Does anyone have a copy of this?  I have found summaries of it, but not an exact copy.

This is an old transcription I made from the piece that was on MTV News back in 96:

LIVE!!! from "Burning Hills", California...

Due to overwhelming enthusiasm and that DIVE IN AND FIND THE MONKEY attitude..

#1. There will NOT be a Guns N' Roses tour.

#2. There will NOT be an official Guns N' Roses web site.

#3. There will NOT be any NEW Guns N' Roses videos.

#4. There will NOT be any new Guns N' Roses involved merchandise.

#5. There will NOT be a Guns N' Roses FAN CLUB.

#6. There will be a new Guns N' Roses 12 song minimum Recording with
three original "B" sides.

NOTE: If all goes well this will be immediately repeated.

#7. Moreover - Slash will not be involved in any new Guns N' Roses endeavors,
as he has not been musically involved with Guns N' Roses, since April 1994
with the exception of a BRIEF feel period with Zakk Wylde and a 2 week trial (? - not sure about the word there)
period with Guns N' Roses in the fall of 95. He (Slash) has been OFFICIALLY
and LEGALLY outside of the Guns N' Roses Partnreship since December 31, 1995.

Nothing here is Subject To Change.
Without A PERMANENT SUSPENSION of the "Pseudo Studio Musician Work Ethic".

Sincerely

W. Axl Rose

Isn't there a few things missing here? I thought Duff's name was originally at the bottom of the fax Michael "Duff" Mckagan, and I thought there was a mention or a shot at Matt and Duff somewhere in the fax-I could totally be wrong on all this-I think it was around the time of Neurotic Outsiders, which Axl may have been referring to

Re-reading this after many years makes it seem even crazier.  It reads like a message from Ted Kacinski, the UniBomber.  It's tone is hysterical ranting.

I could have sworn  the fax had a very clear "There will be a new GNR album out there before end of the year" - type of a statement there. I remember coming acros the news report about the fax year after it's release and going "amg its 97 now  there has to be new gnr album coming out any second now, woho!" Naivety of a pre-teen right there ;)

It's been 10 years though.Cant say I'd trust my memory too much...
Too bad MTV doesnt seem to have the fax/news article about it stored.
...why do lame shit like store and organize over decade old news reports when you can show reairs of some quality reality-tv show instead.

I think you are taking it too seriously.  It is and always was a joke.
