from us.  I know everyone here has some sort of emotional attachment or childhood memories of the band, but for my friend and I they have been a shared interest since we met in college a long ass time ago.  He has been with at every GnR show I've ever been to.  Something like 10 or 12 of em.

This was 'our GnR moment' and it was taken from us.  It just fucking sucks.

Fuck you The Joint/Hard Rock.

Wasn't there a situation at, I want to say, the 2006 show in Vegas at the Joint where the same exact thing happened and it was clarified that it was NOT Axl or anyone in his team asking for the mic back, it was just a security guard being shady and taking it for himself?

Horrible to think that's happening again. Especially with the residency where you KNOW the security has probably been prepped about what happens during the show. I don't even know what they could do to stop that. For all we know Team GnR has always told security at all their venues to let the fans keep the mic, and security is still doing their own thing, because they know the fans are probably going to be intimidated and just hand the mic back if they are confronted about it. I don't know Team GnR but I can't see them being at all happy about their fans being harassed, screwed over, or essentially being railroaded by security that way.

Is it going to get to the point where Team GnR will have to put a sticker on the mic saying "this mic belongs to whoever catches it, security doesn't have the right to ask for it back, and if they do, report them?" Disgusting. And OP, I'm sorry for you and your friend. I never have a chance to get the mic or whistle because I just can't do GA but if I did, and security tried to take them back, I'd be just crushed.

Man...that does suck..and it would totally ruin my evening as well. As far as running over scenarios of what I could've done differently in that situation. I guess the only thing I would do is if security tried to physically grab it, I would hold it up in the air...back away and HOPE that Axl would see what was going on and tell security to back off....much like what may have happened in the mentioned video of him telling them "Let him keep it".

Yeah, refuse as much as you can, try to run if you have to. If they physically grab it from you, then make sure to get his name/info and complain to management right away!!!

When you guys are talking about "security" are you talking about real cops or those rent-a-fuck thugs with walkie-talkies and who have absolutely no arrest power and can't do shit, especially once a show is over?

I agree its a shitty thing to do, but you are wrong on the last point, they have loads of rights whiles on duty, they are employees acting on behalf of their employer.  Taking the mic(k) isn't one of them though....

Yeah, if it had been in an arena or stadium or something maybe we could have tried a way to escape with the thing.  When you are at a casino in Vegas?  Let's face it.  We weren't going anywhere with it when Security asked for it back.  I wasn't about to fuck around with casino security.  Plus, at the time it was all happening so fast.  Axl tosses it.  The guy right behind me catches it.  There are like 40 people scrambling around on the ground looking for a mic that isn't there.  I poke my friend and point to the guy behind us holding it, he offers him $100 within .03 seconds of seeing it.  The guy says "Sure".  We have it for maybe 10 seconds.  Security walks over and says "I have to ask for that back."  I mean, the all happened in like 30 seconds.  Plus, at this point we had been drinking and had just experienced a 3+ hour GnR Vegas show.

I guess if had a chance to do it again I would have just put my head down and ran out of the exit.

From what I remember he was just a black shirt, 'Security' ear piece wearing casinio lackie.

I guess on some level it makes me feel better that we aren't the only ones that got screwed, but it still really sucks.  Nabbing the mic at a Saturday night GnR show in Vegas is never gonna happen again.  It was surreal.  It was basically the nirvana of personal concert experiences for me and my friend, and some fat fuck security joker stole that from us so that he could get a blowjob from some roadie.  Sometimes I really just fucking hate people.

Well this is not nothing new unfortunately, ever since GN'R's return in 2006 I've been hearing stories of security taking back the mic all over the world. It simply comes down to them knowing how much it is worth, and them wanting it for themselves. And because they are working the show for peoples safety, they also think that they can use their power to take items such as the mic, which it don't... they NEVER have no right to do this, unless it comes from the band.

My advice to anyone who comes across this situation again is to just leg it, and if the police somehow do get involved, the security have not got a case as it's something they shouldn't be doing.  ::)

Just got back from the show. Sure enough, 2 of them hopped right over the rail to try find the mic. They told me they were told after every show to go get it. I said who told them that. They didn't answer. I asked for their names...no answer. Luckily tonight...they came up empty handed though. So I laughed at them. I personally think it's a bunch of shit. Maybe they were instructed to get it...but it wasn't the damn band or anyone with the band telling them too. Pisses me off though.

