Thought it was best to start a new thread for tommorows gig, as fans may wish to discuss different meet-ups, travel arrangements and other elements of the show.

It's the millenium dome. Arena is only a part of what is inside, theres Cinemas, restaurants, exhibitions etc.

Not Sure on the Spikes

Dj ASHBA? The Concert here in London at the O2 was insane, the crowd was so intense!!! Looking forward to round 2 tonight!!!! Make some noise if your going tonight!!!! Hope to see ya there!!

Structure and it's part of the design to make it look good.

I wouldn't read too much into those tweets.  They seem pretty much standard to what they normally do on nights of a show.  IF Duff is there, maybe something cool will happen.  We'll just have to wait and see.

Title: Re: October 14, 2010 London, England (Discussion)

Theyre not standard because theyre mid-show.

Why hype something mid-show when its already on?

Loving that Duff/Axl have made their peace.

Personally, I think they made their peace a long time ago. Can't remember Axl saying anything bad about him in the recent years.

He even suggested a couple of years ago that Duff could play on something with them.

The time has obviously come!  :)

But I was extremely happy to see Izzy on stage with Guns in 2006, and I'm extremely happy to know that Duff is there now with Guns too.  :peace:

It's just so nice to see that there's not that much war going on among the old members and that's a good thing, though I really love the new line-up.

Dunno. Axl specifically said in the chats back in 2008 that he'd be open to something at Duff, so I don't see this as shocking. Surprising, yes, but both Axl and Duff know the game and know how to keep quiet, they've both been very respectful of each other, who knows they probably shot a few e-mails back and forth a while ago or something.

Just because we don't know about it...

Anyway cool, this is going to garner a TON of press for the band and this has been one awesome year for Guns so they deserve some good press.

Guessing this could be duffs only appearance seeing as he is getting involved in so much

Don't say that!!

Would be great to see him play a few more shows. Inclined to agree though.

No reunion, just friends getting together.  This is FUCKING AWESOMEEEEE!!!!!!!

Out of all of the original members, I still hold respect for both Duff and Izzy.  I saw Izzy at Hammerstein, and I nearly pissed myself when he came out.  I can just imagine how the fans at the show felt for Duff!!!

VIDS AND PICS!!!  NNOOOWWWWWWWW!!!

And I was standing right next too you!!! Hugs LittleFly!!

Just got back from the o2 for the 2nd night- better than the first (Duff Helped), but the band actually sounded better than last night- and the sound quality (the o2 is a different venue to get to grips in comparison with  a smaller venue for the sound guys).

As for why Duff was there, perhaps it was just a bi product of something else? Bach knew all about it, VR need a new singer they get on with a big voice. Just rumours I heard next to me where I was sitting. I don't know if there's any truth in it though.

Nice to know there's no bad blood between Axl and Duff though. And it capped my birthday week off perfectly!

So very cool doesn't even begin to cover it. :smoking:

DUFF MCKAGAN Joins GUNS N' ROSES On Stage In London! - Oct. 14, 2010

Former GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan joined the band's current lineup on stage earlier tonight (Thursday, October 14) at London, England's O2 arena to perform four songs: "You Could Be Mine", "Nice Boys" (ROSE TATTOO cover), "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" (BOB DYLAN cover) and "Patience". This marked the first time since 1993 that McKagan and singer Axl Rose shared a concert stage.

The first photos of this historic event can be found below (all pictures courtesy of GUNS N' ROSES and Sebastian Bach via Twitter). Also available is low-quality fan-filmed video footage of the reunion.

The band's setlist was as follows:

01. Intro
02. Chinese Democracy
03. It's So Easy
04. Mr. Brownstone
05. Sorry
06. Shackler's Revenge
07. Richard Fortus Solo
08. Live And Let Die
09. Instrumental Jam
10. This I Love
11. Better
12. Rocket Queen
13. Dizzy Reed Solo
14. Street Of Dreams
15. You Could Be Mine (w/ Duff McKagan on bass)
16. The Ballad Of Death
17. Sweet Child O'Mine
18. Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)
19. Axl Piano Solo
20. November Rain
21. Bumblefoot Solo
22. I.R.S.
23. Nice Boys (w/ Duff McKagan on guitar)
24. Knocking On Heaven's Door (w/ Duff McKagan on guitar)
25. Nightrain

Encore:

26. Don't Cry
27. Madagascar
28. Patience (w/ Duff McKagan on tambourine)
29. Whole Lotta Rosie
30. Waiting On A Friend (jam)
31. Paradise City

According to Rock Radio, Rose claimed tonight's reunion came about by accident because he and McKagan happened to be staying at the same hotel. He told the crowd: "There was this guy at the end of my hallway playing all this loud music and shit. What the fuck? Oh ? it's Duff!"

Duff McKagan joined Axl Rose onstage for the first time in seventeen years tonight, playing bass on (at least) "You Could Be Mine" and "Knockin' On Heavens Door" at London's 02 Arena. (The band confirmed this [on Twitter https://twitter.com/gunsnroses].) Rumors of a full-fledged Guns N? Roses reunion are sure to come, but Rose has made it abundantly clear that he will never share a stage with Slash again. "One of the two of us will die before a reunion," Rose told Billboard in 2009. "However sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is."

See photos of the early days of Guns N' Roses

Axl did play with original GNR rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin at a number of shows in 2006. "I could see doing a song or so on the side with Izzy or having him out [on tour] again," Rose said in 2009. "I'm not so comfortable with doing anything having more than one of the alumni. Maybe something with Duff [McKagan], but that's it." Last year McKagan told Rolling Stone that he's also open to the idea of working with Rose again. "I'm not going to be one of those guys who's like 'fuck that, that'll never happen.' he said. "It could very well happen. I love Axl. We've been through a lot of shit together that nobody can take that away from us."

McKagan joined Jane's Addiction this year, only to split with the group in September over musical differences. Earlier this week, Slash announced on his MySpace page that Velvet Revolver is auditioning new singers. "It's great to hook up with Duff, Matt & Dave after all this time," Slash wrote. "I'll keep you posted on any interesting developments from those sessions as they happen. The creative juices are definitely flowing. I'm positive something awesome is going to surface soon."

This is a great concert and this is all really, really cool. But this is also so weird. This morning I hear about a new reality show about rock star's wives and Duff's wife is one of the people on the show. Now today he's playing with GnR. Don't get me wrong, I don't care whether it's for some tv show (directly or indirectly) or not. Either way I think it's great, but the timing is really weird.

