Weird, even weirder that the foreground/logo isn't centered with the background.

Not exactly sure what you're referring to but maybe it could have something to do with how/where the image/logo was originally copied, cropped and posted from.  I know sometimes when I attempt to copy an image off of instagram, what I see in the picture online doesn't entirely copy when I attempt to paste it here.

Got 2 in Golden Circle for London. Concert prices are ridiculous these days! Great stadium though, went to a recent NFL game here. If you've not been it's worth it.

I bought my tickets for Munich and Hamburg in Germany
and Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf / Netherlands

Bought gold area tickets for Prague.  About 110€ a piece.

Gonna be my girlfriends first GNR gig!

So what is this tour gonna be like the same as before???They say in the promo it's a new chapter but does that mean we will get a new show with new songs or that they will play more covers it must be very frustrating for Slash and Duff to have to continue to play just the old songs they must be sick of playing the same nostalgia show every night hopefully they've convinced Axl to access his song vaults and they release a new album in 2020.

It amazes me that people think that Duff and Slash are " held hostage" and have to play the "same old songs" against their will.  ???

As if Slash didn't literally play a career retrospective tour in 2011 with Myles, and continue playing old songs on the following tours. In fact, he only dropped the Guns songs from SMKC shows after they reunited.

Both Slash and Duff released new albums with  :peace:their side project during the tour they obviously needed another outlet to drive their creative juices any proper bands don't feel the need to do that ,GnR have had so many line up changes over the last 2 decades because most of them got tired of not doing any new music, surely the "next chapter" means a new album and should also be called "Not in this Lifetime ' :peace:

A scottish gig was teased in most of the UK press for this tour, and it said a date would be announced in the new year. Anyone got any info as to whether this is likely to happen? Would just take the hit and go to london/dublin (enough friends from the glory days of gn'r forums to crash on a couch) but would prefer to take in a gig on my doorstep.

There's space in the dates between the show in Holland and the one in Ireland. Maybe that's why?

Sweden Rock Festival has informed their fans that they are currently looking at different options . One is to postpone the festival. More information is expected around mid-April.

I'm surprised they have not postponed the European tour dates yet.  It is supposed to start in a month, probably hear something soon.

It might be because all this is affecting a lot of tours at the same time.

None of the festivals GN'R is scheduled to headline at has been postponed/canceled yet for example.

Other summer tours in Europe are still scheduled as well.

I think it's safe to say the tour will be postponed, but they're awaiting new dates to be announced.

To put things in perspective, Norway has got the pandemic "under control", but experts announced today that domestic football matches with an audience is not likely for 2020.

Nothing will have an audience this year imo. This is just our new normal for awhile. It's gonna take a massive increase in diagnostic and antibody testing and either an antiviral that eliminates the fatality risk or a vaccine. Harvard researchers today said some social distancing might be needed until 2022 without a vaccine.

I feel like with their reluctance to cancel that Mexico show, they are still holding out hope for Europe. Probably in vain though, IMO.

I don't think anybody is holding out hope.  All those festivals can't be rescheduled for this year.  So what to do about all those tickets they sold and no longer have the money to pay people back?  Could consider what the sports people are going to do, play without fans in the stands.  There's still options.

And webcast all the shows.

They need to announce something asap though.

The tour is supposed to start very soon.....decisions must have been made at this point.

It's an option.  I saw the Dead reunion shows that way.  The price was significantly less so there's that gap between what people paid for a ticket and what they can now charge for a webcast.  Still options with all of that.  I would think though the option to do your own webcasts on the side might be restricted.

True.....but I think it would be good to update people on what is going on even if it's just "these shows aren't happening, we're working on options, bear with us".

People may well think that these shows are going ahead and might even (stupid and illegal as it would be) try to start travelling to them soon. They're getting close now.

If they missed the announcement the world is shut down, I don't think they are going to get the update.  :hihi:  Fucking deadheads.

GN'R isn't selling tickets. That's handled by Ticketmaster and companies like that.

Since the shows haven't been canceled/postponed, they'll probably remain on sale.... And IF they're postponed, the original tickets will probably be valid for the new dates.

Yeah, fair point - it's Ticketmaster.

But surely there's no 'ifs' on a lot of these shows? Germany has a ban on all live music until the end of August, Austria until at least July for example. So the GNR shows simply cannot happen, which is why I find Ticketmaster still saying they are absolutely baffling.

The way I see it, is that the ticketing system will sell tickets until the show has either happened, or won't happen at all.

So the shows you mentioned, could still happen. At a later date.

But since this is affecting a lot of tours/concerts, it's not just as easy as postponing/canceling one show or tour. It's a lot of logistics involved.

It's a shame Livenation and Ticketmaster are being irresponsible with ticket sales.

