I'm waiting for the physical release to pick this up. Thanks for the youtube links

I have really been getting into Bucket in the last few weeks and have gone crazy buying his records. I bought all 5 pikes, Electric Sea, and a few more. I'm REALLY trying to get a hold of Crime Slunk Scene.

I did not really dig this lead guitarist to be honest. I am not dissing him, just not my taste that's all; too technical and not emotion for my taste.

& the mask in his face didn't help really, it shuts down emotion to the viewer.....  When did he left gnr again?

New album is pretty good.  I like how all the songs flow into eachother.  It is almost like one, long song.   It is a little more on the technical/shredding side, but I think the first track is really cool...has kind of a Hendrix vibe.  Still gotta give it a few more listens.

I don't know but it sounds like you haven't listened enough Buckethead's stuff. I know he does lot of "Star Wars sounds" and goes a million kilometers an hour but most beloved songs to his fans are his slow/emotinal songs. And he plays all kinds of genres and instruments.

He left in 2004.

Doesnt seem like your really bothered to give Buckethead a chance. The bloke is extremely talented. He has some albums that are muck and not worth listening to but has some brilliant stuff aswell.
Check out his song 'Soothsayer' on YouTube, full of emotion and fairly epic aswell. You dont need to see his face becasue the emotion is in the music, the mask really helps you to focus on the sounds, and bucket has some fairly emotional stuff full of feeling.

Thank you, lots of gold in this series. Especially like Happy Holidays.

1: Buckethead is not a guitarplayer, he is the personification of all guitarplayers fused 2gether.
2: Listen to Soothsayer
3: Slash dies between 2.18 and 2.36 in this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzEPRjVK56A).

His creative usage of the guitar and technology is actually one of his prime attributes.

When did he left gnr again?

He probably left some time after the failed 02-tour.

 Drama here...

March 30th, 2004 - It's announced that GN'R have cancelled the planned show at Rock In Rio - Lisbon in Lisbon, Portugal on May 30th. According to the press release, the show is cancelled because Buckethead left the band.

I think "Red Water Colors", off this album, is one of my  favorite Buckethead songs.  Just great on a technical level and the song structure.  It's in the youtube links...you can listen for yourself!

I don't like his music either... i mean electric tears is a beautiful album, but other then that... his music is just too sick and complex to me... it sounds like a system of a down on steroids albums without vocals... don't really like it... and i explored most of his cds...