On another subject, please, please, please put out a dvd! This band kicks ass, and a live video from this tour would be a fantastic Christmas gift.

Hey Vicious Wishes... YES it really is time for a DVD!!

Duff joining the band on stage was incredible!  A total shock/surprise...!

Gig was AMAZING... sound was great (imo!), and Axl's looking better than he has done since early 90s.  I know it's not about looks, but glad he's lost the braids and got the bandana back!  I'm sure this discussion will have been done already though!!

I want to hear details how this happened.

Duff was in the same hotel.. Axl heard loud music down the hall and....... would've loved to have seen the looks on their faces when they saw each other. just cool shit.

That damn well better not be Chris' tambourine he was touching!

Are we gonna get any reviews/info about the show besides the Duff mentions?
Not that that isn't nice too but I'm sure the guys weren't all just standing around with their thumbs up their asses.

Just love this  :)

You downplay the fact that Duff played with GNR for the first time since what, 1997 (?) .... honestly, that's the biggest news out of this show. A nice setlist? Yes. But it was fucking Duff!

That's all that matter about the night to me, I'm sure many people feel the same way.

I'm glad HTGTH doesnt entertain the kind of obsolete discussion going on at the other GN'R forums.

Was just great to see them perform live together again, Axl was grinning from ear to ear.

end of the vid, Tommy appeared without a bass and Duff handed it to him before walking offstage, so i dont know.

thats HUGE of Tommy to be so selfless and allow that to happen. big props to him for that!

Exactly what I was going to say. Biggest reason Duff wouldn't come back full time is Tommy would have to leave and that's pretty unlikely at this point. (Up to a point you can get away with adding extra guitars to songs/bands but it doesn't really work that way with bass.)

Depending how long Duff's in the UK and what else he has to do here I wouldn't be suprised if he did a few shows with them, but that's the most I think anyone could expect.

Besides I want Loaded to tour their new album!

Tommy is the Bass player in Guns and has been for well over 10 years I don't want that to change.

I'm off to Manchester on Monday and I want Tommy to play Bass for all the songs, if Duff turns up then yes it would be cool but only for a song or two, then he can get back to his own shit.

As far as I can remember (got back at 3am and haven't slept yet due to work :( ) there was no hugging or shaking of hands, Duff just walked on when YCBM started. Axl introduced him at the end of the songs. Duff played guitar on a couple of songs as well (Nice boys and Patience I think)

I don't think with all the talk about a new VR album this means anything, apart from Axl is easier to deal with than Scott Weiland.
I noticed GNR's twitter thanked Sebastian Bach and Duff, so that may suggest Bach was the Catalyst for this.

"Thank you so very much to @sebastianbach @duffmckagan64 and most of all the great staff + folks @LondonO2! YouROCK"

Was Duff checking Bach's performance out? I've heard talk about this. Perhaps the hotel room down the hall from Axl's where Duff was playing loud music, was Bach's?  Just rumours at the mo.

It also thanked the o2 for it's great staff. Everyone wondered why the o2 bent it's strict rules for GNR, but after this little news story, the o2 is back in the news as a venue where something big happened- Prince's 21 nights, Led Zep, the failed Jacko comeback- this has kept it in the public eye showing it to be a venue where lots of big stuff happens. And it's only 13 minutes from my house! Thanks o2 arena!

Now, that was a night to remember!  : ok:

First of all, this was another great show! And "you never know what fate has in store for you..."  :smoking:

Being a fan from 80s, i was very touched and all sentimental seeing Duff on stage with Axl again. It almost brought tears in my eyes.. To be honest, not only because i saw Duff onstage, but watching Uncle smiling whiles saying "Duff"... Just like 2006 when i saw Izzy and Uncle  smiling and holding to eachother onstage at Athens.

But the thing that made me have goosbumps, it s watching Tommy being so supportive to Duff.. I mean look at the end of the video of YCBM... He is clapping hands, giving Duff a big hang - the guy that played bass for this band before him. I admire Tommy SO MUCH, for being so close and supportive to Axl all THESE YEARS, and watching him being so supportive and respectfull to the old members.. He is great! And all the rest - Richard, Frank, Dj etc are so respectfull to the old members..never said a bad thing about them, always welcome them onstage with a big smile!

It was very nice to see Duff onstage with Axl again... They both seemed happy about it! It s nice for the world to see that Axl has no problem with old Guns members - exept Slash of course but that s a whole other subject to talk about  ;D

Now, i saw all the "we ll have a reunion" shit all over internet - it was something to be exepcted after last night.. But look at your hearts, deep inside your hearts, and please think : do you really want a reunion? Is a reunion a fair thing for everybody? i dont think so..

These guys, "the new Gnr" as people says, GUNS N ROSES to my mind - not new, not old but GNR! - are with Axl so many years - a lot more compare to Duff. Slash etc.. They are making great music ,and they seem SO happy being with Axl on stage all these years! i mean for example, do people want Duff to replace Tommy?? Do people wanna see Duff onstage instead of Tommy? I dont. I love Duff, i m more than happy to see him joining the band for a few nights, but Tommy was there through difficult periods in GnR history.. it would not be fair for him or the other guys to replace them!

So i m with Jarmo on this one - "go fuck yourself" if you think a reunion is about to happen or if you want a reunion to happen cause it s "the right thing for Axl to do".... fuck that.

Hope we ll see again Izzy or Duff - or maybe Matt, Steve, even Slash! on stage with Axl - , but most of all i HOPE that Axl and  company will always have these happy smiles on their faces when perfoming forever! This happy smile that WAS MISSING from Axl face during the last tour back in 1993, and sure missing from Axl face during 1994-2000 wich was the hardest time for Axl!

Hope we ll get more pics/videos from last night - last night was a great night for all the fans!

I have been a Guns N Roses fan since the earliest 90`s. I think its awesome that Duff hit the stage with Guns N Roses. Duff was the coolest of them all when i was young. So this is really exiting.

I have also met Tommy, and he also awesome! and he is the GNR BASSIST!

So please take this as a fucking great tidbit in GNR history! This band never stops exiting me =)
Tommy showed how awesome bassist and person he is, and shared the stage with Duff! Thats an amazing moment

why wouldnt u wanna see Matt Sorum showing up... that was the worst thing that happened to GNR in the 90s. Remember those annoying pointless drum solos he had?

