Before GN'R played Chinese Democracy, Axl told a little anecdote why the new album is called "Chinese Democracy". He said it was because he saw a photo taken in Hong Kong, which he's using as the new album cover. Then he showed it on the video screens. It was a black and white picture of a bicycle with a basket, and in the wall behind it, someone had grafittied "guns n roses". During Paradise City there were pictures of Hong Kong on the video screen.

Yeah, I remember that.

I hope Axl's changed his mind because I didn't like the idea then nor I don't like it now. That cover looks like something Limp Bizkit or P.O.D will do...All GNR album covers have had something genuine ( even TSI?) so I'd expect something different...maybe fried rice this time??? hihi

I dunno about that pic. I always dug the real AFD cover. Anyone notice the speghetti on TSI doesn't look good? It looks like boyardee. intentional?

I like that picture with the bike and the Guns n Roses tagged onto the wall...but for the inside cover maybe  I hope they use something else for the front but at this point they could put no cover and I would buy CD I need CD

Both cover possibilities are good, but my personal favorite is the cover album contained on the Chinese Democracy info section on mygnr.com Its such a cool album cover I think.

Sometimes I wonder if something as stupid as Axl not being able to decide on the album cover is really what has been holding this little project up so long.  I would'nt put it past him.
