Title: GNR Tour Book
Post by: GypsySoul on August 15, 2017, 11:11:53 AM
Not sure what this is exactly.
Seems to me like it's something that should have been released at the beginning of the tour but here it is now.

Link goes straight to Spotify. No interest whatsover in starting a Spotify account, so that's as far as I'm going!

I think I can live without seeing a photo of the band as a reward for listening to an Appetite song!

I just tried it- you listen to a song for 30 seconds and then you get to see a picture, seriously. Am I missing something?

I don't think that we're - the older/ hardcore fans - are the  target audience for this kind of things.
And it's ok because nobody needs to sell us GN'R in any kind of way.

I'm happy for someone to sell me GNR- but there's nothing to buy!

Ok, can't take credit for this, as I got it from someone else on the Nightrain forum, (a rare visit!)  but if you look at the link they are using it is UMe, who are a division of UMG that handle reissues/special editions etc. http://www.universalmusicenterprises.com/

Could be nothing, but guy that spotted it is willing to bet me $20 a reissue is happening!

and the gnrtourbook website was designed by a freelance web designer UMe has hired many times to create campaigns for reissues & special releases.

If they do reissues of the GNR back catalogue it might be a good opportunity to include some of the unreleased tracks on what would have been Chinese Democracy II on a Chi Dem deluxe edition.

Seems like a better idea than shoe-horning Slash & Duff on the unreleased music, so the current can lineup can start from scratch if and when they decide to go in that direction.