Steven would be even greater than see Slash, i think Steven was the soul of GNR, his drums made Appetite look 10 times more powerful than it was!

As far as reunion goes... this is why i dont agree with it: the new band guys.. Tommy, Pittman, Dizzy Reed just to mention a few have been with Axl for years now, supporting him and helping him to rebuild GNR so we can actually have our favorite band on the road and making new albums. Even if Axl wanted a reunion now, dont u think it would be unfair to actually kick those guys that stood by him during all this time and have the old guys who basically left Axl alone years ago and through all these years werent supportive at all.

Even if Axl wanted it, which is not the case... im telling you.. if Axl did the reunion, i would lose a lot of respect i have for him...
I dont believe he will, and i want this new band to continue.

The only thing good about a reunion, would probably be that the people who are hoarding songs would leak them in order to promote the new band because most of them dont care about the old band anymore. (i didnt say this, you havent heard it from me).  :hihi:

But no... i dont want a reunion, neither i think its gonna happen

If the reunion happens would be a dream come true, but if not, after watching the current lineup on tour,i will enjoy the future for sure.

New band fuckin rocks, and maybe they need ex members like guests (like Izzy andDuff) on some shows"

What's all this I'm hearing about an acoustic show in London tonight?

As someone who left the Dublin gig after the bottling incident - and who lives in London - I'd cheerfully gnaw off my own arm to get into a London acoustic gig? anyone know what the score is?

STFU about reunion.

You wanted to see the old band, well they didn't fucking make it. So here's what you get. Axl Rose, Dizzy Reed, Frank Ferrer, Chris Pitman, Richard Fortus, Tommy Stinson, Ron Thal, DJ Ashba and if you're very fucking lucky, a guest spot by one Duff McKagan.

It's kinda wrong to get peoples hopes up when it's never going to happen, because it's just setting them up for more dissapointment. I'm sure the thought will have crossed a lot of peoples minds (including mine) but there's no reason to go around reinforcing the belief that it could happen where there is absolutely no basis for it.

People need to stop with the reunion crap, the only people here bitchin and moaning about a reunion are people not satisfied with the new Gnr. In that sense, go fuck YOURselves and and quit the board or start listening to Jarmos requests.

I believe Duff going up and jamming actually means there is LESS of a chance of any re-union happening.

Duff jumping in and playing almost can give the indication that he has now accepted that the Gnr as it was is now something different -

Cool stuff

anyway, I still don't understand this term, "reunion". it will never happen, and that's not something I'd love to see, I live in 2010 not in 1988.

BUT Guns line-up is not written in stone, it's a changing band, so maybe we'll see in the future some old member rejoins the band, why not ?
if Tommy wanna quit the band one day, who is the best replacement for him? hum well...I'm sure you have some idea.

if Richard wants to do something else one day, there's a great guitarist/songwriter we all knew before who can do the job...

but yes, it has to happen IF one of the current member wants to quit, at first.
and I'll have no problem with that.

You can say what you want, but the fact that Duff hit the stage will bring more (positive?) GN'R news in the media than any other current member did...
That's a fact.
Therefore I think it's bit cheap to insult people with 'go fuck yourselve'.

Most people and fans will always remember guns with lineup of the late eighties and early nineties... most people don't even know the names of the current members except for us (hardcore fans) eventough those people also go and watch, and enjoy the current lineup on stage.

My personal feeling is that the current lineup is maybe the best Guns ever had...but they did not yet released anything (song, video, album) that moved most people out there except for us, the hardcores.
Therefore please don't judge the people who are speculating of having/wanting Duff back in the band...it's a natural thing. It's fucking normal.
Maybe they are not welcome here, but it's what's going on in the 'real world'.

Let's speculate once and imagine it does happen that Duff returns...how would you then react?? I thnik it's a common saying all over the world 'never say never'.

;D sounds epic. I just cried. SO did both tommy and duff play bass? Did axl and duff shake hands or hug on stage? did he just walk out or was he introduced?

end of the vid, Tommy appeared without a bass and Duff handed it to him before walking offstage, so i dont know.

thats HUGE of Tommy to be so selfless and allow that to happen. big props to him for that!

I agree!
Tommy is great, and why wouldn't he be? There is no threat or competition between them, you have to be naive or too romantic (not that there's anything wrong with that) to believe this was more than just a guest appearance.  ::)

Tommy has been the bass player of GnR for more than a decade now, let's not forget that.
I'm sure everyone in the band made Duff feel welcome as they respect who he is.  :)

I imagine Tommy Stinson has a great deal of respect for Duff and vice versa.  Both these guys have racked up quite a rock n roll resume.

I love how one member of Old Guns makes a cameo and the conspiracy theories fly.  It probably went down like this.

Axl - who the fuck is that down the hall...Duff!
Duff- what's up dude, in London, might check out the gig tonight
Axl- we should work something out on some songs...for the fans...what do you remember...let's check with Tommy
Tommy- fuck yeah, let's do it.

No one hates each other, it's a thrill for the fans.  Duff looks great too when he's not bloated with alcohol.  The longer this tour runs the more I pray for US dates.  As a lifelong Guns fan I can say without a doubt that this band is bringing the heat every night.

Don't get me wrong, Duff joining the band on stage was a beautiful nostalgia thing, but the band has moved on since the 90s and with all due respect to Duff, I really don't think he has enough to offer musically for the band as it is now (meaning Duff seemingly prefers different direction in music if judged by the style of VR).

Crazy as hell, some things are just meant to happen. How did Axl found out Duff was there? i mean i heard the noise story, that he heard some loud music on the other room, but how was he sure it was Duff? Did he actually knocked on the door to see who it was? or did they saw each other leaving the rooms?

Un-fucking-believable.

I'm so lucky to have been down the front for this gig. It was so good, that Duff's surprise was just the icing on an already face-meltingly awesome cake.

A few obeservations:

Around where I was standing (just to the right of the central ramp), I heard about the fact that ithis wasn't the old lineup. Indeeed, during the opening of WTTJ a few charming fellow next to me chanted, 'you're not Slash' right at DJ, who was abot three foot away from us playing his ass off. Those cretins were won over before  the end of the song.

