Title: Slash recording this weekend?
Post by: allwaystired on April 25, 2019, 12:10:15 PM
A Facebook post from an amp company (now removed) suggested that they were repairing Slash's amp ahead of him recording at Axl's studio this weekend.....

I'm petty sure we can be excited about this rumour this time........

This would be seriously wicked. Maybe a new GNR track was requested for this fall's new Terminator flick? Or it could be the start of something larger.

I've seen it too...apparently, Caram Costanzo dropped off an amp that will be serviced so that Slash can use it at Axl's studio in his Malibu home this weekend...

Makes Slash's recent comments seem very strange regarding new music!

Hard to say. He could have just been intentionally vague in those interviews.  At any rate, his tour picks up on May 3rd in Mexico so, if anything, this is likely for a single hopefully released in time to hear them play it live during the next short little tour leg before they get serious about a proper album.

Another Terminator flick coming out :hihi:

YCBM was the first single I ever bought on CD (bought it on cassette as well) but I'm not sure if we need another of those or if we need to create a song for that.

Very interesting rumours, why was the post posted and then removed.

Or this was just as unexpected to Slash as it was to us!

I wouldn't expect that, frankly. Just because he's recording for a short time doesn't mean it's going to be something small that gets released quickly and independently. It could be a track for the full album that they're just fleshing out the basics of in the short time they have now.

In for one day... one song seems likely.

The Terminator speculation is interesting, as the movie comes out in November (I think?) and they're playing shows in Sep/Oct. Maybe they're filming the band playing the song for a music video. Makes sense to do that at festivals to guarantee huge crowds, plus less logistics than setting up stand-alone shows.

Another Arnie appearance?

This!

Yeah, November 1st!... and the anouncment form Arnie was the same day GNR notice the Louder than Life festival.

This would be great for both!!