The tickets themselves are fine, but the transport to the venues is the problem, that is where people will find trouble getting refunds

Social distancing could be a thing until 2022, coronaviruses have been around for almost 100 years, there has never been a vaccine or a cure. It's pie in the sky to expect anything quickly, it will be control over hospital intake and herd immunity that will be the ultimate cure, or hope that it mutates into something less.

It was announced yesterday in Germany that all big events (Wacken Festibal, Lollapallooza etc.) are not allowed until August.

I expect the band to cancel or postpone the whole tour soon.

The current plan is that they will allow culture events of maximum 60 people in June.

I think big events such as music festivals, football matches, etc will not happen until there's a vaccine. Football maybe not. Because there could be the players only. Having said that, this year is pretty much done.

Here in Brazil there's a new massive phenomemon called ''lives'' where artists performs their songs live and broadcast it over the internet (Youtube mainly). Would like to know if this is happening around the world.

Was day dreaming the other day about Axl, Slash and Duff maybe could pull something like this. They could perform acoustic songs. Would be awesome.

When they do resume touring, maybe not this specific tour, but maybe some other time it would be cool if the played, like three different sized venues in the same city. Stadium-setlist for casual goers, all the hits, arena- a bit more deep cuts and theater- off the charts with the setlist-go crazy, maybe all new songs, and in different arrangements or what not.

Back in the day Slash missed playing clubs when the were huge and playing stadiums. Just prior to the reunion, " Up Close and Personal" seemed like more like the only way to go at the time. Now they have the power to pick and choose where and how they want to play.

Saw a post on Reddit from Fernando where he said the tour is being worked on, but at the moment they unfortunately don't have an update.

He also mentioned that they are working on getting some live video material online for the fans.

The first show is being rescheduled according to the Portuguese promoter. So I don't think it's starting in ten days.

In fact, it's pretty safe to assume there's gonna be very little touring by international touring acts this summer.

I'm amazed we're 9 days off the tour (supposedly) starting (12 days not counting Portugal) and we've heard nothing. I'm starting to get very worried about where my money is, and and what is going on at this stage.

I dont believe that anyone expects the Euro or NA tour to happen at this point. Either we ll get a refund or simply keep our tickets for next year. Apparently they are trying to reschedule and it must be a headache with all the music and sports events that have been postponed for 2021. What type of updates are you all expecting so eagerly?

Well.....anything! At this stage, with the shows definitely not happening, I think a lot of people would like at least acknowledgement of this fact.

We have no idea if the plan is to reschedule for next year, or the shows to be cancelled outright. If rescheduling is on the cards; when for? A lot of people won't want their hundreds of Euros just floating in the air, with some 'to be rescheduled at some point' hanging in the air.

We're VERY close to the shows now. People have paid out money. It's only fair that they should be kept updated as to where the money is, and what the plans are. That's really not much to ask.

I think this is correct, it is all to do with insurance, contracts etc.. There has to be official advice for certain things to trigger and happen.

I think it's unbelievable that we have not had a single word about the European tour. Just say if it's going to be rescheduled or are we going to get a refund. £350 for two tickets is a lot of money, plus I've got tickets for Faith No More in June, nothing about that gig either.
On the bright side, I'm going to watch an old concert the night the London gig should be on May 29th, make a bit of an event of it as much as I can!

That would be my thinking. I hope they soon though, as I don't think it's a great idea to let the gigs dates go buy and not notify people of when their gig might actually be happening.

I understand concerns but i think we need to give them a break here. They're clearly doing their best given the ever changing information. What happens is solely dependent upon what federal, state and local governments in these countries decide is best and that keeps changing. This situation is unprecedented in modern times. We're all trying to figure it out together how to best handle it to keep everyone safe until there's a treatment or vaccine. We don't know what is going to happen anymore then the bands/promoters and governments. All announcements will be made as decisions are made it sucks but it is what it is.

We just got permission to change a wedding date, 30 days before hand.  They are sending us a "new contract".  Why couldn't we just initial the date change?  Forgot to ask if the rate is going up to help cover their losses.  :-\  We knew we weren't going to have it this year but we had to wait for them to cancel or we would have lost our deposit.  I'm hoping we aren't in this situation next year. 

Now that the European tour dates have been postponed, I wonder when we will get a update on the North American tour dates. Suppose to see GNR on July 18 MetLife stadium but NY is still under quarantine. Hopefully we will get an update soon.  :beer:

I would expect to hear about the North American tour around the same time frame as the Europe tour. Roughly a week or so prior to the first date.

Motley Crue are making an announcement on June 1 regarding their summer tour, hopefully GNR will not be far behind.

Right about on time with the first date for that tour scheduled for the 18th.