AXl sounded incredible thriughout the night. I was particulalrly impressed by the way nailed the low parts to 'Shacklers' and some of those notes he held on KOHD (seriously, if you haven't youtubed that performance yet, I urge you to stop reading this rubbish and go and do it now!) He genuinely looked like he was having a good time throughout, and I think it showed in the speech he gave thinking the crowd and the o2 at the end.  The so called 'costume changes' were limited to a few changes of his (very sweaty) shirts and hats. No big deal.

Forget any reviews that you might have read about the band being nothing but 'bored looking session musos' They covered that stage like a well drilled special forces unit. I really think that each player in this lineup does justice to the older songs whilst putting their own stamp on it, particularly Bumble.

Once the doubeters were won over, they were going crazy over every last note, even the instrumentals.

The production ans sound mix were spot on throughout the night (at least from where I was) - I was worried after Bach's performance thaTt the vocals would be a bit low in the mix. But everything during G N R came through loud and clear. The pyro was, as always, in impeccable taste.

As for Duff, I think the whole crowd thought they were haulucinating when he strode out and kicked into the opning bass riff from YCBM, just like like it was 1991 all over again. As some others have commented, he did look a little bit lost up on the stage, but I guess in its understandable as in this scenario he was the 'new guy' (yes, the 'new guy' in a band that he helped to satrt over 25 years ago. This goes to show how far things have moved on since the old days and how legit and tight this new band is). There was some interraction between Duff and Tommy and Bumble, but I have to say that I didn't see any signs of a re-ergant chemistry with Axl. I noticed on one occasion that Duff looked at Axl quite warily when he breezed past him duirng 'Nice Boys'. Just an observavtion, not a whine. The fact that those two shared a stage again is astonishing enough.

Not to mention they have more than a little in common background-wise.
Come to think of it this isn't the first time they've been on stage together either. Duff's band Ten Minute Warning opened for The Replacements in Seattle in the early 80's. (I'm still hoping there are photos of that gig around somewhere.)

I love that hotel story. I can just imagine the look on their faces if they did literally just bump into each other. :o
(Although Duff being over here on buisness probably makes it less likely he'll be at any other shows, considering he presumably won't have time to follow the band around on tour.)

BTW I'd guess part of the reason Duff looked a little awkward on stage would be the fact that he hasn't played some of these songs in a while. You Could Be Mine I don't think he's done since leaving GNR.

Nice try, but I'd recommend not to mix apples with oranges. Back in the 90s people left because they wanted to, they were not fired to be replaced by someone else (well, we all know about Steven but that was a bit different, he could not do the job), so no, how can I lose respect if people want to move on? It would not do anybody any good to force anyone to stay against their will.

Anyone who says they wouldn't be happy to see at least one show with the old band can, "Go fuck yourselves".

Jarmo did you even like Guns prior to the 2000's? Why would you, as the owner of an amazing Guns site, tell people to go fuck themselves for thinking about a reunion? Obviously no one should get that idea from this, but don't act like a tool for no reason.

The new band is cool, and they released a good cd, and I think if they all wrote together it could be really good. But no matter how great the music is, they will never be the old band, not that they have to be. Axl is completely separate from the rest of the guys. You see any of the videos of the band practicing? Axl is nowhere to be found. These guys are hired guns, no pun intended. They're good, and I enjoy them, but that's what they are.

Any of you who say, "A reunion would be a step back" are absolutely fucking jackasses. A reunion of 5 of the greatest musicians of all time would be a step back? Yeah that makes sense. This site is unbelievable sometimes. THE NEW BAND IS GOOD. I GET IT. I LIKE THEM. THEY SHOULD GET MORE CREDIT. Why can't you like the new band but realize that they aren't, and never will be on the level of what the original 5 were? I can't believe people honestly would not want the original 5 together. Why are you all Guns fans? Did you start with Chinese Democracy? If so, then okay, I understand. But nearly all of us started with Appetite, which was one of the greatest albums ever made. That was back when Guns N Roses was an actual band...5 guys who were equals. What we have now is cool, because it's better than nothing, and the musicianship is impressive, but all it is, is a cover band with the original lead singer. Axl is making 50 times what the others are making. He wanted a band he could dictate to, and he's got it. He's got a group of guys that are just happy to be a part of Guns, so they'll put up with going on an hour late or not having any say in anything.

The new band is great, but you all would shit your pants if the old band got back together, don't act like you wouldn't. And Jarmo, you should be about a thousand times more professional. You've got one of the best, if not the best, Guns site on the internet. Maybe it makes you a little cocky, and maybe I get banned for speaking against you, but don't be a douche bag just because you're in a position of power.

Why can't you like the new band but realize that they aren't, and never will be on the level of what the original 5 were?

I think now, that even a reunion is not gonna make them the level they WERE.

I was wondering that myself... Did he just come on stage for YCBM, and get the intro at the end of the song?

The end of YCBM w/ Tommy and Duff really give me the chills! Absolutley GREAT!

@adamwolff... I am a huge fan of the both the band's past and present. But why do I personally not want to see a reunion? The answer is simple... I do not believe the new band members are just "hired guns" as so many people put it. To say that shows a huge amount of disrespect to them. They may not be the original members, and may be under contract... but when it comes to the band they all make valuable contributions. I'm hoping that at some point this line-up gets their own record out there to prove this. And because of this, I think that it will be the biggest insult to them if Axl suddenly one day said, "My old friends want to talk to me again, so you're all fired". After how much they've invested, it would be the ultimate put-down.
Now I don't mind seeing guest appearances happening, because it's nice to see that water can indeed flow under the bridge of GN'R... having all of the original line-up not hating each other any more would be fantastic. But anything more than that would be like sweeping years of the band's history under the rug.

I also like things how they are now... Slash's album and tour is fantastic. Duff's band is also great, and put on some of the best shows I've ever been at. Izzy's always putting out new material, and Guns N' Roses are the biggest live rock n' roll spectacle in the world currently. Why would I want these four things to be compressed into one? (Other than to make it easier on my wallet, obviously).

Im a British Pakistani and this was my first ever GUNS N ROSES concert. I am so fortunate to see them. I took my friend with me whose also British Pakistani. Im into GNR but he's into his other music like Bhangra, Hip-Hop etc etc but even he was BLOWN away with how good GNR were and especially AXL. I didnt reconise DUFF when he came on, it was my friend who did. He said to me ' Whose that tall dude who just came on stage' I was like OMG, thats DUFF. Overall it was an amazing experience. Im sick of certain people saying crap about the band. It was 1000000% PERFECTION.