Sorry this happened to your friend, it wouldn't matter if he caught it or paid for it. He would be really crushed & you should report the matter to GNR management & maybe even tweet the band members if you do twitter. If I went to a show & caught the mic & someone who was as big a fan for so long as your friend I would just give it to them (after a photo of me with it  :D ) for nothing as I'm fairly new & know how much it would mean to them.
Not everyone is as mean spirited as the security workers - definitely put in a complaint. I doubt it is thrown into the audience for security to retrieve it

I actually got a call back from The Joint/Hard Rock Security.

According to the guy I spoke with security was instructed to recapture the mic after every show during this run and return it to the production team, i.e Team GnR.

I find that pretty hard to believe after so many people have been allowed to keep it before, and it is known that Axl wants a fan to have it at the end of every show, but that is what I am being told.   He actually told me I am far from being the 1st person that has called during the residency to complain about this shit.

I also told him that it is fucking RETARDED to let Axl Rose throw a mic into a bunch of drunken adults at 3AM for fucking NOTHING, and he pretty much agreed with me.

At least they had the decency to call me back and tell me their side of the situation.  Now I just need to confirm that's the case with the GnR team and I guess I will be able to let it go.

It seems like my story has got to a few people here and on the other GnR message board who are trying to help me out.  It's really appreciated.

I'm sure that 99.9% of the people they take the mic from don't care,  just let it go, or have no idea they were entitled to it.  I, I am that .01% that is going to do everything I can to get it the fuck back.

Will you then also pay back 100$ to the guy who actually catched it?  ;)

I'm sure Axl doesn't really know and care about this shit. (mic's that need to be returned to the security that is).

On the other hand I understand that this situation must suck big time for you! With a bit of luck, GN'R camp gets aware of this and you might be invited backstage (who knows!) to compensate and get one of the many mic's they have  :peace:

Absolutley.  I mean, if that was possible and all.

There are many, many people here that understand the psyche of one Axl Rose more than I do, but yeah, I kinda do think he would care.  First off, as much as the guy pretends to not give a shit about anyone I've seen and heard him tell people getting too rowdy at shows to knock it the fuck off a few times.  I've also read a few stories about him telling security to let the person that caught the mic to have it on here and the other GnR message board.  Plus, again, what the hell is the point of throwing what's basically the equivilant of a gold bar into a crowd of drunken adults at 3am (in Vegas no less), for no reason whatsoever.  Someone is gonna get their head split open for absolutley nothing.  Either stop tossing it into the crowd, or let the person that gets it keep it.  I'm not really even sure how that is debateable.

Probably some smart ass security guy who wanted to have the mic, so he can auction it on Ebay. I wouldn't have given him the mic, and i would have created confusion enough for Axl to see what was happening from the stage, if he was still on stage. I bet Axl would say something!

A poster on the other message board was able to get this reply from Bumblefoot regarding this, and other issues the band has been having with the venue:

"just sent a 5th or 6th letter to 'management' saying *again* that we need to talk to security about them mistreating the fans. I've been trying to make things better, from meet-n-greet scheduling to allowing signs & banners, been feeling like a union rep for fans, lol, but it's gotta be done. I didn't agree to have 9-year-old girls have their 'happy birthday' signs confiscated - see why I lose my shit?? lol All I can say is *I tried* and if fans continue to be mistreated it's not coming from Axl & the band.I am now 100% sure that no one in the band, nor it's management has ever instructed anyone at The Joint to recapture the mic at the end of the show."

I am about to place another, slighly less polite call to The Hard Rock right now, and basically every day going forward until they either A. Specifically state who the fuck gave this order or B. Give my friend the fucking mic back.

I've got nothing but time right now, and I am going to make this as unpleasant for them as humanly possible.

They screwed with the wrong guy, and at the ABSOLUTE worst possible time in his life to screw with him.

As someone that has seen security waaaaay to many times mistreating fans, mostly by snatching stuff thrown from the stage, I'm really, really impressed about what you're doing.  It's probably the best time to complain (considering the fact that the band is going to play a few more times at the Joint in the next days) and I seriously hope some of these so-called "security' get to lose their jobs for this type of behavior.

Someone who is going to the remaining gigs of the Residency should try to film the security taking the mic, it would be the ultimate proof for the hard Rock management.

Also, has anyone seen what happens to guitar picks thrown by DJ/Richard/Bumble that fall into the photo pit? Do the security guys snatch those too or do they hand them to the rightful owners, the Front-Row FANS? 'cause keeping them is just the same as taking the mic back, although at a smaller scale...

