Title: Here Today Gone to Hell #1
Post by: Axl4Prez2004 on February 22, 2007, 05:24:41 PM
I'm glad I decided to be a little late into work this morning.  The local radio station was giving some Guns N' Roses news...WZBH The Beach based out of Salisbury, Maryland, USA.  Anyway, the cool part was when the guy said he found the #1 unofficial Guns N Roses fan site on the internet...Here Today Gone to Hell.com, and yeah, the other guy had a laugh at the title.  Overall, after giving news blurbs on Metallica and Tool, they reviewed alot of the latest news with the band and to be honest, I can almost guarantee they were reading the news right off of our site!!!  :hihi:

  to Jarmo!

They sounded guardedly optimistic for what's in store with GNR, and it was just nice to hear HTGTH getting a mention on the airwaves.

I have to agree with you D.    Cheers to the Here Today faithful.  The most insightful posters, hottest chicks, and most diehard of GNR fans reside here at heretodaygonetohell.com

To think Axl and the boys are finishing up Chinese Democracy as we speak sends chills down my spine in a good way.   Buying Greatest Hits made me feel good...buying Chinese Democracy will be plain surreal!

Yes this is a great site!

However I don't know if I'd say it's the # 1 GN'R site just because of the Censorship issue.
I know sometimes things need to be censored (like having links to unreleased songs) but things like Merc's open letter shouldn't be censored as there are always 2 sides to every story.
The internet is about freedom of speech not censorship - especially when you are censoring factual information. (Censoring BS is different)

Now go ahead and flame me.

well,2002 i started to use internet, and on google i search "gunsnroses",first of 3 sites were mygnr.com,newgnr.com and htgth, after that i liked newgnr and htgth,i never have liked mygnr.com because there were lot of trash on topics.
After time heretodaygonetohell became my favorite gnr site, and for me it was apsolutely the best gnr site

better than official

It's a great site for all of us who like the new band. If you like the old band, or both like me, you've got to put up with a lot of shit. Don't get me wrong, love this site, but having your own thoughts or opinions is often impossible.

I think you're not right, about last sentences of your topic.
First you can speak about everything here, but you can not make anarchy here.
Also this site have a credibility ,and he is very close to official site

I don't want to "make anarchy" and I respect Jarmo. Like I said, it's a great site. And I don't like to be negative about Axl and his band 'cause they're fuckin' awesome.
That htgth has some connections to the new band is great but let's not pretend that this site is totally independent and that we're all free to make an objective statement. I'm waiting for some "Here Today... Gone To Hell Democracy"!

Good to see that censorship is still going strong here, even when you're trying to help out the band by getting the biggest rock station in Canada to change their policy on playing OFFICIAL GN'R songs.

I posted this Twice as a New Topic and both times it was almost instantly deleted.

Hi all. I live in Toronto which is the biggest city in Canada and the 5th biggest city in North America. The biggest New Rock Station in Toronto 102.1 The Edge ( www.edge.ca ) is debating whether or not they should play New GN'R. I've been trying for years to get this station to play GN'R but to no avail. They usually play more alternative rock but they played Velvet Revolver and have often played old & new Metallica. If we could get them to play new GN'R it could really help GN'R gain some momentum.

This is the article that they have up on their website now:

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
SHOULD WE PLAY GUNS AND ROSES ON THE EDGE?

A new Guns N' Roses song called "Better," described as the first single from the band's long-delayed Chinese Democracy album, briefly surfaced online earlier this week at various web sites. The sites were asked almost immediately by representatives for the group to take it down, although one site, called Hype Machine, was still hosting the song yesterday (Wednesday, February 21st). The voice on the tune is unmistakably that of singer W. Axl Rose, while the music features a heavy dose of electronics and a more pop feel than previous Guns N' Roses tracks.

? A first single from the album has never been officially announced.
? It's less than two weeks until March 6th, when Rose tentatively promised that Chinese Democracy would be released.
? Guns N' Roses will begin a world tour in late April with its first-ever concerts in South Africa.
? It's been 13 years in the making...should we play tunes from this album?

Please help us out, would like like to hear old and new tunes from Guns and Roses or is this a classic rock thing?

Talk to me!

Please take the time to let them know what you think by clicking here:

And here:

I completely agree, Dav.

Especially since it was probably the GNR camp that leaked "Better".

BTW: In case I wasn't clear this radio station is asking If They Should Play New GN'R once it is officially released. They're not asking about the leaks. That's why the second time I posted it I put In Bold that they were asking about playing Official New GN'R ONCE IT COMES OUT...

Live performances were performed by the band in front of audiences in public with the intent of getting the songs performed heard by the public.

A leak wasn't intended to be heard by the public.

So you'd say we should allow people to download the studio albums as well, as long as they played the songs live?