I still like my idea: Gunsfest. A 1 day, 1 stage festival with ALL the members, past and present initially playing with their side/solo projects (as many as possible anyway, I'd love a Replacements reunion too but it ain't gonna happen) and then the headline act is every GNR line-up playing in reverse chronological order. Start with the newer songs, go through stuff Buckethead wrote with them (with him playing it) etc. end on AFD songs.

Then they can go back to what they're doing now. :)

Never going to happen in a million years (I think Duff would kill me, he'd be playing about 5 or 6 sets in a day!) but it would be awesome.

I concur about peoples moaning about the new line up, when i saw them live i had a great time n i dont understand why the press gives them so much hate.

Duff just came on and Axl introduced him after YCBM. It was great. As for the reunion, i hate it when people start to talk about reunion etc etc. Only Axl and GNR know. It was just an appearance. Same as when Izzy came on in 2006. Is Izzy back? NO!!

Great video of YCBM.  Kudos to Ron for encouraging Duff to get to the front of the stage and making him feel a bit more comfortable up there.  Ron and Duff actually are friends and go back a few years - and Duff had Ron play on stage with him before - one show I was at a couple of years ago in NYC where Ron played guitar on a couple of songs.  Great stuff.

How did they introduce Duff anyway?

They didn't. All of a sudden there was this blonde 8ft monster at the front of the stage. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on. I don't think most people knew it was him until Axl announced him afterward. In fact, the look on Ron's face, I wasn't even sure the rest of the band knew he was coming on (apart from Tommy).

To be honest, it wouldn't of been very GNR if Axl had introduced him, ran up and given him a big kiss and done a little dance. Way cooler to be non chalant about it- on both their parts. It wasn't a reunion, it was a sign that Duff doesn't harbour any bad feelings about not being part of Guns, and Axl doesn't hate him either. I really doubt if Duff could bear being with Axl before that he could now, and vice versa but that doesn't mean they can't make peace with each other.

Anyone else notice that Duff wasn't turned up to an audible level on the songs he played guitar on?!  He kept gestering over to the sound guy and talking to Tommy bout it.

Awesome show, huge set, knackered at work today after missing last tube home but well worth it!

Band sounded tight, DJ was spot on and very impressive.

There's not a lot I can add to the positive stuff other than from a observational point of view from the gods.

The moshing that was going on was wild, kinda sucks if your stuck around it and hate it but fuck, was that energetic and the bods who disappeared over the barrier, were they slung out, or sent to the back of the room   Would love to see a "from the gods" video of Jungle, the place looked like an earthquake was going on, on a par with what I've seen from our Argentinian friends.

Axl was smiling loads and clearly out to have fun, as were the rest of the band.

Never heard a single "where's slash comment all evening, even from the many "suits" that were there, clearly knowledgeable crowd these days....

Frank was on fire, best drummer in the history of Nn'fR on that performance, cool that he wore the tee shirt of "Rock School" he visited this week.

Heads up to Axl in thanking TfL in making a late night possible, seems they made additional plans to counter-act any fans staying late instead of taking heed of their "official" advice (as if   ) was back in the hotel (docklands Travelodge)  at 12:45 after seeing the whole of PC and taking 2 trains to get there...

Biggest moan, the drinkers who were forever getting up for a piss (why not use a bottle and dispose of it  not drink as much beer and go for shorts instead.

All in all, the only time I've got to see a "show" of their own rather than at a festival, each time has been great for different reasons, this is the hands down best show on so many fronts.

Just as an also worth noting, I see Arnie's in town, a reunion tonight would be so special... From my post made on the Oct 13 show,

Should have said the Terminated is in town, not make reference to the Terminator... :hihi:

Seriously though, its good that Duff wanted to get a jam going with Axl and the band and would have love to have seen it myself, (but then I do with every fucking show played)  But and here's the deal, Duff and any other former member that make the odd appearance will be doing just that, making the odd appearance, special yes, reunion no.

And all credit to the members of Guns n Roses for giving a hat-tip to the past legacy that in part has been the basis for their career with the band.  But it needs to be remembered, they were accomplished musicians before joining GnR, and were offered the gig based on their talent and not made into great artists by joining Axl.  Better known-yep, more notorious yes, but its their input that the tour is being built upon, old guns had a part in that and whats said and done is history, I'm all for the odd guest spot now and again, but I won't lose any sleep WHEN IT DOESN'T HAPPEN.

First of all, Del that was One.In.A.Million (Lee)  ;D at the tube station today wearing the gnr shirt. I looked at you and you looked at me, but I never wanted to bother you, plus you was on the other side of the track at Westminster. It was nice seeing you get on the tube with the GN'R technician, made my day.  :)

Secondly, oh my god, Duff Mckagan with GN'R for the first time since 93 and I was there. The way he came out during YCBM was so cool, I was going mad.

Ok now about the shows, they was awesome. Every one was in a good mood, and Axl was shining, from the start to the end. The first four songs ruled as usual, and all the crowd was cheering and were being very supportive. Tommy was like an animal during these shows, he kept on going to the front of the stage which is where he belongs. It was my first time seeing Nice Boys live, and I never felt so lucky.

I will just again like to say how much of a pleasure it was to see the Duff meister, up playing with Axl again. Frank went over to him during patience and handed him a tamborine, it was so nice to see. What was also wierd was seeing Duff rocking out to Paradise city from the side, thank you GN'R for making my 21st GN'R concert so special. :)

Sorry Marion we couldn't meet, never found each other did we.  :hihi:

Tommy was very gracious with Duff, and all of the members of GN'R were very respectful to Duff. It was so nice to see, and I can't believe that I witnessed it.

As soon as the Duffmeister came out during YCBM, I was like let me blink again and again, then it hit.  8)

I have never seen Duff live as I don't follow the old ex gunners that much, so it was nice seeing him under the GN'R banner. Really wierd I tell ya, but so real when you are there in the moment.

My personal opinion is I would have rather it have been Robin Finck, just because he is my favourite member ever besides Axl. Just my view, but it was out of this world seeing Duff, very cool indeed.  : ok:

I see people on here bashing Duff... and u are a GNR fan?