Thank you man.  From my experience, in this world people are gonna take from you whatever you let them take.  I may get this mic back, I may not, but at least I am making myself heard and getting the word out so that hopefully no one else gets screwed.  That alone gives me satisfaction.

Again, this was a shared dream my buddy and I have had since 1996 when we met in college.  Now that I know the band had nothing to do with this and it was unjustifibly taken away from us I may not get it back, but I assure you it won't be without a fight.

I just left another VM, but this time with the Head of Security for all of The Hard Rock, Edwin Gatlin, stating that I have now been provided proof by an ACTUAL MEMBER OF THE BAND that said they never agreed to or stipulated this policy, and that he is not pleased with the way their fans have been treated at their shows there in general.

Fuck you Hard Rock.

See, this is why I love the internet.

So, just so everyone knows the Hard Rock is telling anyone that calls up and asks why they are reclaiming the mic that the band's management had requested they do so.  In other words, lying.  Lying to save a few thousand bucks over the course of a few months.  For a casino in Las Vegas.  That is absolutley spectacular.

What a cheap fucking thing to do to save a few bucks.

I'll never give that place another cent of mine.

Saltzy you may not get the actual mic that was thrown the night you were there but with this fight you're putting up it's possible you could get a replacement one. Would that not be the same or would you be just as happy with that?

This could actually be true. Some local laws could state that you can not do that. The reason being something along to the lines of causing havoc.

How does it go? If Axl is told not to throw the mic it's kind of hard to understand why he does it. I'm no lawyer or couldn't care less about the rules as such but if they are in place then they might be forced.

May be so, but in this case it seems that them trying to get it back is causing more havoc than if they just let it go.

I donno if anyone does get a hold of a mic just put it down pants and walk out fast :)

As for the rules here and who says what I am unsure about it.  The mic he throws at the end is a "dummy" mic not the one he uses during the entire show

Wow, what a nice gesture from Ron in trying to at least shed some light on this issue and get it resolved. Well there you have it, Axl and the band are not instructing anyone to take back the mic, so if you do get it, refuse to give it back.

The mic he throws at the end is a "dummy" mic not the one he uses during the entire show

Is that so? Some little source would be useful. Not saying that it's not true. Could be true but those mics aren't that expensive compared to the whole cost of the show.

Axl sings paradise city, during the confetti and solo he runs out, changes the mic to the one he throws away. It's a slightly different model however, with the transmitter it's worth ?400, according to google anyway. I wouldn't say it's a dummy because he does sing out of it for a few lines and the whole 'Good fn night' message, but no, it's not the same mic as through the show. No idea why he changes it to be honest.

At this point, sans continuing to call that Head of Security until he tells me who instructed them to recollect the mic until I am tired of doing so or he calls me back, and maybe sending an email to AEG or something, I would say I have done everything I can possibly do.

If I get it back that would be insanly ridiculous, and if I don't at least I know I did everything I could.

As for the rules here and who says what I am unsure about it.  The mic he throws at the end is a "dummy" mic not the one he uses during the entire show

It's a working mic. Although minus a transmitter and battery pack. It also doesn't have the tape wrapped around it that Axl used for grip. Mine still powers up actually. Been wondering if I were to bring it to a show if I could find the right channel and sing along, hahaha.

I hope they're not doing it for the sake of just having the mics standing there on the expo of the casino.

I was there in 2007 and i really liked the Hotel, obviously i went to the Hard Rock because i was a tourist and didn't do much research on hotels. It was like all of a sudden the day before i buy everything on expedia, next day im traveling at 10 am lol it was very spontaneous. Picked the Hard Rock because i like the food in their restaurants and the whole theme of Rock N'Roll.
If i knew what i know today i would have probably opted for MGM Grand or The Mirage, but anyways i loved being there. But the mic thing... that's outrageous!

I don't get why he has to email management, unless i'm totally clueless to how it all works. Can't he just say what he needs to say at a show "hey fernando/beta, whats the deal with banner being taken away from kids/stealing mics"?? Are they not living in the next hotel room or something?  :nervous:

The band play, management manage...... Who does the venue speak to? I'd say management.  Any issues would be dealt with by management and that's also if the venue had issues with band.  Timing isn't an issue, GnR haven't had the this done to them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVkWkNgvvu0 or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXCkESvC7_k&feature=related So any issues by venue would require them to work out with management to ask Axl to stop throwing the mic.  BBF has said that the band haven't requested this, so either the venue steps up and says we instructed security or the security are being cunts and looking for a trinket to sell on Ebay.

