22-Oct-08Bumble in studio Friday/ET on KDKB Thursday AM, Chiller this weekend.

10/22/08: Tons of reaction rolling in on the new Guns song. I'm just happy it's finally out! Now people can hear this as it was intended and make their own decisions on the current version of the band and this CD which has been so anticipated. Nice that this is finally real and no more speculation and questions about when it's coming out! To celebrate the release of the song current Guns guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thall will hang out on my Q104.3 show this coming Friday night. Bumble will sit in the entire show and co-host with me. He can be heard on Chinese Democracy. By the way, I'm told the solo on this song is by former Guns guitarist Buckethhead, who is still featured on a few tracks on the CD. Of course we will play the G&R track, get some calls from you guys, and who knows what else? Listen live on Q104.3 NYC or online at www.q1043.com.

Bumble, Ace Frehley, Lita Ford and yours truly will be among the special guests at this years Chiller Expo this weekend at The Hilton in Parsippany NJ. This event is pretty amazing. I went there for the first time this past April and it is some scene. All sorts of actors, musicians and TV personalities are hanging out and selling stuff. Again, to be clear, there is a charge to get in to the event, and every person there charges for signed items, pictures, autographs, etc. It is that kind of event and the people that do it pretty much do it for one reason, to make some money! That is as honest as I can be. So if your coming know that going in. Everyone makes their own prices and rules. It is a fun day even if your just looking to hang out. I'll be there a couple hours Friday from around 6-8PM, and Saturday from around 1PM until the end around 7PM. Hope to meet many of you this weekend at Chiller!

Shit can t heard the radio out side USA.

What we need is someone in the US with Windows to install Windows Media Encoder and re-stream it.   It's not difficult, but probably beyond many here.  And they would need to have a decent amount of upstream bandwidth.

It's kind of like Bumblefoot is afraid to take any kind of feedback and he is freaking out. Eddie is saying it sounds great and is a great intro to the recored (chrunchy, heavy -- loves it!!!)

I thought most of the callers did not stay on track with their thoughts on Chinese Democracy. Eddie Truck made a good analogy
 with the KISS story. It seemed like Bumblefoot  felt  uncomfortable.

Some asshole did mention that he hated the new song and his friend's band was better. They both blew him off like they should have. Ron did make a small comment about "Robin should open with that band" if the  opened for GNR. That didn't leave me feeling to good about Robin still being in the band. Ron came back and did say he was just joking and that he loved Robin.

Ron doesn't want to answer major questions about the drummer and current band because he doesn't feel it's his place to announce stuff, and that's pretty cool. He's a good guy.

How comfertable do you think Ron is in his shoes right now if he is not comfertable responding to band questions. I hope it's just a temporary discomfort and itwill ease as time goes on. Thats kinda what I am saying.....If your in a tight band your comfertable answering questions about the band. I agree on personal matters or legal things he should not respond but band questions based on released material or public knowledge is not out of the question. I mean this is GN'R not some small time band. It kinda comes with the territory. Axl has never ha a problem talking about anything within his band along these lines to anyone who was lucky enough to get an interview with him, as rare as that is. Thus it should be the same with anyone in GNR.

P.S it's quite ignorant to asume you have any more knowledge about this band or are more of a fan of this band than anyone else, based on an opinion. I am more than entitled to it. Would GNR be GNR if everyone didnt have a different opinion????????

overall i thought the interview was horrible. eddie should have pre-interviewed him before the show started, i mean they drove in together and  couldnt come up w/ a gameplan for the eve. the first 10 minutes of that interview  was painful to hear and when the calls started it became laughable

None the less it's not meant to be an argment, all I was saying was that if your going to do an interview with fan interaction it should be expected to recieve awkward questions and I think over time he will get Better at answering them. Almost all band members that expose themselves as Ron does(and it's much appreciated) do learn to deal with us as we all do think differntely and therefore ask questions that may only matter to our thought process.

Bumble did seem a little out of sorts...

He sounded pretty high...i don't know.

He didn't know anything, he didn't know who collaborate in Chinese Democracy, who produced it, who's the drummer.

Ron is a good dude but the only thing that kept getting annoying was everything was I don't know.  Even when Eddie was like whens the album coming out, he was like I don't know, then later said the website had a count down.  I'm completely understand if he can't talk about things thats fine, but don't come across as completely out of it. 

That is not like him at all. I didnt hear the interview, but Ron is normally very cool and has an answer for most things and is real easy to have chat with.

People calm down, he did a interview with a a guy who likes controversy , and was being himself , sarcastic and being funny. HE was honest and isn't the one to divulge the plans or intentions. Get over it!

He also probably feels like he's suddenly under a microscope right now.  Seriously, the attention these guys will be getting will be a MAJOR  adjustment for all of them.  I'm sure it will take some time for the "new guys" to get used to the attention.

I dont want him to divulge anything that he cant or wants.. I repeat I DONT WANT HIM TO DIVULGE ANYTHING!!!!  But why come on a show and act the way he did? I like Bumble, this is not a bash fest. If he cant comment on anything why be in the studio or why not just talk about his own music. As a listener IMO the interview was ridiculous.

To be fair, the fact that he was being interviewed the week the release of CD was announced and the first single hit the airwaves essentially eliminated any chance of talking about anything *but* GNR.  It wasn't necessarily good timing in that respect if there wasn't much Ron was willing to say on the matter.

see why Eddie Trunk would get annoyed. The whole thing about the Bangles Eternal Flame was ridiculous. If I wanted to know  who wrote
the song, I would  Google it. I wanted to hear about Chinese Democracy. With that being said, I think eddie Trunk was correct that this song is very good and punchy.  

I can listened that Ron is not so commited with the band I think.

You can't say "Uffff...like 15" when you've been asked about how much persons worked on Chinese Democracy.

Or "I think that Frank is on the drums".

Trunk is a great guy, has a great show, and is great for Hard Rock/Metal.  He is huge.  He is very professional and sincere.  You can tell he was getting frustrated with bumble being a candy ass in the begining.  All Trunk wanted to do was talk about the song.  Bumble did sound high or out of it.  Also, seems REALLY out of loop.  This could be intentional I guess, but doesn't seem like anyone that helped with the album.  He did have some funny moments, like when he suggested playing a leaked version of CD with the final version that he is on so you can hear the differences. 

Now, the callers were total tools.  Terrible.

There was 2 people in the chat with the exact same nick, BumbleFuck. The real bumble left the chat and was on the air again when the other BumbleFuck said there was a VH1 show. Now I'm not saying there isn't a VH1 show, but the real bumble was on the air when it was said in the chat room.

There was 2 people there with the name BumbleFuck, along with BumbleFuck_, BumbleFuck- etc. I was in the chat room before he join and I was there until long after he left. He never said it in the public chat room.

I kinda figured this would be the case , as well.

Hopefully one of these gets released shortly before the album is out there, to pump up the buzz a little more as well.

Would love to see Axl come on Trunk to discuss Chinese Democracy since Bumblefoot seemed a little cloudy on the album's progression and final mix.

In the chat room there were several people with names like BumbleFuck_, BumbleFuck-, etc etc. The real Ron was just BumbleFuck.

Someone came into the chatroom with the name "BumbIeFuck" - switching the "L" with a capital "I." And it looked exactly the same as Ron's real username on the chat because of the font that was used on there.

What you guys saw about any VH1 show's and DVDs and all that was probably just bullshit. If he (the actual Ron) wasn't telling us about who was drumming, or who was currently in the band or not - then why would he spill the beans about that stuff? He said himself it wasn't his place to announce anything, and when the time was right the band would.