If u are a true GNR fan, u wouldn't bash Duff, u would be excited as fuck over this once in a lifetime thrill of a moment.

no one is gonna think u are any less of an Axl supporter by being excited over seeing Duff onstage with him again.

its all ridiculous but people gotta spoil an amazing moment somehow i guess.

To anyone saying Duff couldn't contribute to this current band, u are out of your fucking minds.  Have some respect for the guy who wrote/cowrote some of the most classic songs ever.

This of course doesn't mean a reunion will happen, it sure will throw some gas on it in the media though.. So whenthat happens, don't blame Duff, blame the media. thank you! : ok:

Leave it to Guns n Roses "fans" to completely ruin what was a cool moment last night..some of you guys fucking suck.  Why can't we all just enjoy the moment for what it was, completely spontaneous unplanned really cool thing.  Why do you have to psychoanalyze everything and turn things into this old vs. new bullshit.  It's either someone convinced that there is going to be a reunion now or its someone saying some wise ass insult about Duff that completely disregards everything he ever contributed to the band.  This is the only fan base in the history of music who has such animosity towards each other.  Do you see Metallica, Led Zeppelin or AC/DC "fans" ripping on members past or present of the band they supposedly love?  The saddest thing is if tomorrow out of nowhere Axl is all the sudden cool with Slash again some of you guys will race to the boards to delete every negative thing you ever said about the old band... and you all know it.

Guns N Roses are still the best band in the universe, past present and future, and I'm not going to let anyone ruin it for me.

Great post, man.

Myself, I love the old band...was 16 when I bought 'Appetite', and the rest is history.

Would I love to see a reunion? Absolutely. The thing about new Guns is that you're getting great musicianship out of the guys when you see them live. That never happened with the original lineup, as someone was always wasted onstage. The original five (or six, if you wanna throw in Dizzy) onstage, clean and sober---that would be pretty spectacular, even if it was just a one-shot deal.

Everybody knows on this board that I love the current band, and still want the Finckster to return.

But, I have to say that I was starstruck seeing Duff walk on during YCBM. I was so shocked, and felt lucky to have been there to witness this. Everyone talking about a reunion, are as wrong as the people bashing Duff. Axl felt happy to perform with Duff again and we as GN'R fans got to witness something really special.

I would definitely rank this show with Duff as one of my fav of my 21 shows so far, purely because of what happened.

It felt really cool as if GN'R fans was paying their respects to Duff, and Duff seemed happy to get such a nice reception.

"Nice reception" is the word idd...I am not even that much fan of Duff (nothing against him either, don't worry..."just" neutral about this nice fellow) but it was special idd and so good to see that he actually never left the band...once a Gunner...always a Gunner  :peace:

I wasn't even aware that Duff was in the UK.

It was a total shock, and from the way Duff acted onstage I feel he was surprised and very humbled by the overwhelming positive response from the crowd.

And people can thank Ron for inciting this, as he appeared with Duff a while ago. I think Ron appearing with Duff definitely helped the cause for this to happen. I know Axl said it in his chats as well, but I think it was a big move for Ron to put his hand out to Duff, and this was the reward.

No need to argue over this, it is what it was.

Which is a valued former member of a great Rock N' Roll band, making a rare appearance which should be welcomed by all I feel. I honestly don't know why anyone else would feel any different.

Now let's hope the Finckster puts in an appearance, maybe when the band head back to the states, Who knows.  ;D

I thought people would like this little piece of trivia.

The song in which Duff first came out onstage on Thursday was You Could Be Mine. This song was used on the Terminator 2 soundtrack which featured Arnold Schwarzenegger. Who is good friends with GN'R, which led to, Axl, Dizzy, Duff plus the band appearing in the scene with Arnie in the end of the music video.

Now this is what I find rather cool.

On same day when Duff performed with GN'R, since 93, Which was Oct 14th 2010. Arnold Schwarzenegger was also in London on the same day, visiting the British Prime minister. So as Duff was rocking out with GN'R, Arnie was less than 20 minutes away in Westminster.

I think that is a really cool coincidence considering GN'Rs history with Arnie, and with also the YCBM soundtrack and Music Video back in 92. ;D

he borrowed it all from GNR. Duff didn't come to London to play with GNR. it just was a crazy coincidence from what i gather.

if u watch the You Could Be Mine vid, he clearly has Tommy's bass as he is met by Tommy after the song not wearing an instrument and Duff takes it off and gives it to him.

Also notice Patience, Duff has a tamborine, Ron, hands Duff his guitar and goes gets another one for himself.

yeah, that's what I thought.

I knew he played on Tommy's bass and Ron's acoustic guitar

I just thought for a second that he brought just one guitar to London...

but yeah, he wasn't prepared to play at all

apart from that, it is so cool, that he was so well welcomed by the whole current band

Ok, just to make this clear cause people have been asking me and I don't want you to get the wrong idea.

I'm not a bootlegger, meaning I don't tape shows. I don't have a professional camera sneaked into the arenas.

These videos were taken with my Sony cam which is for pictures. Its quality is really good so we've got some great videos of that night.

So, no there is no bootleg from that show, at least not from me.

I just thought we should make some good memories of that show for all the fans to enjoy and remember...

So, enjoy and keep on loving Guns N' Roses...

Well said!!! I love this new band actually i'm going to see them in Barcelona the next 23rd but everyone here would be more than happy if the old line up play one gig

Cheers!

He didn't say that. He said that Duff playing with GN'R isn't a sign of a reunion...so...the "Go fuck yourselves" wasn't to those who wants the reunion. It was for people that thinks that Duff playing with GN'R is a sign of reunion

They will never be the old band...who wants to be "the old band" anyway? Did you ask...I don't know...Tommy Stinson if he wants to be the "new" Duff.

Axl was ALWAYS separate from the rest of the guys. Is something called "personality".

Wow...people cannot tell you to fuck yourself because you want the reunion but you can say that the person who thinks that the reunion would be a step back is a jackass? Paradoxical...

"Why can't you like the new band but realize that they aren't, and never will be on the level of what the original 5 were?". Yes...you're right. The current line-up is better. Listen some of your bootlegs and you'll see. Stop the nostalgia, man.

The new band is great, but you all would shit your pants if the old band got back together, don't act like you wouldn't. And Jarmo, you should be about a thousand times more professional. If you are interested in my "jackass opinion", I wouldn't shit my pants if the old band got back together (impossible, by the way). Pure nostalgia. Why can't you accept that there's people who loves this band more than AFD or UYI band? Is that hard? You refer to Jarmo as an intolerant guy but can't you see that you're acting like an intolerant too..?