I honestly am overcome with emotion.  Amazingly, I was in the car with the friend who's mic this is when I got the call.  I was on the phone with my dad, who is also currently in the hospital after having, and on my life I am not making this up, his 7th heart attack, and was able to hear the voicemail at the same time as my friend.

We both completely lost it.  I can't believe it. Amazing!

I think it's the first time security is forced to act normally after bullying the fans and I'm really impressed that so many people (saltzy, Jarmo, Ron and who knows how many people from the GN'R camp) had a part in straightening out a situation that was really unfair and shameful for an otherwise Great residency.

I tried to catch it in Nashville last year... I watched the end of a lot of shows to try and figure out which side and how far back to be when he threw it.  Most of the shows I saw he throws it way back so I moved to the very back of everyone on the floor during Paradise City... When they finished Axl's like, "GOOD FUCKING NIGHT" and then he barely tosses it towards the front... fucking UNDERHANDED if I remember correctly... Fuck My Luck

It is exactly what you described "our GnR moment" and to have it taking away is terriable!Glad the power of the internet and good people and band member came together and helped you out!  now your story is even better to tell  :smoking:

I leave for Vegas on Friday morning and have floor tix for both nights and im hoping the good Karma can help me out as well!! the chances if catching a whistle/mic again are pretty slim but hopefully something majical will happen!  cheers man glad you got mic back!!

Yeah, I saw that when you originally posted it.  That really sucks dude.  If only from the invasion of privacy standpoint.  I feel for ya.

Honestly, I am pretty amazed how few GnR concert used items are even out there for purchase, or have sold or been auctioned off in the past.

Obvioulsy I have no intentions of ever selling the mic when I get it, but the capitalist in me got the better of me these last few days, and I have scoured the internet looking to see how much others have sold for.  I literally have yet to find a single one either for sale, or that has EVER sold.

Basically, it seems like anyone that has ever got one has no intentions of ever selling it.

It sucks for you being that you had your whistle stolen, but just being honest, I kinda love the fact that I am getting something that you literally cannot buy anywhere, even if you have the cash to burn.

I don't care if I was homeless, my mic will never leave my possession. I have seen a couple pop up on ebay and such in the past, but I don't remember how much they went for. It would be kinda hard to prove it was Axl's anyways, anyone can buy that model mic and red cover thingy. Someone at work have me this cool stand thing for it, I'll post a pic when I get home.

Ha.  Again, just so that no one thinks I did this to make a quick buck or something, I have precisely NO interest in selling it or anything like that.  If anything this whole fiasco is going to wind up costing me money as I plan on giving it the ol' deluxe framing job before I give it to my friend.  I have told him he will be permitted one visititation to 'play Axl' if he would like before it is put behind glass forever to never be touched again.

I think I mentioned it already, but the plan is to get a 5x7 of this pic which is from like 30 seconds before he tossed the mic at last Saturday's show when we got it, and 'put it on the left'

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo185/saltzy23/GnR%20Mic%20Pics/55041352764212985309.jpg (http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo185/saltzy23/GnR%20Mic%20Pics/55041352764212985309.jpg)

Then, find the best shot I can find of Axl singing with a/the mic at these Hard Rock residency shows.  'Put it on the right'.

Then put the mic in the middle with the ticket stub from the show underneath it.

Black frame, black shadow box.

Give it to my buddy.

Done.

I think it's gonna look sick when it's all done.

All you guys talking about your mic's and what your going to do with them, how your going to get them signed. How your going to mount them. What your going to do with them.
LUCKY BASTARDS!
When I went on Nov 9, Friday night I knew it was going to be hard to get the mic but I tried. I stood right up in the balcony and waited but I guess Axl hasn't been hitting the gym cause it never got close. Why I ask, it was only a 100 feet down and 100 feet away. I knew I should have brought the large net with the extending arm but security was tight and I wanted to make sure my 13 year old son had the time of his life and he did. That's one of the reasons I bought tickets in the balcony, so he could see the show without having to struggle or get slammed by some crazy guy or have some girl spill beer on him (that happened at Motley Crue to him). The only thing that sucked up there is everybody just wanted to sit and watch, half the time people stood up and then sit down, lame shit! But he loved it and now he wants a hat just like DJ and his ipod is filled with every song from "Live like a suicide" to Chinese Democracy and everything in between.

