Ive seen GNR live in 2010, 2011 (2 times), 2014, 2017. I hope to see them in september this year. To give an opinion of what i am seeing now, i think they should give 2 hours show, a shorter set, and get out some songs that seems to be more and more difficult to Axl, i dont understand why he don t use his chest voice in some parts of medium tones, he can sing in that way a lot of parts, instead of using that poor head voice.
I know that Slash is the iconic guitar of GNR, but i really miss the sound of Ron. Sometimes Slash is so dirty playing, an example, Estranged. He is playing the song so irregular, i know he use to do this but... The interpretation quality has changed a lot in my opinion since Ron left.  Obviously, more atendance now.
I dont know if i wrote this ok jaja

Agreed on both points. Axl should use his mid-range and low voice for almost all of Estranged and Brownstone, for example. He'll go into the head voice in places where the mid would sound much better.

I don't know why Slash always rushes the slower solos these days. Especially being sober now, it makes no sense that his playing is somehow sloppier than when he drank a half gallon of vodka a day!

There's very little, if any, change to Axl's voice over the last few years. There are times when he uses head voice, but he also uses a lot of a mixed head-chest voice. For example, at the start of the tour, he was using a lot of head voice on Back in Black. The last couple of shows, he's used more mixed voice with a lot more vocal fry. Perhaps, too much. As far as why, the answer is simple in that it allows for accessing notes needed for the song.

The best part about the shows i saw was seeing the band loving what they do. And having the liberty to play what they want. As long as they want. A 2hour show with just some hits would be boring.

It was so exciting to see them do Street Of Dreams for the first time in 10 years. And then after that play Coma like they wanna keep playing until the sun comes back up.
Also seeing the do Reckless Life for the first time since 1993 was so surprising and fresh and amazing. The joy was on both sides of the barricade.

Of course there are diferent opinions. And obiously Axl knows what he wants to play and the time 3, 4 hs, and the way he sings, etc.
But i think a 2 hs set, which can be changing through the tour, would be better.

And Ali, i was talking about the medium tones, he should use the chest voice. In high notes of course this is not possible (at least now).

That said. I miss Ron too