Ive been reading the comments about a so called "reunion" of the band.....

The attacks to Jarmo, and telling him that he probably didn't like GnR before 2000 is pretty stupid.  I've been a fan since 1986, saw them in concerts since 1988, loved the old band, but the new ERA is WAY better than anything the old line-up would give us.

Great musicians, great gigs etc etc.

I don't want to see the old line up back.  It would be just for the money, and THAT is not fucking Rock n Roll!  I like to see Robert Plant saying NO to a reunionas much  I like seing Axl say NO to a reunion too.  Couple of gigs here and there with ex members are cool, but that's it.

Axcl is happy now, and forcing him into a reunion would just make him mad, and the gigs would suck!

ANyhow...just my 2 cents!

Absolutely amazing couple of nights at the 02... I have some pretty good pics (if i do say so myself!), will upload once back home on Tues.  Was standing about 5/10 rows from front on both nights and finally managed to get a few non-blurry pics of axl - at last!
So many highlights... Shacklers was FIERCE!, SO great to hear it live, the crowd was a lot more crazy on 14th ( at least where me and ianlei were), a few fights broke out (pissed dickheads that were soon dealt with) and lots of shoving, but it was great being in a psyched up crowd, esp for Jungle, and there was great atmos all around.
Was really cool seeing duff prowling onstage for YCBM, - tommy was so wonderful to him, and ron and frank too. Fkn cool moment - like seeing Izzy at Download 06 for me, brilliant guest spots.  Am sure I saw duff mouthing "wow" at DJ when he (DJ) was playing a solo (patience??) at the front . no fkn shit - DJ is fkn incredible.
GnR are incredible. I am SO happy that these shows went so well, after the largely lame ass crowds and ensuing shit at Reading. They grabbed the 02 by the balls.  I love their onstage chemistry, Axl smiling so much and sounding just out of this world. Nice Boys was another highlight for me and Sorry - i just love that live. Thanks to everyone (you know who you are, and GnR esp!) who made these two nights so damn special for me...

I also have to give props to Baz, both nights he was like an animal.

I also love his new song, forgot the name, but he always says it's from the heart. I hope he plays it at Birmingham, Manchester and Barcelona too.

I also like the new guitar spot towards the end of the GN'R show, while my guitar gently weeps, that rocks.  : ok:

Agreed.

Baz really cares about Rock n Roll, he's a big kid with an even bigger heart and his comments about 1989 makes me think that he wishes that time would just stay still and and let him stay at the most exciting period of his life.

Baz also let it be known that he cares about Axl and that he wanted to do justice as the Guns n Roses "fluffer" making sure the audience were well primed for (inter)action with the main act.  Speaking as somebody who wasn't at the 14th show, but the 13th, it made me laugh the way he stopped a song to tell the crowd off for being lame and the crowd instantly did as they were told   Your the man Baz  : ok:

I guess what you are seeing is just some ackwardness due to the fact that they haven't shared the same stage for a long time and this was a pretty spontaneous thing to do IMO.

At the time it crossed my mind for a split second (before i thought "Wow... Duff!!!" again)... But when I watch the video I think it seems more of a fun thing than animosity really... I dunno, personally I wouldn't let someone guest on stage with me/wouldn't play at someones show if I was still really bitter towards them lol. Would have loved to see them bump into each other in that hotel!!

Either way, awesome show and I'm so grateful to whoever/whatever made Duff's return happen... I've never been part of history before  :D

At best there might be some regrets, but the pair of 'em are big and ugly enough to not want to "reminisce old novelties"

Believe me, if there was any baggage in the way of these two, this event wouldn't have happened.  Pure and simple, as with Izzy, Axl has no axe to grind with either of 'em and thus is happy to share the stage with them.  I'd even suggest that Axl probably has even sought the OK with the rest of the band first, such is the chemistry between 'em all these day - but that's my opinion, therefore not based in anyway fact, although it might be.

So, both Duff and his wife loved my video? Wow... I'm so fuckin' happy right now!!!

That is AWESOME, man  : ok:  You did a great job with the videos and the photos.  Thanks again for sharing.

It is very intriguing how this all worked out.  I wonder if Axl and Duff talked - had a heart to heart before the show, or was it just Axl saying "you know if you want to play a few songs with us..."

I also wouldn't be surprised if Tommy was the one who arranged the whole thing and set everything up...with Axl's ok of course.

When Izzy took the stage for the first time at Hammerstein in '06 it was magical. Axl was truly happy to have him up there...you could just see it in his face and energy on stage.
I believe he was happy to have Duff up there too but Axl seemed to be a bit on guard and at the same time making sure to keep doing his thing in an almost "yep I still got it" way. But he clearly is happy Duff is up there - he acknowledges him a few times in both introductions and in interaction on stage.

Really great to see Duff up there with Axl - I said for years, after Izzy, Duff would be the one for Axl to connect with next - as Duff always had Axl's back for the most part and after all he has been through in his life, and where he is at now is definitely something to admire. Duff is a completely different man and artist now. And he did leave a bit amicably from the band.
Duff is great.   If you ever get to see Duff's band Loaded live, do so! I had the fortune of seeing Duff play with Camp Freddy a couple of times, and a couple of years ago saw Loaded. Duff is great live. And his voice is pretty awesome!
And if you haven't got his latest album "Sick" do it now! Fantastic album.

Kudos again to all the guys in the band for being so welcoming and giving to Duff on that stage, especially Tommy and Ron.
And Axl of course.

Will be interesting to see if this changes what Duff writes in his upcoming book.  He is a straight up guy so I think he will be as honest as he can in talking about the past and present (and future?) when it comes to these latest events.

I honestly think theres still some bitternes between them, and i even believe this thing with the old members coming and play is mostly to make fans happy and not because Axl actually wants it really bad. Axl stated himself he wouldnt feel confortable playing with more than 1 of the alumini together on the same stage... If there wasnt any kind of animosity, he wouldnt care. Theres a reason why they havent spoke for 17 years! Any person that doesnt speak to another for 17 years will feel weird!
And it even felt from watching the video, that Axl was kinda showing off to Duff and kinda trying to say that he kicked all the old members ass...