I'm happy that you, saltzy23 are going to get your mic and axlrosegnr, well your at every damn show you bastard and you got your mic signed, your just living the dream a lot of us wish the could. And cotis, I hope you get your mic signed!

much love and

2 weeks after being told it was on its way back to me, and no mic yet.

Combine that with the fact that the band has to be getting on a plane to India any day now, and that the residency has been over for a week and I am seriously starting to wonder if anyone ever actually dropped the thing in the mail for me.

I'm trying to not be a dick or anything, but getting it at the show, having it unjustifibly confiscated, to then be told I would get it back, only to then never have it sent to me would be pretty fucking cruel.  Certainly after my friend and I were so excited after hearing it was being sent back to us and I actually started planning how I was gonna display it.

I tried getting contacting the woman at the Hard Rock that left me the voicemail, but other than a simple reply email saying she was looking into it, and that she was sorry for the delay, she has no information for me.

I honestly hope I am wrong, but unless I am missing something I am running out of days for it to possibly get here, assuming it was/is being sent from Vegas.

Holy Mary Mother of God.

I take back every fucking word that may have even been misconstrued as talking shit about this band, the Hard Rock, anyone here, or anyone else.

I just got the mic.

I honestly am finding it hard to type now.

The mic is signed in silver paint pen....BY THE ENTIRE FUCKING BAND!!!

I haven't even had a cahnce to get a hold of my friend yet, but he will know when he checks his voicemail.

This is so fucking amazing.  I am speechless, which if you knew me, you'd realze is quite a rare event.  My dad, who is stuck in a house with a wife deterioting in front of him, and who wouldn't know Axl if he delivered him a pizza was blown away and had a solid laugh over it.

Thank you GnR, and whoever else made this happen.

Jarmo, thanks man.

Pics to come.

No, he is actually right.  I posted the pics on mygnr.com, and at least from what I being told the signatures are:

-Bumblefoot
-DJ Ashba
-Tommy Stinson
-Dizzy Reed
-and Beta

Maybe someone here can confrim?  Maybe tell me what show it was from, or really just finding anything about at ALL would be absolutley amazing.

Either way, I'm like a pig in shit today.  Just so fucking badass.  Amazing.

I know for a fact that 4/5 are:

-Bumblefoot
-DJ Ashba
-Richard Fortus
-Tommy Stinson

I just am 100% not sure who the 'X' looking one next to Stinson is yet.

I'm thinking it HAS to be Axl, but it doesn't really look like any Axl autographs I've ever seen before.

What a nice bunch of guys, many "stars" probably wouldn't bother but this band & management go out of their way to please their fans.
So not only did you get a microphone but one better - autographs as well. Really chuffed for you and your friend, they will be so excited.

So stoked for you Brother!

maybe the B signature is Bumblefoot but I don't know. Now your mission should be to get the rest of the band to sign it and why not throw in past members to, maybe even the OG line-up if you dare? Whatever you want, just enjoy!

The mic is also signed by the following:
DJ, Tommy, Fortus, Bumblefoot,

I'm pretty sure it's Izzy's at this point.  I'm hoping someone in the know can tell me conclusively at some point when they have a chance.

That mic display is really nice.

Outside of a few small details I pretty much have mine all planned out.

My buddy is chomping at the bit for the official transfership of ownership.

Me, not so much... :(

It's going where it's supposed to be though.

Well, it took almost 6 months from the night my buddy and I caught the thing to get it all done up the way I wanted, but here, FINALLY, is the completed piece.

I am gonna be giving it to my friend tommorrow.

That looks KILLER man!! If you don't mind me asking, what did the frame and everything cost? Was it a custom thing or did you do it yourself?

I brought everything to this guy I have used in the past for these kind of things.

All in, everything you are looking at cost me around $700, which at least to me, is well worth it.

The framing was $575, mostly because that lucite was custom made, and took like 2 months to get finally get in.  It is the fucking Rolls Royce of lucite.

The rest of the cost was getting it PSA authenticated ($100 )in addition to the photos, and the room key, and Vegas magazine which I bought off eBay...

If you reread the thread, maybe you might get it.

For one, I wouldn't have even been there if he didn't pay for my flight and hotel.  He has also laid out countless thousands in drinks and whatever since I have known him.

I am big believer in karma.

Since I decided to do this many, many positives have happened to me in my life.

I'm not really sure how I can express it, but I just know that it is meant to be with him.

Hope you remain friends for life.