That's Axl's stage.  He is not going to allow anyone on that stage that he doesn't want.

With that said, I do not know how Duff came to be on that stage that night - whether he and Axl had a heart to heart THEN Axl invited Duff to do a few songs if he liked.  Or if they just spoke a bit, Axl had the idea and maybe had Tommy negotiate it?  Who knows.  Hopefully that will come out if Axl and/or Duff share their thoughts on the night.

But in the mean time, let's all enjoy those moments that were fortunate to have been caught on video for the rest of us G N' R fans to see.  They certainly were memorable!

I don't see what you're saying and I refuse to believe that Axl would do something he is not comfortable with just for tha fans... it doesn't sound like him.

I really want to believe there was just some ackwardness in the air, which is totally understandable and that everybody had fun having Duff as a guest and him & Axl can finally bury the hatchet -if there was any- and that's all.

 :peace:

I didnt say Axl didnt feel confortable.... i said i think it was more like business is business, personal is personal kind of thing on that show.

I believe for the most part Axl did it for the surprise factor, to give something to the fans.
Sure he's probably  slightly on good terms with Duff, but i believe theres still some bitterness and animosity between both, i mean its normal... 17 years... its not a sweet pie to swallow.

Just because Duff came out on stage doesn't mean they found closure to everything that happened.

With that being said... that doesn't have anything to do with Axl being confortable or not... everyday we do business with people we dont like... its business.... im not saying Axl doesn't like Duff... but im sure they're not the best friends either... but that doesnt mean he wont be confortable sharing the stage with him for a couple of songs... they dont even need to interact to do that...

About the Confortable bit... the only thing i referred to that, was the fact that AXL HIMSELF mentioned on the chats with the board members  that he wouldnt feel confortable sharing the stage with more than 1 alumini at a time. That was AXL HIMSELF who said it... not me.

Thats all im saying...

When Axl sang to Duff "and ill rip your heart in two", you could see Axl was clearly referring to the old members, not just Duff but Duff, Slash and Matt (the velvet revolvers so to say). You could see that Axl was kinda saying that he ended up kicking their ass, and thats what happens when u mess with me"... thats my opinion about it

First off, I think people are reading into things just a bit. You don't invite someone to play with for a good number of songs unless you feel comfortable. I think Duff and Axl had  some interaction with each other in the hallway. They had to bury the hatchet a bit for both to appear on the same stage together!!

Second, Axl's voice has gotten stronger each and every nite. It's much better than in the Hammerstein ballroom show that I saw in 06. It might even be better than the UYI days.  I can't wait for a US tour. I have 25 vacation days next year and I will definitely be taking two of them for a GNR concert if they come to the NJ/NYC area.

Duff McKagan joined the current GN'R lineup on stage Thursday, October 14 at London, England's O2 arena to perform four songs: "You Could Be Mine", "Nice Boys," "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" & "Patience."

This marked the first time since 1993 that McKagan and singer Axl Rose shared a concert stage.

The first photos of this historic event can be found below (all pictures courtesy of GUNS N' ROSES and Sebastian Bach via Twitter). Also available is low-quality fan-filmed video footage of the reunion.

The band's setlist was as follows:

01. Intro
02. Chinese Democracy
03. It's So Easy
04. Mr. Brownstone
05. Sorry
06. Shackler's Revenge
07. Richard Fortus Solo
08. Live And Let Die
09. Instrumental Jam
10. This I Love
11. Better
12. Rocket Queen
13. Dizzy Reed Solo
14. Street Of Dreams
15. You Could Be Mine (w/ Duff McKagan on bass)
16. The Ballad Of Death
17. Sweet Child O'Mine
18. Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)
19. Axl Piano Solo
20. November Rain
21. Bumblefoot Solo
22. I.R.S.
23. Nice Boys (w/ Duff McKagan on guitar)
24. Knocking On Heaven's Door (w/ Duff McKagan on guitar)
25. Nightrain

Encore:

26. Don't Cry
27. Madagascar
28. Patience (w/ Duff McKagan on tambourine)
29. Whole Lotta Rosie
30. Waiting On A Friend (jam)
31. Paradise City

According to Rock Radio, Rose claimed tonight's reunion came about by accident because he and McKagan happened to be staying at the same hotel. He told the crowd: "There was this guy at the end of my hallway playing all this loud music and shit. What the fuck? Oh ? it's Duff!"

Original GN'R guitarist Izzy Stradlin jammed with the current version of GN'R at a number of shows in 2006.

In a 2009 interview with AskMen.com, Duff was asked what he thought of GN'R'S latest album, "Chinese Democracy", which was released in November 2008 as a Best Buy exclusive, 17 years after the last all-original GUNS sets, "Use Your Illusion I" and "II". "It's funny; so many people have asked me that question and I gotta figure out why people think my opinion matters," Duff replied. "I think Axl did a great job on that record and other than that, the songs and the band are a completely different thing, so for me to really comment on the band, I might as well be commenting on the new Slipknot record. It's that far removed from me."

He continued, "We [Guns N' Roses] made our last record in '92 or '93 or something ? that was 16 years ago. That was a lifetime ago for me. I was still using and stuff back then. So, that's how long ago it was for me." He then added, "It's ['Chinese Democracy'] great. There are songs on it that I like and there are songs on it that I don't like, just like any other record."

During a 2009 interview with Billboard, Rose insisted that he will never share a stage with former GN'R guitarist Slash again. "One of the two of us will die before a reunion," Rose said. "However sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is." He also said, "I could see doing a song or so on the side with Izzy or having him out [on tour] again. I'm not so comfortable with doing anything having more than one of the alumni. Maybe something with Duff, but that's it."

Last year McKagan told Rolling Stone magazine that he's open to the idea of working with Rose again. "I'm not going to be one of those guys who's like 'fuck that, that'll never happen.' he said. "It could very well happen. I love Axl. We've been through a lot of shit together that nobody can take that away from us."

In addition to Rose, the current lineup of GN'Rincludes guitarists DJ Ashba, Ron Thal and Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer.

"Chinese Democracy" was a commercial disappointment, selling less than one million copies in the U.S. (according to Nielsen SoundScan) despite the long wait.

Thanks all of you ! Great jobs !
Well, he didn't say that. From what I can hear in the bootleg, he says "Three chords and we were really lucky for pulling that shit off" refering to Nice Boys chords progression.
